43 Sleepover

"A plan? What do you even thing you're gonna do?" Maya looked at Waze with disbelief.

"The less people who know the better. I don't want you to be in danger because you know too much." Waze gave Maya a serious expression.

"We promise we'll get everyone out of here though." Michelle smiled.

"I admire your optimism, but it really isn't possible. The doors only open twice a day, for breakfast and dinner. And when we get new girls, too." Katie looked down at the ground with a downcast expression.

"When do they bring us food?" Waze was hoping for an answer around 11:00, give or take a bit. If they busted out then, it would give them plenty of time to make their way to the back entrance to let the boys in.

"10:30am and pm," Katie said. Waze grinned.

"Perfect."

"We won't get shipped off in the next couple days though, right?" Cassidy asked doubtfully. That was their biggest fear, that they would get transferred to another location before they could rendezvous with the boys. If that happened, they would have to escape early and hide out in the hotel.

"No, no one will be sold until Friday. Every friday, they take us out and show us to buyers. Then, we get sold off based on if anyone wants us. I've been in here about two weeks. Apparently, my personality is less than desirable." Katie didn't look particularly upset over that.

"Really? Why not? I mean, what do the buyers usually go for?" Waze tilted her head at Katie in confusion.

"Usually buyers like the rebellious type or the submissive type, but I usually just end up casually throwing brutal insults out. Apparently they don't like that."

"Oh...really...haha..." Somehow, this girl was almost scary to Waze. "Well, at least you're still here."

"Yeah, I guess so." Katie gave Waze a weak smile. "I do hope that your plan goes well, and I wish you the best of luck. If there is anything I can do to help I'd be more than willing. I really don't think you're going to get much of anywhere, though. Countless girls have tried to escape but it never works."

"Maybe so, but we've never tried to escape before, right? So we might be able to do it. Anyway, we're pretty well equipped to deal with this kind of thing." Waze grinned. "Just hold out for us, ok?" Katie smiled sadly.

"Ok."

Waze yawned and stretched loudly.

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I am beat. And it's getting late, so I think I'll rest up so I'll be ready for tomorrow." Waze glanced around at her teammates as she waited for a response. They all muttered agreement.

Waze crawled over to the wall and curled up in fetal position. She felt the other girls flop down around her. It wasn't exactly comfortable, but Waze was too tired to care. Eventually, she fell asleep.

Waze slept well, considering she was locked in a dingy room in some abandoned hotel sleeping on the floor without a pillow or blanket. Then again, she was known for being able to sleep anywhere.

Waze awoke to the crash of a box landing on the ground. She rolled over and groaned, looking at the sight filtering through her tired eyes.

There was a couple men muttering something about breakfast standing over a multitude of cardboard boxes they had dumped on the ground. They trudged out of the room and slammed the door behind them.

Waze sat up and rubbed her eyes, her teammates around her doing the same. The girls in the room flocked to the boxes, tearing them open. Waze looked on with wide eyes. Breakfast.

Waze darted over to the box and grabbed some food. She glanced around and saw it was basically free for all. Hey, at least they were fed well. About half the boxes were shoved against one wall, unopened. Waze assumed those were for lunch.

Waze's teammates joined her at the boxes as they stocked up on food. They needed to eat well so that they'd have the energy for later, but they still didn't gorge, not wanting to hog the food.

Eventually, the boxes were empty of food, instead now filled with discarded wrappers. Waze sat back against the wall and looked around the room. The girls were fairly quiet, most of them looking too depressed to make conversation. Some were on the verge of tears, and some looked plain angry. Waze frowned. She didn't like seeing people upset like this. Suddenly, she had an idea.

"Hey, anyone wanna play a game?" All the heads in the room turned at Waze's loud remark.

"What?" Maya looked at Waze incredulously.

"A game. It's just, this is really boring, you know? And everyone seems to be feeling pretty shitty so what better way to distract us than a game? Anyway not like theres much more to do in here. Do you guys really just sit around all day?" Waze tilted her head as if what she was saying was perfectly normal.

"I mean... yeah pretty much." Katie nodded.

"Isn't that like, really boring?" Waze asked.

"Do you not realize the seriousness of whats happened to you?" Maya scowled at Waze.

"Well, yeah but like moping around isn't gonna fix anything. It just feels like shit. Might as well try to cheer up and fill the time with something, right?"

"I'm in." Michelle grinned.

"Me too. What do you have in mind?" Cassidy crawled over to where Waze was sitting, and soon Byrd and Sable had joined them too.

"Well, I guess it's just us." Waze turned to address the rest of the room. "If anyone wants to join, feel free." She looked back at her small group. "You guys ever heard of the game called 'Concentration'?"

Waze explained the game and everyone gathered into a circle. They started playing the game, laughing and joking over it like they were spending a day at the park. It really was a good distraction. Waze felt a tap on her shoulder.

"You think I could play?" Katie looked over nervously and Waze grinned.

"Yeah sure!" Waze scooted outward and let Katie join the circle.

Slowly, more girls came over until there was about 15 people in the circle. Even the girls who weren't playing were lingering on the outside, watching. The mood in the room was considerably lifted as laughter rippled through the circle. The girls had practically forgotten about their current situation.

Waze showed everyone a few more games, and eventually everyone in the room had split off into small groups talking and joking around as they played the games Waze had showed them.

Waze paused for a moment and smiled as she looked around. At least, if anything, she had cheered the girls up a bit. At least, she had brought some light to the dark room.
