Chapter 001 - Raido Kubo (Edited)

"Mom, I am going to school now, Tell Dad to get some sleep," Raido bid farewell to his mom.

Raido has blond messy hair, average height, and a fit build for his body.

Raido's Dad is working as a mangaka, His Mom is a full-time housewife. They are an average family with a decent house, food to eat, and some money to spend on leisure every now and then.

On his way to school, Raido saw some people wearing armor and gears in the newly made construction site. 'Oh, hunters, so cool...if only I could be one,' Raido thought.

That dungeon is a newly made D-rank Dungeon. Low-rank hunters are trying to clear that dungeon. 'Come on self be an awakened already,'

Raido can't help but to sigh and continue his way to school. His dream is to become a high-rank hunter, to have his own place and be rich.

After walking for some time, Raido finally reaches the school main gate.

"Umm, what is going on? is school suspended again?" Raido asked the man in a suit who was blocking the entrance.

"A B-rank dungeon appeared in the middle of the gym, The school is suspended for at least a week, The school will email you for any future updates." The Man in suit replied.

"Yes! Time to game with all my might! Campers, I swear to God I will eradicate you all," Raido said out loud.

The man weirdly looks at Raido.

"Did I said that out loud?" Raido embarrassingly asked.

After going home, Raido told his mom that school is suspended for at least a week then went straight to his room.

Raido opened his computer and put on his headset. He then clicked on the "Boku No Hunters" icon to start and play his game.

Boku No Hunters is an MMORPG with a diverse range of classes and skills to choose from. 'Mercenaries players are always trying to camp then PK me, They hinder me at finishing my quest, it's so frustrating but this time I will get my revenge!'

After playing for five hours straight, Raido felt thirsty so he grabbed the water bottle on his table, "ThunderGod AFK," He announced before leaving.

"Hurry up dude, this boss is quite strong we need to take him down fast," The voice in his headset said.

The voice has a slightly tomboyish sound in it.

Raido rushes himself to drink his fill causing the water to pour in his keyboard. "Damn it Pico! you made me spill my drink!"

The spilled water from the keyboard unrealistically flows towards the System Unit then on the way to the power plug. It was too late when Raido saw it because the water was already a second away from the power socket. "Oh, Shit!"

Bzzzztttt!!!

The power in their whole area went unstable for a few seconds before returning. Raido loses balance as a ringing sound evades his head, everything became blurry as Raido fight to keep his consciousness.

'Ugh, my head. This might be bad, I think I'm dying…I'm not a genius and all but I don't think water is supposed to do that,' Raido thought as he looked around his room.

He noticed that his PC is no longer working but no smoke or burnt smell anywhere near it but to avoid further accidents Raido gathered his strength to plug it out.

"Raido are you okay?" His mom knocked and said with a worried voice.

"I'm fine, mom! you don't need to worry," Raido said not mentioning that he is the one responsible for the temporary power loss.

"Must be a problem from the electric company, If you're hungry I left some food in the fridge," Raido's mom left after confirming that he is safe.

Raido didn't want to worry his mom so he lied. After confirming that his mom already left Raido left his fate to the RNG gods and passed out.

[Enough power received! System booting up...]

Raido woke up because numerous text keeps popping inside his head. He looks in the window and saw that the sun is already up.

[Salutations unconfirmed host, Do you wish to accept the system?]

The message is not present in front of him but inside of his head. 'This is new, Did I go complete retarded?'

[Reconfirming…The System requires your consent (Y), (N)]

'What is the system?' Raido mentaly asked but still working on believing this crap.

But hunters and monsters already exist in the first place so why not this?

[Various things, Do you accept the system to be bonded to your soul? Take note that this is an eternally long contract.]

"Wait what? Is this what I think it is? Yes!" Raido shouted, he was afraid to miss this crazy opportunity. He remembered that read some manga about people who got reincarnated with a system. Only a dumb person will deny a system. He just wishes that this isn't a dream.

[Processing….Success! System Bonded. Welcome Host, Raido Kubo.]

The system changes its color from the gray colored panel to sky blue.

[Please choose your Race and Job.]

Raido's eyes went comically wide and thought, 'I really hope this isn't a dream, is this awakening feels like for everyone?'
