2 :So what now:

Stellas Pov.

So Its been about 9 months since I came into this world. I know that I'm still on earth, but a secret part of it that only a few know. I'm now 9 months and 2weeks old, I finally figured out a few words ones being where I live. It's a small village called Oclil in the country of Gloywana.

That's all I could understand so far but I'm getting there, I can talk now. To say my parents were surprised was an understatement, They stood there shocked that a 9-month-old baby could speak, it shocked me too I wasn't expecting my parents to walk in and see me talking to myself, panicking I did what any normal baby would do.

I cried my little eyes and oh boy that did it. that seemed to snap them out of there shocked dazed and come rushing to me picking me up, rocking me. "Oh Stella! its ok honey, shh its ok" I hear mother say trying to calm me down. But it looks like it made it worse I cried hard and louder that I think are king can hear me. "Here Elle let me try" now with my father holding me I start to calm down somewhat.

"There that right my little star, you're safe. Its ok," he coos at me, my cries now become soft whimpers as I smuggle into my fathers embrace slowly falling asleep.

"Lou honey did you know she could talk" I hear mother ask him as he sets me down in the cot, I move around a bit before settling down again. "No Elle I didn't, Maybe it's her mana? we'll check it out later, come dear let's leave her to sleep."I can barely hear them leave before sleep takes over my mind. I open my eyes and see I'm in the same field again, but I can see its somewhat different I wonder why? Tilting my head I look over at the big oak tree and see 'him' sitting there. I giggle softly and walk over to him, "Hello, again" I said taking a seat next to him.

"Yes hello again my sweet, how do you like the change?" he asks gesturing to the field around us, I look around and see there are more trees and even some animals I can also make out what seems to be a swing on one of the trees. I look back at 'him' and nod "I like the change but my question is why did it change?" I ask looking over at 'him' with a raised eyebrow "well that's simple my dear, Your growing in power and spirit its only natural this place grows with you, no?" "well I guess not, can you tell me what this place is?"

I ask thinking back to one of the many journals I wrote in my last life, this place looks a lot like what I wish I had to escape from that world. I feel something soft and warm on my shoulder, I look up and see his hand on my shoulder. "Are you alright dear?" I can hear worry and something else I can't depict from him. I nod "Yes Just thinking about something don't worry I'm fine." I finish with a small sad smile. "Well if you say so my dear, now to answer your question. We are in your mindscape." Mindscape? "Um, then why are you here? I don't remember seeing you anywhere before."

He looks at me, then the biggest smirk appears on his face I tilt my head in confusion at him. "You'll know soon enough my dear, don't worry your pretty little head about it" he smiles softly at me and pets my head in a lovely and caring motion. For some reason, I feel like I know him but that's not possible, but why do I get the feeling that's wrong.

I sighed shaking my head. "Well can you tell me why I don't have much mana before I go?" I ask hopefully. "of course my dear that's very simple.....I have no idea why." What..? "I thought you'd know why" But before I can hear a response I start to fade back into conciseness. And with that, I wake up to my mother picking me up getting ready to feed me. "oh hello Stella, did you sleep well sweety?" mother asks me since they don't know I can understand them, I giggle as my response. "My aren't you happy today, come let's get you feed and then go see daddy today."

After mother feeds me we head out to visit father I wonder where he works? "Stella, you see that?" Mother pointed to a huge strange looking tree. "that what we call a soul tree its been around since the first king found this place. Not many people know this." looking at the tree I can feel something seeping out of it going in the earth and air around us. reaching out my tiny hand I can feel whatever it is moving to my hand and absorbing into me.

Is this mana? before I can fully understand it we start moving away from the tree. "Well let's get moving before we miss daddy" A few minutes in I notice weren't are in the village anymore as if almost sensing my confusion mother giggles at me. "yes honey we aren't at the village anymore, to meet daddy we have to be at a very special place to see him." What? that's not comforting at all! what if we get attacked!! looks like fate hates me because that's exactly what happens some strange looking creatures jump out in front of mother and me.

"What?! what's a Venenum doing here?! they don't reside here!" Frozen with fear for mother and I's life I can't help but cry out in fear. "shhh honey its ok I won't let them hur-" but before mother can finish, it speaks. "well, look what we have here boys a moon elf and what looks to be a baby, aw looks good enough to eat!" It said with a growl at the end staring at me with hungry eyes. I start to shake to scared to cry anymore.

"Stella, don't worry mommy will keep you safe even at the cost of my own life," Mother said sweetly at me trying to stop my shaking. I look at her in complete despair with tears streaming down my cheeks. "Aww mommy here thinks she can keep her baby safe" They cackled at us then suddenly lunge! One trying to slice us but misses and hits a nearby tree. It melts upon contact turning into mush, shit they have poison! of all the times to be powerless it had to be now! All of a sudden Roots and vines start to wrap around us like a shield I can hear mother chanting some kind of spell

"Bask in roots my kin, and lent me thy strength!" with the vines and roots shielding use. Mother quickly says another spell lifting me up in the air "Spirits of thy sky beckon to my call!" I'm being lifted up in the air a ball of light and air, I see mother cast a spell to keep me away from them. But what about her?! I look over and see her fighting one of them, she chants another spell while holding of another "Souls of fire come to my aide!" after she said that a large fire beam shoots into the sky sending what looks like a beacon for help.

Just when she's about to cast another spell one of the venenum get behind her and jump. I try to tell her but nothing but baby babbling comes out. No! "ARGH!" she lands hard on the ground with one of them on her stopping her movements "finally! your good but not good enough to keep your baby safe!" one of them yells at her holding her tighter "L-let me go! y-you can take me but leave Stella alone!!"

I can hear her struggling to breath trying to break free and get to me. But she can't "No listen here you elf! we can do what we please with what and whoever we want! now sit still and watch me get your sweet little baby hahaha!" The leader of the Venenum comes closer to me and tries to touch me but can't because of the barrier my mother put up around me. "shit! elf what did you do!? I can't touch her without burning...unless I do this!" He said smirking, then pulls some kind of rock out from around his neck and holds it up to me.

slowly I'm being let down towards his claw, I start to wiggle trying to get away from his grasp, I can't help but feel hopelessness slowly making its way into my soul I start to cry. "Aww, the poor thing here let me help!! Ahaha!" Just as he's about to grab me and end my short life, He's thrown away from me into a tree nearby, not paying much mind to that I focus on my mother I look over and see someone helping her up and checking her for any injuries seeing her safe my cries are now little hiccups. "Argh! damn you mage!! always getting in the way!! now give me my snack!!"

It roared. As I continue to float down I feel a pair of arms catch me and hold me close looking up I giggle waving my arms around at the person who got me as a thank you. "Hello there little one, my you sure are Lou's kid, huh you got his eyes and Elle's hair!" This person exclaims and starts to hug me tighter, I stop giggling and take a closer look at him he's got brown short hair and fire red eyes, he looks a few years older than my parents.

"Hey, Nozran don't spin her around! shes still a baby!!" I can hear fathers voice and see him coming over to us after making sure mother is ok, looks like he finished the rest of the Venenums off. "ok chill I know how to handle kids I mean look at her she's not crying now is she? no, she not." "I don't care if you know how to or not! don't spin her! now give me my daughter back" As I'm being handed off to my father I can see Norzans full body. I'm shocked by what I see, he's a centaur! no wonder they got here so fast! "now let's take you to mommy hm?" I hear father say I give him a look of 'He's a centaur?' this made him laugh "haha, yes honey he's part horse see he's got four legs instead of two like us" I look over just in time to see Norzans face, not being able to stop my self I yell "Horsey!" and giggle like a mad person clapping my hands. This action seemed to make everybody stop moving and look at me wide-eyed. "Oh, my Stella talked!! she talked! and her first word was horsey!!" I hear mother over my giggles and stop to look at her. Did I talk? I thought I said that in my mind...Shit.
