20 Chapter 20

AN: I'm thinking of getting rid of wood release for the MC. I want his adventures to be more of a challenge. As compensation, I'll make him smarter. Tell me what y'all think of this?

"A little kid, to fight me?" 21 scoffed at Homura. His pride as a ninja would net let a kid defeat him.

"I'm going to fucking kill you. And then I'll slice you up, and -"

"Shut up." A voice said, while a hand appeared out of nowhere and gripped the 21's head. "Your human trash."

Homura took out his kunai in a flash and attempted to slit his throat. The man seeing this, used substitution jutsu and escaped the Kunai's path by a hairs width.

"Not bad kid, but your not going to catch me off guard like that again." 21 said.

"Times 10. Good luck." Homura said, with a deathly stare.

"Times 10 wha-" The man couldn't finish his sentence. Blood was already gushing out of his neck. He fell down on the ground with disbelief.

"Too easy." Homura said. "Mom, are you sure he was a Jonin?"

Akira had an awkward look on her face. "I think he was. How's your chakra looking like?"

"I think I could go for another 5 minutes in times 10."

"Most battles only last 15-20 seconds. Your more than fine." Akira was already used to the insane speeds. "Be ready for people to come. His name was 21, so I think there might be 20 people stronger than him. We should watch out."

"Your right, you should watch out." A girly voice said.

Homura and Akira turned around to see a female wearing traditional ninja clothing. She was quite short, and had an angry look on her face.

"Let me guess, your higher ranked than he was?" Homura said, with a bored look on his face.

"How perceptive. Indeed, my name is 15. You shall meet your -"

"Just shut up. Why are y'all so damn talkative? Let's fight." Homura said, with annoyance.

"You damned kid. Just so you know, I was raised since birth to be a ninja. I am the epitome of fundamentals."

"Can your fundamentals beat overwhelming speed?" Homura said, with a smile.

"What do you mean, 'overwhelming speed'? Your just a k-"

"This is what I meant." A voice interrupted her from behind. "Good bye."

Before she could react, he slit her throat. All that was heard was 15 trying to speak. But all that come out was incoherent speech with blood flying everywhere. Homura admired his handy work.

'Damn, I'm overpowered.'

Ding: Please humble yourself. You'd still lose to the likes of Madara, or the 4th Raikage. In fact, if someone suprised you, you would most certainly die.

'Way to make me feel good, system.' The system did not respond.

"I don't think we'll be seeing any one for a while. So let's stay out until the morning, then we'll head out."

"Ok mom."

"And if you need to talk to me about anything, like taking another's life, don't be afraid to talk. It can be hard."

"I'm not going to pretend, so I'm just going to say that I felt no empathy at all for them. Maybe it was because they were evil, I don't know."

"It's okay, hunny." Akira responded. She did, after all, teach him that killing is natural in this world.

Meanwhile, Homura was lying on the ground.

Ding: So your telling me, that you felt nothing from killing them?

'Of course I felt something! Who do you think I am, some psychopath?'

Ding: Then why did you lie to your mom?

'Because I didn't want to have that conversation. It just sucks and I don't want to deal with that.

Ding: You truly are lazy. You know that?

"So what? I'll deal with it on my own. I'm in the Naruto world after all. Killing is just part of the process. I just need to wind down and think of other things."

The reality of it, is that the vast majority of people would feel guilt from killing people. It doesn't matter who you are. And Homura felt guilt. He felt guilt the first time he killed someone, and now when he was fully conscious doing it, he felt guilt.

Homura then feel asleep, thinking about what he did today.

AN: This is me a couple hours after posting. I think I will be keeping the wood release, but, his main source of powers are his eyes. So anyone is wondering I'm not gonna nerf him. Cause people hate that shit.
