Chapter 8 : Family Part 2

I sat down on the chair nearby and started looking at the pictures around. The two kids who seemed to be about 9 or 10 years old looked at me with a curious expression.

"Hi" I tried to bring down the awkward situation down.

"Who are you?" The little girl asked " yeah, what are you doing in our house?" The boy tried to sound authoritative.

It was absolutely funny, their words and their tone don't match at all.

" My name is Jonathan Hardy, I came to meet your dad . What are your names?"

"Ben""May" they replied at the same time . Those names reminded me of the legendary origin story.

ENTER PARKER COUPLE

"So, I'm late for work. " I said trying to escape from the incredibly insane conversation that was about to start.

" Wait, we have some things to talk about. Wait you said work! You're 17!" my dad said

"I graduated a year and half ago. I work at Stark Industries in the nanotechnology department." I said earning a few surprised stares.

" You're staying and you lot change into your pajamas " MJ Parker aka my stepmother. No let's keep it at Mrs Parker.

She said to me and her kids apparently my little siblings.

"I call Tony, we have to talk." My Dad finished " I made lasagna, let's have lunch"

Knowing I had no way through, I could only accept their demands.

We sat at the dining table like the big reveal didn't happen.

"You like lasagna " MJP asked me

" Yes, especially when it's made purely Italian." I said with a smile to which she smiled in return . She seems nice , well it's not like you can accept your husband's son to drop by and enter the family suddenly.

"For long did you have your powers? " my Dad asked

"I awakened my spider sense at 10 and the other started to manifest over the years ."

My phone died off . "Let's put it on charge " Dad said

"I can do it " little Ben offered help

"It's alright Ben , let me show you a small trick of mine" I started channel electricity into my fingers and slowly charged the phone in one shot.

"That's new, I could never do that!" My dad exclaimed in surprise.

while the little guys just seemed amused.

'Skill issue' I thought with a small grin.

"Did you just think 'skill issue' ?" mrs Parker asked. To which I stared sweating quite visibly.

"I know that look , I saw it many times on his face "she said pointing at Peter "He's definitely a Parker , all that pride is bloody genetic. I fear the day Ben and May have the same thoughts" she said while sighing.

"sorry, no offence " I said with a small apologetic but sarcastic smile.

"none taken. I have my own strengths " He said trying not to look embarrassed and jealous.

AFTER LUNCH

" I should leave" I said " " my other jobs calls " I said while looking at my phone which alerted me of a breakin at the prison.

"Go" My dad said

I threw aside my normal clothes and put on my inner suit revealing my perfect abs.

I activated my phone and put on the web shooters and the entire swarm of nanobots covered my body.

"Show off " The Parker couple said in unison.

"Oh you know you like it" I said those words while I slingshot myself with the nearby buildings.

GENERAL POV:

STATE PENITENTIARY

BOOOM!!!

Some 50 or so thugs broke into the prison cells to extract some prisoners.

JOHN POV:

Let's blow their way out . I damaged the engine with my electricity shorting out the entire car . I made sure I don't cause another explosion.

So let's see.

I entered the prison cells , the guards were either knocked out or dead.

Dammit , I should've arrived sooner. I webbed the guys trying to escape.

"If you want to leave, serve your sentence, no need to cause such drama "

Bullets were being fired at me.

I knocked the heads of the thugs and escapees with nearby bricks and electrocuted them until they stopped moving.

I finally subdued everyone, there were some casualties. 35 injured and 3 dead guards.

I should try to be better , faster, smarter. I need to learn how to fight , hmmm there someone who can teach me.
