13 Studio Time

"hit the number 3," he told her she pushed it and the doors closed and they were moving a moment later the doors opened

and he quickly got out went down the hall and opened a door

"they stood a large white room that was split in half one half of the room had instruments set up

this is where we practice and record with our instruments he said

the center of which was Liams drum kit

there was Zane's guitar to the right and Kaleb's bass guitar to the left a mic stand was in front

and off to the side of them was a sleek black grand piano

"wow who plays the piano?" she asked in surprise

"I do" he replied "I use it mostly for composing melodies"

"you can play?" she asked in surprise

he took her to the instrument and sat down holding her on his lap his hands at the keys he began to play a gentle melody for her

"my mom taught me when I was young," he said "she was a great piano player but she never pursued being a musician she

loved jazzy bluesy music from Earth and she loved to play and sing, whenever she was home, our home was always lively,

and she had a collection of records of her favorite singers, she would play on her ship when she and dad were on trips,

but they are all gone now I think,"

"so music is in your blood!" Sienna said softly

she hugged him happy he was sharing things about himself with her

"your mom sounds like she was an amazing woman I'm so sorry for your loss"

"thank you, I think she would have liked you very much," he said brushing his nose against her cheek

sienna hugged him stroking his jaw and nape with her hands her heart was moved by his mother's story

she was a brave woman the first earthling to bond with a Huassain male and gave birth to such an amazing and talented son

teaching him to play the piano filling her home with earth's music traveling the galaxy with her mate

she truly wished she could have met her

what's that? she asked pointing to the back wall

you noticed that huh! he said with a chuckle

he took her closer so she could see it better

"oh my god!" she breathed as she recognized the faces of the people in the painting

"its the ROCKET COWBOYS," he said "the most legendary rock band in the galaxy

the star-streams were created because of these guys

they were legit the first rock band in outer space,

their music had a massive impact and influence on every planet they made people who listened to their songs

dream about life traveling among the stars they set the standard for galactic musical domination" he joked

"wow whoever used to own this house before you guys must have been a huge fan of theirs," she said

"it's exactly because of this painting, we decided to use this space as our studio, like our good luck charm," he said

Daisuke took her to the other half of the room opening the door to a room that was a small booth with soundproofed walls

"This is the vocal recording room," he said letting her get a look inside it just had a microphone in the middle of the room

with some headphones hung on the wall and a glass window

"next door is the actual studio," he said opening another door to what looked like an office with a large desk

with unfamiliar equipment set up on it

"This is called a soundboard" he explained this is how production is done"

a computer with multiple touch screens in front where complicated-looking programs were running

and the window that looked into the recording booth next door behind the desk was a swivel chair

and along the wall behind it was a gray couch and coffee table in front of it

a mini-fridge mounted in the wall in the corner

its door glowed with blue neon light showing its interior filled with drinks and snacks

he set her down on the couch and picked up a remote from the coffee table

pushing a button a panel in the wall in front slid open revealing a holo-screen hidden behind it

"you can watch a show while I work so you won't be bored, there is also drinks and snacks in the fridge if you like"

"thanks", she said smiling he dropped a kiss on her forehead "I need to get to work"

"ok" she nodded in agreement

watching as he sat in his chair and put on a pair of headphones that were on the desk

she went to the fridge and got something to drink and then settled on the couch

deciding to catch up on one of her favorite shows

every now and then he would swivel his chair to chat with her remarking on what she was watching

or he would just reach behind him to stroke her hair absently while he worked

the rest of the day passed pleasantly into the evening without either noticing the passing hours

they were very much content to be in their own world

it wasn't until dinner time that in the late evening when they were disturbed by that time Daisuke had just put the finishing touches on the song

"sienna come here!" he said in an excited voice tapping her on the head

she got off the couch and went to his side he pulled her to sit on his lap

as he unplugged his headphones letting the song play through speakers

sienna eyes widened "Oh!" she breathed covering her mouth with her hands

"Daisuke its!"

she had no words to describe what she was hearing it was beyond good beyond amazing

the way he mixed and blended sounds the song did not fit into any defined genre

it was unique unto itself a mix of genres from multiple worlds

r&b trap hip-hop style beat from earth blended with rock

but the bass of the beat itself was made with the revving rpm engine sounds that originated from racetracks of speed world

where Kanna and Kaleb had come from and it sounded hella amazing with Zane's guitar wailing over it

and there was still an unbelievable EDM style drop that was blends of tribal sounds

from Huassain driven by Laims intense drums, the entire song was given an additional galactic ambient vibe in the verses drifting behind the melody played by the instruments

were the sounds of sea creatures from Zane and Melody's home planet of Atlantica beautifully added in

they really caught the ear and kept the listener hooked to the songs melody

"I wanted to add sounds from each of our home planets to represent all of us" he explained

I'm going to keep all these unique sounds from our home planets

as a running theme through all our songs, it will be our trademark that defines our sound

no one else will have these sounds incorporated into their music as we do

I figured if we had a trademark sound, it will make us stand out more from everyone else"

"It's beautiful Daisuke it's so amazing!" she cried "I don't even know what to say about the level of creativity behind this! is pure genius! I have never heard anything like this before!"

"I wish I could somehow unscrew your head and take a look inside your brain right now I can't even

and then there is still your beautiful voice singing the lyrics ahh!" she cried

she released a little scream unable to contain herself she threw her arms around him and kissed him

Daisuke moaned kissing her back and it was that precise moment when Liam knocked on the studio door and walked in

"Daisuke have you seen... oh shit" he breathed in shock

the pair broke apart interrupted sienna released a small cry and hid her face in Daisuke's chest

who put an arm around her shielding her from Liam's eyes

"what is it Liam?" he growled

"I uh came to look for you cause dinner

is ready and Kanna went to look for sienna but she was not in her room

and everyone was looking for her, ok never mind I'll tell them she's not missing, bye"

he quickly left the room sienna groaned Daisuke released a sigh "dam it sorry baby" he stroked her hair

"it's not your fault I'm too impulsive," she said

he chuckled and she peeked up at him a smile playing about her lips

he ruffled her hair "let me just save this and make a copy for the meeting at the company and then we will go to dinner"

she nodded in agreement and a short time later the pair was heading down in the elevator to dinner

Daisuke was holding her in the elevator acting clingy which sienna loved

she was living for his warmth they entered the dining room holding hands

"Sienna! there you are!" melody cried with a grin as they entered the room

"oh my gosh, what is all this?

sienna cried the dining table was laid with food and drinks they had music playing loudly

and pretty lights flashed on the walls while bunches of balloons were tethered here and there about the room

"it's your welcome party!" Kanna cried "surprise!!"

"a welcome party for me?" sienna cried rushing to the table and looking over the many delicious looking dishes

"yes of course who else silly?" Melody cried hugging her

"We actually wanted to throw a pool party but since Daisuke had to finish work on the song and

such we decided on this option instead"

"oh my thank you guys so much you really you didn't have to do this much for me sienna said touched to the bottom of her heart

of course, we did we wanted to welcome you properly Zane said he put a glass of drink in her hand

Welcome to the team sienna thank you she replied accepting the glass

yo sienna you the best songwriter Kaleb said from across the room with a grin

lifting his glass to her she lifted her glass to him with a bright smile

congrats Daisuke Liam said offering him a glass of drink with a smile

Daisuke took it thank you, bro

Welcome to the family Lil sis he clinked his glass with sienna's very happy to have you join us take good of my bro

thank you I will sienna said shyly blushing

wait what is going on? Kanna asked in surprise

sienna felt shy blushing even redder Daisuke came to the table and drew her into his side

first of all, AFTER YOU is completed it's done and ready to be released

you guys are fast I figured it would take a little longer knowing Daisuke

melody laughed in agreement Kanna and I thought we would have to help sienna come up with a plan for you

yes Daisuke said chuckling sienna is actually my mate I recognized her the day we met

when I read her writing for the first time and her lyrics were able to move my heart

only a mate has that kind of power to let me feel her with all of my senses

just from some words written on a page, i knew she was the one

I was hesitating because I was worried about some things, to be honest

he flushed embarrassed what kind of cute girl like her wants to wind up stuck with a caveman like me?

melody had tears in her eyes Zane's arm around her waist he was nodding a knowing look in his eyes

but she was more worried about not being able to be with me because she's human Daisuke said
