Realistic Life

"Its been a while hasn't it, big sis? "

Trembling as my inability to move an inch as caused by my fear of him. Him, an evil and twisted man who only cared about me out of sheer curiosity. His father was my fathers right hand man and personal butler. As such, his admiration for my father has caused him to follow the path hat serving me as his father served mine, a time honored tradition.

"W-w… w-w… "

"Oh, cat got your tounge? Mistress? " His twisted chuckle echoed throight the manner as I fought him as best I could.

"H-how did you find me?! " Having exhausted a breath, his eyes pierced mine as he spoke with Jo emotion.

"I followed the police scanners… imagine my surprise when a rather famous figure around here, was suddenly being escorted by helicopter to a nearby hospital for trauma to the head? How… unfortunate, wouldn't you say, Mistela, or is it ghost? Hmm… "

Gulping as I held my hands to my chest. His words were vile and filled without emotion which only terrified me even more.

"W-what do you want, Nix… "

"Oh, what I've always gotten, My Lady?! You. I've come for you. "

Hearing his words only forced a deep pit to form in my stomach as whatever he said, often came true. Including what he said about my curse, and with it, is how he said he found me.

"I-Ive had enough Nix! Y-you have hurt everyone who gets close to me and you even ki-ki-... "

"Yes! Go in! Say it! Say it Mistress… do day it…"

Turning my gaze away as I held in my emotions, I liter my hand and ordered him to leave the estate.

"Oh… what is the big bad wolf night longer needed by little miss red? Please… you know as well as I do, the longer you stay here, the worse that kid is going to live his life with a cursed nobody like you, Mistress. "

Lowering my gaze as his words were digging into my heart. Fighting him, I didn't care and ordered him to leave.

"Hmm… if only it were that simple, Mistress… Your father and mine wouldn't have gone to prison for the maximum sentence. All we both have now… "

Praying him bit to say it, I would have done anything, however, those words killed my resolve no matter what anyone said.

"Come on, now… You just need to say it… say, all we have now is-"

Feeling the out in my stomach slowly fade away as his words echoed in my ear, I began to find myself growing distant.

"Now… all we have is-"

"A-a… a… a-al.. " Resisting him with all my muggy, my eyes had begun to hang low as he drew closer to my face to whisper in my ear.

"You know this ti be true, everywhere you go, disaster and chaos follow... Now, say these words, all we have is-"

Reaching my breaking point as his hypnotic trick failed. Slapping him across the face, he stepped back as his nose began to bleed.

"I am Mistel de'la Rose! I am my own person and don't require to give in to anyone! "

His surprised face filled with glee and joy as I looked down in him like trash.

"Oh yes! Yes! My lady! Of course you are the most beautiful and talented woman in all the world! "

"Where am I? Speak, you useless dog! "

Looking up as he crawled down to my feet, I kicked his face as he got up and told me we were in a mansion owned by a well known noble family.

"How repulsive… you dare have me stay in such a lowly mansion! Ugh! How vulgar! "

"Should it please, my lady?! I have prepared a car to escort you back to your estate in the mountains. "

Kicking him across the chest, I began walking toward the exit as my butler escorted me off the property.

~

Sitting in the back seat while having my feet massaged as a driver took us up a mountain, I polished my heinous nails as they looked untamed for weeks.

"How long was I out? Dog! "

"A little over a month, mistress… You suddenly collapsed one day at the manner and the next, you were gone. "

"I see… How repulsive. I assume that thing, took over again? What became of my medication? "

Turning his coat and handing me a white envelope with a glass of water, I took out the pills and swallowed them.

"Hmm… be sure to tip the noble family that housed my body while I was out. I'm sure-" Suddenly weary as I heard her voice, I lightly touched my head my until it calmed down.

"Mistress? Is everything okay? "

Waving my hand with such an irritated face, we sped up to head back to the manner as I needed to take the rest of my medication to calm these headaches.

~

Walking through the large doors, I sat down near the entrence and had the doctors come and bring the cart for my medicine. As they arrived, I closed the gao and tlstood over the metal cart as I took the pills to calm my splitting headache.

"Shut it… Damn! Shut the hell up! Go back to sleep you insolent dog! "

Lightly living my head, the drugs began to take affect and as I sat back down to catch my breath, I look faced up to fete the breeze.

"Have you calmed, Mistress? "

Opening my eyes into a low gaze as they glistened with disgust, I stood up whips stripping down my clothes and heading for a bath.

"The upstairs bath has already been arranged, Mistress. Do enjoy it, please. "

"Hmm… You might just have some use afterall dog. "

~

With a low hanging gaze, I sat in the steaming bathtub as I had the entire grand hall to myself. Hearing the water make ripples as I lifted my legs, myind was still half aching as the worst of it had finally calmed. Gulping as this was the first time I ever felt her fight me with control, I was worried what may had happened in the month I was gone.

"Dog! "

As his footsteps approached, I turned to meet his starstruck gaze and asked him what I did the past month.

"I do not have that information, Mistress! Please, I hope you punish me for my incompetent ability as your butler."

"That won't be necessary, just tell me why I was in that small mansion? "

His gaze then shifted as he became more serious.

"I do not know… however, just before I found you, the master of that mansion was taken into emergency care via helicopter due to blunt trauma to the head. "

In that moment, I touched my chest as what he said struck a chord within my heart.

"Who was it they transported, what was his name? "

Softly bowing his head as he spoke with such a disappointing tone,

"I do not know, Mistress… As you know, noble families often keep their real names from public records to avoid any weaknesses they may have. "

Slamming my hand onto the rim of the bath, I stood up and demanded he go and find what the Masters name was.

"As you wish, Mistress. "

As he left the room, I could only face up to the ceiling as this empty feeling in my chest was not my own. I could feel her carving at my insides at the mention of the Masters hospitalization.

"What did you do… Mistela… "

~

Waking up in my room, I was wearing a short, silk nightdress as the sweat had formed all over my body from the heat. Getting up, I walked out of my room and headed to the master Kitchen where I ate a late night snack. Sitting down, I enjoyed a French cuisine that's was supposed to be meant for lunch.

"Mistress… It's a pleasure to have you dining in the kitchen once more. "

Turning my gaze as I met my head chief who often found me later eat night, eating his creations.

"Hey. "

As I stopped halfway, I turned and asked him a question.

"What does it mean when you feel… empty, inside? "

"Hmm… that sounds like the work of an aching heart."

Shitting my body towards him, I spoke.

"What if the aching heart… was not my own? How can I make it stop? "

"Hmm… If  feelings are not your own, Mistress, then, why not try returning them to one who stole them from you in the first place? "

Looking towards the floor as it made no difference, I hated the fact of knowing there was someone else who had something I didn't. Taking a last bite, I stood up and headed back I my room while sorting out my head.

~

Walking along the large halls, I stopped to loom at a picture frame of my late father and his butler. Having been given his vast fortune from the will mother left for me, I didn't know why I would ever leave here in the first place.

"What was it that you feared… "

Closing my eyes and touching my head lightly, I waited until it passed and headed back to my room.

Sitting down in the foot of my large bed, I turned to look out the window in the terrace and stepped outside. Once there, I bundled up as the cold breeze rolled through my hair and inside the room. Looking around, I imagined a small garden and as my eyes adjusted, it turned back into my estate.

"What is it you wish ti see so badly… Why are you hurting, what is this painful feeling. "

Holding my head again as the feeling grew for a split second, I regained my bearings and inhaled a soft breath. Opening my eyes, the headache suddenly disappeared, however the feelings were still there.

Lowering my gaze, I stared out into the city as I wondered what to make of these new found feelings of emptiness.

~

The next day, I decided to take a trip to the hospital and pay the Master who was injured a visit.

As I arrived, I stepped out and headed inside as I was suddenly stopped when they asked for a name. Irritated, I turned around and was about to leave when a woman stopped me and smiled. Grateful and relieved I was where, she took my hand and escorted me to the Masters room.

"He's right through there, My Lady. He's been wanting to see you. "

Gulping as my chest burned for a moment, I turned and opens the door.

Walking inside as if I was traversing uncharted territory. Inception inside, I saw him in the bed as his head was wrapped in bandages. Asleep, I walked gently to his side where the feeling in my chest exploded into a fiery pit. Holding my chest, I sat down beside him on an open seat and looked at him as I believed him till be the cause if my uneasy feelings.

Looking at him, I wondered what he had that made me feel this way, until I froze as he began opening his eyes. Flushed, he turned to meet my gaze and our eyes met. It felt a different a bank inside my heart had broken down as his single glance caused me to open up whether I wanted to or not.

"Miss… ghost. "

His words, though only two, spoke apart time and space as they made my heart flutter violently as if he bad just done the impossible before my eyes. Nodding hesitantly, I was suddenly started by his gaze when he creased his brows and said I was not his ghost.

"N-no… I'm not… I-"

Frozen and fascinated in how he was able to tell the two of us apart, he then continued.

"It makes more sense now that I think about it…"

"What… what makes sense? "

"You… You are her but, at the same time, you aren't. "

"Who? "

"Mistela… my one and only ghost. "

"My name is Mistel de'la Rose… I have recently inherited my father's fortune after receiving my mother's will… What I want to know is, how long have I… been in your care? "

Patiently waiting as his gaze grew cold and soft, it made emergency tremble as if I felt broken inside.

"You just…she appeared one day, as my maid… she had not eater in weeks or days, I'm not sure… from what I gathered, ghost was a sweet and innocent and beautiful woman. We often spoke about frivolous things. "

"Might I ask, what happened to you? "

Raising his hand to his head, he smiled and closed his eyes softly as he told me it was an accident.

"Oh… well, I wanted to cinema by and check up on you as well as thank you for taking care off… sorry. "

Lowering my gaze as his sad expression mad emerald feel bitter.

Standing up to head off and leave, I suddenly felt a light reach deep into my heart and pulled out the other me who had erupted from inside. Seeing all the memories of what happened, I was appalled and at the same time, relieved to see everything she went through. Before I knew it, I had lost control as I turned to find his hand, holding my arm with approval the force he could muster as if in letting me go, would be worse than him losing his life.

"Even if you aren't her… she's still inside you, you both are the same side of a coin… I accept all that you two are and love you with all that I have. "

Gasping for air, his sudden proclamation sent my heart fluttering in a familiar tone as he pulled me to his side as our eyes met closer than ever before.

"But… I'm not-"

Kissing me with all his heart, I felt the warmth of his love, burn intently within my body as I felt a taste of what Mistela… no, she was here, beside me, sharing in the same kiss. In that moment, we both had became on, the three of us, had become one sole entity as we embraced in concert.

When I opened my eyes, I recognized his gaze, I remembered the mansion and as well a smy inheritance. I remembered it all as I was whole.

"Mistela… its great to see you again miss ghost. "

Feeling the tears streaming down my face, I wondered what had caused me and Mistela to become one until it was apparent when he held my shoulder in his arms.

"I'm never letting either of you go… even if god himself should stand against me, I'll fight with alone my might just so I can have all of you. "

Staring at him with glistening eyes as the more he spoke, the hotter my body burned for his touch. Gently leaning towards him, I softly kissed him and initiated the kiss as he held me closer and tighter into his arms.

~

Standing, I tilted my head while smiling and biting my lips as my body trembled with excitement. Wanting him badly and forever, I forced myself to part as staying any longer was bad for his health, let alone, mine as well.

Leaving, he then turned me around as he stood up from the bed and gently kissed me from behind d as he whispered what my body yearned for in my ear.

As the door opened and the nurse came in, she took him back to bed as I walked out. Heading home to my mansion, my chest was still beating with exitment. After a long bath, I still felt warm as my skin brushed up against the many soft blankets. The only thing other than Fill in my head, was whether I was still me… or more like her.

Keeping awake as his words still rang softly and soundly in my ears, I blushed. Burning my head beside my pillow, I wondered, what I was going to do once we met again.

~

~

Opening my eyes, I gently woke to a sunrise in front of the small, little pond. With the wind blowing cool air through my hair, I looked around and wondered where I was. Turning my gaze, I wondered what happened to my nightdress and faced the mansion as the maids were starting their cleaning routine.

"A dream… "

Looking down as I wrapped myself in the warm, fur blanket one of the maids must had out on me, I shifted my posture and relaxed against the stone rock. Staring into the pond, I began to wonder whether my dreams were real or normal. The last two nights I had properly dreamed, it all felt very real.

Thinking if I was slowing my mind, I came back to the realization that the small, little pond was what tied both dreams to this mansion. Speaking to knew of the passing maids, I asked where the young Master was and she responded he was with his mother.

Lowering my head as I asked her where they were, she then took me to them where I saw him smiling with his mother.

"Mistela… "

Standing up as he took me outside as his mother turned to drink her tea, he closed the door and spoke to me.

"What is going on? What's wrong? "

"Your mother… is she, treating you well? "

"Of course… wait, how did you know she was my mother? "

Before I could speak, I quickly understood the situation. Nodding and apologizing for my intrusion, I headed back to my room when he stopped dme and asked if I was okay. Turning to meet his worried gaze, I lightly touched his cheek with my hand and closed my eyes.

"I'm fine… just a little tired. "

Turning balcony as his mother asked for him, I left for my room while wrapping my head around my strange dreams and what they meant.

Stopping in front of my room, I turned to look at the little garden while closing my eyes and heading into my bed where I fell asleep for the rest of the night. It was then that I recalled the soft beating in my chest that I wondered… if I was still dreaming.
