3 Soul Bonded

Rushing into the woods as faster than I ever have before. Tripping over rocks, tree roots, and plants to reach my destination.

A rushing river was heard in the distance right where the beast in my dreams had said it was going to be. Could that dream have been real? My whole core was shaken at the thought. Forcing myself to run faster I arrived at the river in about 10 minutes.

Grabbing a normal tree and tearing off it's branches I built a small fire. Once the fire was large enough and reached 3 feet into the air did I stop adding more wood to the fire.

Raking the Metal Wood nail across my wrist, and biting my lip hard enough to draw blood did I realize that this was so foolish. This could very well kill me, but still something inside me that I had never felt before was driving me to follow the order of the beast.

Bringing my wrist over the fire so that the blood could drip into it. Until I felt that I would pass out did something finally start to happen. My blood started to turn into a silver the, same as my hair and eyes, start to take shape.

The now silver blood was taking shape and my sudden dizziness due to the blood loss was forgotten.

A solid and thick body with four muscled legs and a large tail with spike that grew out. That was not the strangest thing that was taking form though, it was the two leathery wings that were attached to it's back.

Suddenly it jumped out of the fire and pushed it's forehead onto my own. Marking me as it's own.

It burned like hell and the pain brought back up everything that had happened over the last few minutes. The run, the blood loss, and now the extreme pain was enough to finally allow me to pass out, and I welcomed the blackness that swept over me in a wave.

When I woke up it was now morning, but something heavy was on my chest and it was difficult to breath. Looking at it I thought that it looked somewhat like the outline of the beast in my dream, but much smaller.

A headache made me raise my hand to me forehead only to find out that there was a smooth gem that wasn't there before was. Was this the marking?

Every soul pair had a mark it could be in any size, shape, color, or place. Mine just happened to be on my brow where it was painfully obvious that I finally had my soul bonded.

The creature on my chest stirred at my movement and turned it head to look at me. Intelligent eyes stared back at me. Beautiful and large they fit perfectly in the silver scaled head that felt as if it was going to crush me from the sheer size and weight.

Suddenly it hit me. My soul bonded was a dragon.

An invisible rope seemed to connect to me and the scrambled emotions that poured out of the creature crashed into me. The first thing was that it seemed annoyed. Annoyed at the fact that I was calling it 'It'. I found out that it was a she and the perfect name came to me. Moonstone. Just like the jewel that she looked like.

And the next was that it was starving. It jumped off me onto clumsy legs that were wobbling beneath the weight of herself. A rustle sounded from a bush nearby as a graceless little Moonstone jumped at it.

She pulled out a bunny and gulped it up quickly. It wasn't enough for her never-ending apatite, and she jumped to get more.

A smile played on my lips at the sight. Then I was struck dumb as I realized that the last I smiled was years ago when I was 13 years old.

Sighing I dragged my exhausted and sore body off the ground and picked up Moonstone once again surprised at how much she weighed. She gave out a screech of protest at the fact that a little bird that she was chasing had escaped.

Walking out of the forest people gaped at me as they saw the Mark on my brow and the dragon in my arms.

Mythical creatures were rare beyond belief and a dragon was considered as the king or queen of all mythical creatures.

I ignored the flabbergasted stares as I walked like the dead to my house and collapsed onto my makeshift bed.

---------------

While the newly soul bonded pair were sleeping quietly, a counsel was being held.

"Many of our clans people said that they clearly saw Ivory carry a dragon out of the wood with a mark on her head!" said a thin and young female elder, Elder Ash. Elder Ash was only in her 30's but due to the fact that she was able to burn anything into ash in seconds put her in a position of power. That and she was a soul bonded to a phoenix.

"Yes, but what happens now? Ivory must hate us for shunning her, and now that she had the King of all mythical creatures what happens if she chooses to get revenge for the injustice?" Said an old man with a light grey beard and pale skin. This was Elder Captain. He was the leader of the Warrior Clan's underwater attack force. He was soul bonded to a giant shark that the elder had worked on advancing his size more that anything else. Because of that the shark was over 100 feet long and was a tank in the water.

"I agree, but if I can act like a mother figure to her now then maybe in a few years her anger would disappear or at least soften." It was an old woman who was Elder Fly. She had great control of the air element and was the leader of the Warrior Clan fighting division. She was bonded to a Griffin and had two grandson that were also bonded to Griffins and were thought to inherit Elder Wind's position as Elder when she passes away.

There were many other elders that were talking fast, but quieted when they realize that the clan leader, Chief Slaughter, was silent.
