5 Little Lily in the meeting room part 1

"Sir, Miss Monica called. She asked if she could step by today." Simon assistant informed him,

Simon's grip on the pen tightened the second he heard that woman's name.  Mentioning that her name is enough to ruin his day.

"Tell her she can't." Simon replied, closing the fire between his hands.

Today is a very busy day, and he is not ready for her nonsense.

"Yes, sir." The assistant left the office leaving behind a very angry Simon.

Taking a deep breath, Simon's eyes fell on the picture frame of his daughter and immediately felt all the anger that was building inside of him disappeared.

Lily is the only person who can make him smile in his darkest moments.

He still remembers the first time he held her in his hands like it was yesterday. She was so tiny and so pink, and he still remembers how happy he felt when she held his finger with her tiny hand.

Simon had to become the father and mother figure for Lily, or at least that's what he tried to do. He always made sure that Lily received all the love and care a child should feel.

Looking at time, Simon picked up his coat and stood up, heading towards the door. Lily had asked him to pick her personally, she said that she had a surprise for him and that he was curious to know what her surprise was.

"Daddy." Little Lily ran towards her father, her tiny feet trying to run as fast as she could, excited to show him the drawing.

"Hey." Simon hugged the running bundle of joy."What's that in your hand?" He asked, pulling away.

"It's for you. I drew a picture of you and me." Little Lily said, showing him the drawing.

Simon took the drawing from her hands and took a closer look at it, and immediately noticed the missing element.

A mother drawing.

Simon grip tightened around the paper but showed no fecal expectations of anger or sadness.

"It's beautiful. Let's hang it in the kitchen when we reach home." Simon said and picked her up in his arms and walked towards the car.

Walking towards the meeting, Lara tugged her hair behind her ears. She could hear the employees chatting voices, a sign that the boss isn't in the meeting room yet.

Entering the room, Lara looked for an empty chair and noticed that all the chairs were taken except for the two chairs on either side of the CEO chair.

That's weird, Lara thought to herself.

Taking the seat on the left, Lara put her notebook and the pen on the table.

Lara suddenly felt everyone's eyes on her, and she looked at him, noticing the surprised look on their faces.

"Excuse me, is there something on my face?" Lara asked, seeing how all of the employees were looking in her direction.

But before anyone could explain, the CEO entered the room, and everyone stood up, including Lara. The room turned silent in the presence of Simon Hart. Handsome-bewitching man.

Lara felt her breath being taken away just by looking at him.

"Sit." Simon said, and everyone did.

Lara opened her notebook, trying not to look at Simon but unconsciously did and immediately looked away.

Lara cursed herself for behaving like a teenager, but it was hard not to look at him and she wasn't the only one who was stealing glances, all the female employees were looking at him and she couldn't blame them.

During the meeting, Simon glanced at the new employee who was sitting on the left side of him. He noticed how focused she was and wrote down notes. Her serious face looked adorable, and he held back a smile.

The meeting was long and detailed, mostly for the fashion department and about the new collection, and the only one who wasn't bothered by it was Lara.

Everyone was focused on the meeting, suddenly the door to the meeting room burst open and a little energy ball entered the room.

"Daddy." Little Lily cried out running towards her father.

Her face was red and covered with tears. Simon immediately stopped up catching the little girl in his arms, and she immediately started sobbing.

"Shhh, Daddy is here." Simon whispered in Lily's ear as he rubbed her back soothingly.

Like everyone, Lara wanted to know what was going on. But what happened wasn't expected.

Little Lily turned her face and suddenly called Lara name.

"Aunty Lara." The little girl wiggled from her Simon arms and walked towards Lara, including Simon too.

Everyone watched with wide eyes little Lily being held tenderly by the new employee as if they were familiar with each other.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Lara asked the little girl gently.

Little Lily hugged Lara tightly and didn't respond. Lara understood that the little girl was feeling insecure right now. Maybe she had a scary dream, or maybe something happened, or it's because everyone has eyes on them. Everyone is staring as if something unbelievable is happening.

Lara wished that she could plug out their eyes, but, unfortunately, she couldn't.

"Everyone leave the room, The meeting is over." Simon ordered, and immediately the room was empty within less than two minutes.

Suddenly, Lara was speechless and scared at the same time.

Watching Simon closing the meeting room door, Lara's heart started to beat faster, but she tried to stay calm. She saw him remove his suit jacket and undo the first two buttons of his shirt and lose his necktie before he took a seat beside her, and she didn't dare to look at him.

"Aunty, are you going to play with me today?" Lily's sweet voice broke the awkward silence as she lifted her head, looking at her with her beautiful blue eyes.

Simon's eyes shifted from his daughter to the woman who was holding her, waiting for her reply.

"Yes, if only your father would allow it." Lara replied, turning to look at Simon, trying to appear composed, but it was hard not to drool over his God-like face.

"Only in my office and only every Friday so you won't neglect your studies." Simon replied, reaching to remove the hair that was covering Lily's eyes, fully aware of Lara's eyes on the opening of his shirt.
