Whose Taking Advantage Of Who

I look at him with disbelief but quickly try to correct myself. He's hurt and probably still in shock... probably but I can't help but start thinking I've made a mistake in bringing him to my place. Instead of putting his shirt back on he leaves it on the table and stands up.

My frown grows when I see him moving with ease and my heart starts to waver. Why do I feel like a kitten bringing home a tiger? As he stands to his full height, I'm once again shocked by how built he is... I look to his other arm and find that it is full of black tattoos.

I look back to his chest before my eyes flash back to his but he's looking around my place so I secretly check him out. I watch him slowly walk over to the Koi's but I keep a safe distance. He jerks his head as the automatic watering system kicks on and I grin as I lean against my sink.

He looks back to me with raised eyebrows but I only say "Are you done now? Call someone to come get you." He grins "You have a nice place here... How many bedrooms?" My frown is back and I say "It has one... call someone or do you need me to drive you somewhere?"

I look at her leaning against the kitchen sink and I give her a small smile. She's so quick to throw up walls and put distance between her and others not allowing them the chance to get close. Probably the reason she's been solo for so long...but that was fine. If she won't give me a chance I'll just make myself one.

"So it's just you here?" I ask as I look back to the large Koi in the even larger tank. I've been around the building several times but I never saw a door. Who would have thought... maybe I should stop trying to approach this as I would with others... she's clearly different.

The reports I've come up with are completely blank... it's as if she doesn't exist but I know she's a hacker and can make all of that disappear if she wanted to. So the only way to know about her is to see it myself or hear it straight from her.

"She's not alone! She has me!" A young male voice is suddenly heard as a computer image pops up on the glass of the fish tank and I give it a surprised look. I look back to Maya to see her hanging her head and I turn back to the image and say "And you are?"

"My name is Chip." He says and I find myself smiling. Was this someone who helped her? He sounds kind of young... "My name is .." I'm cut off as he says "I know exactly who you are. You are a dangerous person and I don't trust you around my master. Her heart is always increasing around you and now she was even shot at!"

The little image is now showing me a very unhappy face but I'm stuck on what he just said... Master. I look back at her but she's already walking over here "Enough Chip! I didn't say you could reveal yourself and don't give him personal information! Go to sleep!"

Chip makes a pouty face before he disappears and I'm left in shock. I look back to her and see her glaring at me with her arms crossed. Chip was a computer? I look behind me at all the computer screens and I'm left in awe. "You created him?" Her glare intensifies as she says "Leave!"

I put my hands up while smiling "Okay, okay I won't ask. If you don't want to talk about that we can talk about your heart rate always increasing around me." She now looks like she wants to kill me and I can't stop myself from laughing. She has no idea how much she affects me and how cute she looks glaring at me like that.

This woman has as many secrets as I do... at this rate, Pandora will definitely be opened. I begin walking over to her and watch her glare falter. She tries to step back but I'm faster. I grab her waist and pull her close. I lean down and say "I think you and I need to have a heart to heart." I watch as she goes to push me away but stops short when she sees my bare chest.

My smile grows at her hesitation and I lean in closer but stop when I notice her looking at the tattoo on my shoulder. She looks as if she recognizes something as she turns to stone. I lean back allowing her to get a better look and wait. Did she recognize it? I look to her grey eyes in anticipation.
