Chapter 10

Right next to the Academy building , the red Hokage building was located. Hokage's office was located on the second floor.

Hiroki greeted the Akimichi guard outside and entered the building without trouble. He did not active his sensor jutsu because then only trouble will follow. Still he could sense many hidden presences in his passive sensory range.

Well it was not that surprising because there must be many important stuff safeguarded inside the Hokage building.

One the second floor , Hiroki met with Hokage's personal secretary which turned out to be a young lady called Honoka. She was really the serious type lady and spoke only few necessary words.

Hiroki told her about the summons and sat on the table right next to the door to Hokage's office. The atmosphere was quiet which was fine with Hiroki because his mind was currently tired.

After waiting for three minutes , Honoka told Hiroki that Hokage was ready to meet him.

After knocking thrice on the wooden door , Hiroki went inside and was greeted by the sight of middle aged Hiruzen Sarutobi seated at his desk surrounded with huge piles of paperwork.

" Greetings Hokage sama ! " Hiroki said politely and knelt on one knee.

' Tsk... why doesn't this old man use shadow clones to swifty complete the work ? '

" Ah.. you came Futaba Hiroki kun " Hiroki was brought out of his thoughts before he could ponder about the doubt properly.

Hiroki took another look at the vigorous profile of Hiruzen and immediately got rid of the image he had seen in the anime.

In the anime , Hiruzen was portrayed as a old man on death's door but the present one was full of health. The iconic triangular Hokage hat was not present but the long red and white robe was there.

Hiroki could feel the sheer presence of Hokage in person which screamed of authority and strength. Thus he was feeling a little overwhelmed. Right now Hiruzen wasn't even trying to intimidate him so Hiroki could not even imagine the horror if Hiruzen tried to intimidate him.

" Hiroki kun , it has come to my notice that your academy scores and real strength are a lot different. I was really surprised when your jonin sensei came to me and reported about your strength. "

' Eh.. this old man is talking to me so frankly ! ' Hiroki was surprised inwardly by the easy tone of Hiruzen which was unlikely for someone of his position.

But the good thing was that due to this , Hiroki was now at ease and the previous pressure dissapeared.

" Hiroki kun dont worry . I'm not blaming you or anything. In fact Im happy that we have another good talent in the young generation. "

" Thank you Hokage sama ! " Hiroki gave a small bow but inwardly he had no ounce of sincerity.

The reason was simple. Now Hiroki had basically confirmed that Hiruzen was not the kind man but a sly old fox. After all he could have won over anybody except himself with the precious display of words.

Sorry for Hiruzen but Hiroki was a transmigrator and such tactics could not work on him.

After that for next ten or so minutes , Hiruzen only talked about simple stuff like How is your new team or whatever and then let Hiroki off.

" Please excuse me Hokage sama ! " Hiroki have the last bow and unhurriedly went outside the Hokage office.

' This old man is really a manipulative one but it's not that bad. After all , all I have to do is properly follow his instructions and then he wont pester me. ' Hiroki assessed Hiruzen this way.

Outside the sun was at its peak and it was time for training once again. Thus Hiroki's mood once again plummeted because his mind was still tired.

' Sigh.. that damn old man !! Why did he call me for just having small talk ? I missed my afternoon nap because of him... '

Hiroki cursed Hokage many times ineardly but he did not stop walking towards the training ground because he had no choice in this matter anyway ..
