Lin Taiyi & Zi Peng

"There are 6 stadiums, each one containing 100 contestants. The only rules are no killing and the last man standing wins!" An elder said quietly, but by using a voice amplification technique his voice reached everyone's ears.

"Why are Inner Disciples even allowed to participate in this battle? There's virtually no benefits..." Xu Yongzheng asked Yao Yan, hoping she would have an answer.

"Those two are entering the competition just to solidify their status. They plan on getting rid of the last person standing and come out on top, I've seen it before. Actually, they're not allowed to participate but they probably pulled some strings..." Yao Yan responded.

The two already registered for the competition and it was now starting. Everyone ascended onto the 6 stadiums and some cultivated to pass the time, though it was useless as the competition started immediately.

The ones who were arrogant enough to cultivate on the stadium were ganged up on and kicked out immediately!

"D-Damn! I'm glad I didn't sit down like those idiots!" Xu Yongzheng said as he watched his surroundings. He knew Yao Yan went to a different stadium than him so he was nervous.

No teammates in a full-on brawl like this?

Xu Yongzheng felt like a small balloon trying to go through a room full of incredibly sharp spikes!

Spirit Qi of all types rained down across the stadium and large craters were found everywhere.

Not to mention an incredible amount of people were injured immediately after the competition started. Xu Yongzheng felt the presence of strong Spirit Qi from behind him and turned around in a flash.

He looked and saw no other than the dark-skinned man with giant muscles, Lin Taiyi!

Lin Taiyi was practically destroying the battlefield and became a sort of menace on the stadium. Everyone was trying to put their efforts together and stop him from wiping them out.

"Argh!"

"Damn that Lin Taiyi! When did he breakthrough?!"

"R-Run! I wanted to do good in this competition! Damn, now everything is ruined!"

People were flying in all directions like pebbles flying from slingshots. If a random person saw this sight, it would be amusing.

In the midst of all the chaos, the familiar skinny figure of a man appeared from within the crowd of contestants. He rushed out with great speed and intercepted Lin Taiyi, despite his body looking frail.

"Lin Taiyi! Don't bully the weak and pathetic hahaha! Fight me, Zi Peng, instead!" Zi Peng said as he attacked Lin Taiyi multiple times.

Lin Taiyi showed an annoyed look as he disregarded the weak contestants and instantly put his focus on Zi Peng.

Despite having a frail-looking frame, Zi Peng was not to be underestimated. He contained both immense speed and strength, and just that alone made him a troublesome opponent.

Coupled with his snake-related techniques, it was unclear who would win in this fight. If not careful, Zi Peng could restrict Lin Taiyi's body within moments, winning the match easily.

The weak disciples/contestants were hoping for mutual destruction during the fight so that they'd have some sort of a chance.

Sadly, there were still dozens of strong individuals within the competition so these two weren't the focus of everyone.

"What are you doing, being distracted in this sort of environment?" A soothing voice appeared within Xu Yongzheng's ears, causing him to jump back and be alert.

He looked around him, yet he found no one.

Xu Yongzheng watched his surroundings closely before running into a crowd of contestants. Whoever dared to get so close to him and vanish before he could discover them was definitely not a regular disciple.

"I shouldn't have let my guard down...I'm too foolish!" Xu Yongzheng reprimanded himself. If he wanted the least bit of a chance at winning this competition, he had to remain on guard and careful.

"Die for me!" The voice of a random disciple burst out of nowhere as an icy fist covered in Spirit Qi rushed towards Xu Yongzheng's face.

Xu Yongzheng sensed the strength of the person and his Spirit Qi and noticed he was still in the Foundation Building realm.

"You should have done your research on who not to mess with!" Xu Yongzheng shouted as he brought of his wooden sword, activating the Raging Waters technique instantly and slashing.

The sword turned into a formless body of water that stretched forward without stopping as if someone grabbed a river and forcefully swung it around.

It rushed at the weak disciple, piercing through his Spirit Qi fist and attacking him with immense strength. Xu Yongzheng came up with a brilliant idea in the midst of this and transformed the entire body of water to restrain the disciple.

He used controlled the water and threw the disciple out of the stadium in one go.

A few other disciples saw this exchange in fear, yet they rushed at Xu Yongzheng, unleashing all of their flashy techniques.

Tyrannical Fist! Memorial Ice Wave! Thunderous Electricity of Despair!

Three different techniques of the foundation building level assaulted Xu Yongzheng, but he blocked them all with his Raging Waters Technique.

The disciples found this insulting except for one who was strangely smiling.

As Xu Yongzheng repelled the attacks with his technique, he seemed to have forgotten that water was a conductor of electricity. The electricity of the last attack seemed to have run up the waves of water like it was alive and attacked Xu Yongzheng.

"D-Damnit, I forgot! Now you're dead!" Xu Yongzheng said, half blaming himself for his foolishness again. He was slowly becoming frustrated and angry as multiple problems made themselves known when he fought.

"Raging Waters Technique, Mystic Mist Technique!" He yelled.

After thinking about it, Xu Yongzheng came up with an idea the day before the competition. He managed to fuse both techniques to gather, giving the raging waters the option to turn into mist or incorporate multiple attacks into the water.

This was his first time actually testing his 'experiment' for real, and so far, he was happy with the results.

The blade turned into water and the moment it touched the three disciples, they were hit with more than 10 attacks at once. Xu Yongzheng quickly threw them out of the stadium.
