1 C-Class Spirit: Dormant Life Mind Spirit!

Somewhere, amongst the countless planets in the universe, on a particular planet riddled with mystery laid a near-talentless young man covered in his own blood. Xu Yongzheng, a 17-year-old young man belonging to the Azure Sword Sect was slowly bleeding out on the dueling stage. He had courted the crush of an Inner Disciple and paid heavily for it.

Since he was but an Outer Disciple, and one without much talent nonetheless, the elders of the sect turned a blind eye to the corrupt doings of the Inner Disciple. Xu Yongzheng was enraged by this injustice but he was too powerless to stand up to it. The only thing he could do was helplessly bleed out as a crowd of disciples laughed at him.

"This...isn't fair..." Xu Yongzheng fainted from excessive blood loss and went into a deep sleep.

As Xu Yongzheng was asleep, he watched in his consciousness as his memories quickly passed him by. From birth till now, death. But suddenly, amidst all of this, Xu Yongzheng heard a robotic voice speak to him within his own consciousness.

"Bzzt. The owner's body is in critical condition, Sign-In System has awoken."

"Am I having delusions as I'm dying or something..." Xu Yongzheng thought to himself as he didn't pay any attention to the weird voice in his head. He quickly labeled it as meaningless delusions and continued watching his precious memories with his family pass him by.

It took all his family's resources, which weren't much, to just barely get Xu Yongzheng into the Azure Sword Sect as an Outer Disciple. The sad part was that he was only in the sect for 2 months, making him extremely disappointed in himself and regretful. If he knew he would end up dying so quickly, he wouldn't have asked his mother to sacrifice so much to get him into the sect.

"Damnit!" He yelled within his head.

"Bzzt. Do you wish to sign in now?" The robotic voice said.

Xu Yongzheng calmed himself down slowly as he could already fill his Spirit Qi quickly draining from his body and his skin becoming cold. He took a deep breath and replied to the mysterious voice in his head.

"What are you and how do I sign in...?" Although Xu Yongzheng previously labeled the voice in his head as a delusion, if it wasn't then it would probably be his only way out of this mess. He couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed for asking a strange voice that he doesn't know the origin of for help.

"Bzzt. The owner needs to say 'sign in' to sign in. The owner can sign in once a day or once more at special places in the world." The robotic voice quickly replied. Zu Yongzheng carefully listened to the words of the voice felt greatly intrigued. Since he was but a minute away from dying, he didn't waste any time thinking.

"Sign in?" He said, half questioning his own words.

"Bzzt. Congratulations, the owner has obtained a C-Class: Dormant Life Mind Spirit! Say 'claim' to claim your items."

Xu Yongzheng felt strangely amused as he listened to the robotic voice.

"Claim." As soon as he said this, Xu Yongzheng felt a sudden burst of Spirit Qi emerge from within his mind. Quickly, he noticed a presence within his consciousness that gave off strong vitality signals. As this happened, his pupils contracted out of shock.

'I-Is something actually happening? Is what the voice said being created? A Dormant Life Mind Spirit?' Dozens of questions rampaged Xu Yongzheng's head as he looked in awe at the bright green cluster of Spirit Qi swirling around itself in front of him.

After a while, the cluster of Spirit Qi abruptly solidified into the shape of a green heart with sparkles around it. Faint strands of Spirit Qi could be seen flowing around it like rings around planets. As this happened, Xu Yongzheng felt the Spirit Qi in his body quickly being replenished.

"What work of the deities is this?!" Xu Yongzheng was completely mindblown at what exactly just happened. He heard a voice, talked back to it, and now he's saved from death?! Xu Yongzheng let out a shout of happiness and a hint of anger.

"YEEESSS! With this second chance of mine, I'll hunt down that Inner Disciple and get my revenge! Though, I don't know his name..." After witnessing the voice in his head save him from imminent death, Xu Yongzheng could confidently plan his revenge.

Xu Yongzheng wasn't a vengeful person, nor rowdy and he hardly ever messed with anyone. The few times he did was if he was wronged, though he would forgive them afterward depending on the situation. But what happened today? It was beyond unforgivable, Xu Yongzheng was bound to have a grudge against that Inner Disciple and Elder of the sect.

"Sigh...Thank god it wasn't a dream..." Xu Yongzheng said as he slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He was still lying in his own blood and his clothes were still ragged and utterly destroyed, but he was back in tip-top condition. He found it unnatural even after the whole situation in his head so he tried to sense his vital signs and was surprised.

His vital signs were at their peak, even higher and stronger than before! Xu Yongzheng couldn't help but suspiciously grin as he slowly got up from the blood-drenched ground. He glared at all the people that claimed to be his brothers and sister, they were all in shock as they were surprised he didn't die.

He noticed earlier that they were a part of the crowd and laughed at him as he was dying. Xu Yongzheng ultimately felt betrayed and would repay them in kind. He clenched his fist before quickly walking off the platform and heading to his sect-assigned room.

When he got to his room, he took off his ragged clothes and immediately began absorbing and internalizing Spirit Qi. The fastest way to get his revenge was by getting stronger after all.
