5 Accomplishing an Impossible Goal!

Two days had passed and Xu Yongzheng spent both of them learning to manipulate the physical properties of his body. Since his body was completely rebuilt thanks to his constitution awakening, and could become literal water, he was determined to gain full control over this advantage.

While cultivating, he focused on how his body turned into water, which was easier said than done as he couldn't grasp anything on it in the first half of the first day. Near the end of the first day, Xu Yongzheng finally understood that his body was made up of 'Water Essence' and only took the form of his previous appearance.

Discovering this, he slowly learned how to manipulate his body by using Spirit Qi and covering his entire body in it. Since his body was water, when he used a ton of effort and Spirit Qi, it slowly took on different forms. Though it took incredible effort and an abundant amount of Spirit Qi, Xu Yongzheng managed to change the form of his hand thanks to the Qi Perserving Orb.

The form of his hand that the Water Essence took slowly crumbled until it was but a body of clear and clean water attached to the rest of his body. It seems like the 'Water Essence' that made up his body was more than just water. It took on the physical properties of his body and completely copying the functions of his organs, etc.

Because of this, Xu Yongzheng had to use a ton of Spirit Qi to gain control over his body and remove the copied physical properties of the water essence. Although, if he focused on covered a specific spot on his body, it would be much easier, but still requires a little effort. He played around with his body for the entire second day until he could finally change his hand into something akin to a blade.

Though he couldn't give it any physical properties besides solidifying it like the rest of his body, it was good enough for now.

"Haaa...It only took two days to grasp the fundamentals of this body? Is it thanks to the Body of Nagara's awakening that I can comprehend it so easily?" He knew for a fact that he wasn't capable of comprehending any type of water-related elements and whatnot so this was the only answer.

Xu Yongzheng looked at the pillars and began cultivating. His goal was to reach two minutes under the pressure of the pillars and then he would focus solely on cultivating for the rest of the week.

"Bzzt. Does the Owner wish to sign in?"

"Sign in."

"Bzzt. Congratulations! The owner obtained E-Class Item: Qi Absorption Pill!"

"Meh..."

Another day passed and Xu Yongzheng finally reached the 4th Stage of the Foundation Building Realm. He just broke through so he continued cultivating to stabilize his realm unlike back when he shoved pills down his throat even after breaking through.

Xu Yongzheng spent a few hours stabilizing his cultivation base and finally went to test the pillar's pressure again. Doing this was both good and bad, like a double-edged sword. Whenever he challenged the pressure, his body would grow stronger and firmer, but that would also make it harder for him to manipulate his body.

He didn't worry about this problem for the time being and instead focused on reaching his goal. Xu Yongzheng already planned to balance his time between cultivating, challenging the pressure, and manipulating his body so that neither gets better than the other.

"Alright, here we go, I'm sure I'll be able to withstand the pressure for two minutes this time!" He said confidently as he walked through into the domain of the pillars. The pressure immediately fell on him but Xu Yongzheng confidently kept his composure as he reinforced his body with Spirit Qi.

He also made sure to refill the Qi Preserving Orb before starting.

"A minute has passed...You got this!" Xu Yongzheng didn't want to become too confident and end up underestimating the pressure so he stayed quiet and focused on the use of his Spirit Qi and body. In the midst of all this, he wondered what would happen if he manipulated his body under this pressure.

He might be squished, but that thought never came into his head.

"Haa...1 minute and 30 seconds..."

"1 minute and 40..."

"A minute and 50...!"

Xu Yongzheng's body was nearly at its limit despite the aid of the Mind Spirit and the Qi Preserving Orb.

"Haaaa! 2 minutes! Go go go!" As soon as he lasted for two minutes, Xu Yongzheng rushed out of the domain of the pillars and lied on the ground, heavily breathing. If it wasn't for the aid of his Mind Spirit and Qi Preserving Orb, Xu Yongzheng doubted he'd be able to last even 1 minute and 30 seconds under the pressure.

The pressure during the last 30 seconds seemed to be strangely getting heavier and stronger so it became increasingly harder for Xu Yongzheng to withstand it. Nonetheless, withstanding the terrifying pressure for two minutes despite being in the Foundation Building Realm, and only the 4th stage at that was certainly an achievement.

If an Outer Disciple of the Azure Sword Sect heard what Xu Yongzheng did, they'd probably pass out from fear. The pressure beyond the pillars was by no means easy to withstand, but because of Xu Yongzheng's unnatural power despite his cultivation base and other external aids, he withstood it.

He laid on the ground for 10 minutes as he felt his muscles and bones ache despite them being made completely of water essence. Despite the pain, Xu Yongzheng was happily smiling as a great sense of achievement and accomplishment washed over him completely.

It no doubt felt good to accomplish a goal you set for yourself! Just a few days ago, Xu Yongzheng would have passed out at the idea of lasting under such terrifying pressure for even a single minute, but look at him now!

Xu Yongzheng wasted no time and immediately began cultivating after this... He was in a good mood!
