16 Chapter 16: Training with Nyx (2)

Without waiting for Nyx to be ready, Perseus charged at Nyx.

Aiming at her neck,Perseus swung the one handed long sword horizontally at Nyx.

Nyx used the spear hilt and deflected Perseus's attack. The swing of the longsword created a gust of wind, but despite all that strength, the spear didn't even move when receiving the attack.

Closing the distance, she threw a punch at Perseus' face. Anticipating the dodge, she then repositioned herself, aiming the tip of the spear at Perseus' crotch before stabbing out.

"Lots of useless moves; try to simplify more. You have talent in the sword, but…"

Perseus could only retreat under such intense attacks. He did not have any chance to retaliate. He also needed to dodge the random kicks and punches coming at him.

If even one managed to hit him, the fight would be as good as over.

A man and a goddess exchanged moves at high speeds. If it were an average man, he most likely would not be able to make a single move.

Without even knowing he would already have a gaping hole in his chest.

Perseus had been dodging for a whole seven or eight seconds now.

Giving up on defending, Perseus abruptly slashed the Abyssal Blade mid-battle.

Chop!

A silver light dug itself through a gap in Nyx's attack, breaking her momentum and causing her to retreat slightly.

A/N: Perseus swung his blade so quickly that only a silver light could be seen

However, Perseus also received damage and took three steps backward before stabilising his body.

'It worked. It seems like my Strength is just barely enough.' Perseus was very satisfied with the attack this time.

Nyx's momentary pause had caused her to reveal an opening.

Perseus rushed in without hesitation. Gathering all his strength into his hand, Perseus gripped the longsword tightly and continuously struck at Nyx without regard for defence at all.

His eyes turned blood red and it looked like he was in berserk.

Four streaks of sword light hit the Nyx, but was deflected by an invisible mana shield.

Nyx countered with a short thrust.

Dazzling sparks were created when the spear and sword intersected with each other. Perseus's entire person was sent flying away.

When Perseus was still in midair, he saw the Nyx leaping into the air with her spear aimed at his heart, the spear raised high for a frontal assault.

'F*CK' Perseus was shocked, but was unable to do anything.

Parry!

The Abyssal Blade blocked the spear. However, Perseus was like a meteorite as he fell heavily to the ground.

Perseus had thought that Nyx's attack was over. However, he saw the tip of a spear plunging downwards as well, with Perseus's chest as its target.

Perseus was unable to move to dodge the attack and could only hurriedly surrender.

With the tip of the spear touching his neck, Perseus breathed a sigh of relief.

"Husband.. You're not bad… I guess I didn't make the wrong decision marrying you. Hehe."

Nyx said coquettishly.

"Come on get up already, it's time for breakfast."
