84 Chapter 83.

Xiao Wu also opened her eyes, her gaze also fixed on the intense beam of light in the distance.

"Da Ming, Er Ming, what's going on?" Xiao Wu inquired, her confusion evident.

"A very terrifying aura is being released from that direction." Da Ming whispered to his companion.

"Terrifying aura?" Xiao Wu was taken aback. It was unusual for such words to come from Da Ming's mouth.

"How do you feel?" the Sky Azure Bull Python asked the Titan Giant Ape.

"I feel the same way." the Titan Great Ape replied.

Xiao Wu looked at the brilliant beam of light and wondered aloud, "Has the Star Dou Great Forest ever witnessed something like this before?"

The two rulers of the Star Dou Great Forest exchanged glances and shook their heads.

"We have never encountered an aura like this... It's as if... it can rend the very fabric of the world... The power may not be strong right now, but this aura instinctively fills us with fear." Da Ming whispered.

"It doesn't resemble the power of a soul beast, nor does it resemble the power of a human soul master power... For now, it's best to stay put."

Xiao Wu nodded, her thoughts filled with questions. What kind of power was this? Why did both Da Ming and Er Ming feel an instinctive fear?

Meanwhile, Sword Douluo and his group, who had been moving swiftly through the forest, abruptly halted.

"Stop!" Sword Douluo shouted forcefully, bringing their advance to a halt.

He fixed his gaze on the distant beam of light, the soul rings on his body pulsing with trepidation.

"Your Majesty Sword Douluo, do you sense it too?" Zhao Wuji approached him, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Grandpa, what's happening? Is there something in the distance? We shouldn't waste time!" Ning Rongrong inquired anxiously.

Sword Douluo fell silent.

Simultaneously, a surge of terrifying energy emanated from the position of the distant beam of light, causing everyone to shudder.

"What is that?" Dai Mubai raised his head, peering at the beam of light through the dense foliage of trees.

"Let's stop for now and observe." Sword Douluo advised, his voice low.

"There's a strange power ahead, and it's best not to advance recklessly."

Hearing his words, everyone complied.

"What an unusual power! It doesn't resemble that of a soul beast or a human." Zhao Wuji muttered in awe.

"Star Dou Great Forest, when did such a peculiar power emerge? It feels as if it could bring about the end of the world... I can't fathom what it is."

Sword Douluo frowned, gazing into the distance. His extensive experience made him more knowledgeable about the Star Dou Great Forest than Zhao Wuji.

But never before had he witnessed a power so terrifying.

"What in the world is that? Human? Soul beast? Or something else?" The fear welling up within him, a long-forgotten fear, rendered Sword Douluo unwilling to lead the group forward.

Throughout the years, he had rarely experienced such fear. Yet now, it was instinctive and he had no desire to approach that enigmatic source of power.

In another part of the Star Dou Great Forest.

Tang San who was locked in combat with a Human-Faced Demon Spider and the battle was reaching a crucial juncture. Suddenly, the Human-Faced Demon Spider emitted a piercing shriek and froze in place.

"A golden opportunity!" Tang San exclaimed, puzzled by why the demon spider had stopped moving. He approached cautiously, wielding the Clear Sky Hammer and launching a barrage of concealed weapons, instantly defeating the demon spider.

Back to Wang Feng's predicament, he remained unaware that the entire Star Dou Great Forest seemed to quiver the moment he clutched the Pangu Axe. Countless soul beasts turned their attention toward the distant beam of light, their eyes revealing instinctual fear, regardless of their size or age.

Whether human or soul beast, they shared the same unease.

At this point, Wang Feng's clothing lay in tatters and his sturdy body was riddled with countless blood vessels, pulsating brightly as if on the brink of eruption. Even his muscles writhed frenetically, as though they might burst forth at any moment.

From a distance, it appeared as though a multitude of blood vessels crisscrossed his body, creating a horrific but mesmerizing spectacle.

"It seems... I may have overdone it... Even with the energy absorbed by the Black Lotus merely supporting the manifestation of this ancient axe, my physical prowess may not suffice to be able to swing it." Wang Feng's consciousness barely clung to reality.

He hadn't anticipated that the utilization of the Pangu Axe would demand even greater physical prowess than he already had. He had assumed that it would only require a specific amount of spiritual energy to activate.

Surprisingly, the martial soul Pangu Axe placed an immense strain on his body! He was far from being able to wield it carefreely, it turned out!

But when you considered it, this was, after all, Pangu's Axe. Just how formidable was Pangu's physique? He can crush heaven and earth simply with his physical prowess.

His body felt frail, incapable of withstanding the might of this ancient axe.

The force that seemed to surge throughout his entire being compelled Wang Feng to stomp his foot.

Crack!

A horrifying rift materialized in the ground!

"While I remain unscathed by the might of Pangu's Axe, I shall vanquish you Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle first! Face my axe!"

Wang Feng's eyes blazed with intensity as a network of blood vessels coursed across his face, extending from his neck to his entire body.

With every exhale, searing heat escaped his lips.

As he pressed his foot into the earth, Wang Feng leaped skyward. His presence was akin to that of a deity, with the sky intermittently illuminating with distant flashes of thunder. It was as if this axe had summoned a vision of the world's end itself.

"Old turtle, today you will meet your end and I think I might too!" Wang Feng descended from great heights, his body bent into a terrifying arc, his muscles contracting with tremendous force, creating a cacophonous symphony of strength.

Roaring with the might of a mountain, Wang Feng charged at the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle, which now trembled with terror and swung his axe.

This single swing of the axe was enough to shatter the previously impervious bones of the turtle's body, and its steel protective gear was reduced to scattered remnants.

A deluge of blood spilled everywhere, resulting in a truly gruesome scene.

The axe's light was horrifying as it descended and the impact was deafening.

In response, the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle recoiled into its shell, driven by both the fear of the axe's power and the overwhelming presence it exuded.

This, after all, was the Pangu Axe, a creation that had once birthed the heavens and all living beings.

Even as a Martial Soul, who wouldn't cower before such a formidable force?

The once thorn-covered and impenetrable tortoise shell had nearly instantaneously yielded to the might of this axe.

The Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle thrust its head out and let out a painful, heart-wrenching roar, as streams of blood flowed from its tortoise shell.

Nevertheless, the recoil from the force sent Wang Feng hurtling tens of meters away in an instant.

The Pangu Axe, which had materialized in his grasp, vanished instantaneously simultaneously.

In the blink of an eye, all the sights before him dissipated like smoke. ….

Wang Feng, lying tens of meters away, summoned the last of his strength to raise his head and cast a weary gaze toward the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle in the distance.

At that moment, a chill swept over him. The mf tortoise was still alive.

"I pushed it too far." Wang Feng admitted to himself.

"While my soul power is sufficient, my physical prowess falls short and I couldn't fully unleash the potential of the condensed Pangu Axe, haiyaaaa."

He let out a sigh. "Seems like fate has other plans for me."

Nonetheless, the might of this ancient axe was undeniable. Even in its current state, it had nearly obliterated the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle with a single strike. With greater physical strength, Wang Feng believed he could have reduced it to mere fragments.

Yet, the consequences were apparent – he was now on the verge of death himself.

Gazing at the darkening sky, Wang Feng struggled to find words. The Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle, though battered, crawled determinedly toward him, emitting a menacing growl as if it intended to make a meal out of him.

"No, I can't end like this." Wang Feng muttered, summoning his last ounce of strength. He dragged his body along, using his only remaining foot to propel himself forward, resembling a determined caterpillar inching its way onward.

He continued to crawl, unaware of how much time had passed, until his body had almost nothing left to give. As he lay there, looking up at the sky, he sensed the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle drawing perilously close, likely only a few meters away.

But just as despair threatened to engulf him completely, the power of the Meteoric Tears welled up within him. Seeing this, Wang Feng couldn't help but smile weakly, despite his lack of strength to actually laugh.

"You really won't come out until I've exhausted every ounce of strength, will you? But now, coming out might just give the turtle the opportunity to devour me..."

Meteoric tears appeared to only emerge when one was at their limit, channeling energy to facilitate self-restoration. With his strength somewhat restored, Wang Feng's fingertips stirred, and his ring's soul guide emitted a faint glow.

He managed to retrieve a piece of clothing and clumsily draped it over himself. Due to his weakened state, he couldn't put it on properly. Everything on his body had been jolted off when he wielded the axe earlier, though the soul guide remained intact.

"Even in death, I won't go out looking indecent. I have my pride as a man, I'm not some only fans girls who likes to show their butthole for the world to see." Wang Feng mumbled to himself. In this world where he was a stranger, he no longer feared death. Instead, he found himself reminiscing about the images from his past.

Rustling sounds filled the air as the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle, dragging its feeble body, extended its grotesque head toward Wang Feng. It was also on the brink of death, but before succumbing, it intended to feast on the human before it.

Even in its weakened state, it was a proud and formidable creature, and it wouldn't tolerate being humiliated.

It inched closer to Wang Feng, its immense, ugly mouth opening wide.

Just then, a streak of blue light fell directly in front of the Mysterious Thorns Black Turtle, emanating a potent and imposing aura. The turtle was immediately seized by fear.

Wang Feng's eyes snapped open, his heart pounding as he muttered, "This sword?"

Simultaneously, a voice softly resonated, "A thirty-thousand-year-old Mysterios Thorns Black Turtle, and it's been injured like this? Are you the young man named Wang Feng?"

As the voice trailed off, an elderly man, dressed in white robes, seemingly untouched by time, materialized out of thin air. He appeared before Wang Feng, suspended in mid-air, and wore a thoughtful expression.

"Grandpa, who are you?" Wang Feng mustered some strength, his voice weak but curious. Meteoric Tears were gradually healing his injuries, but it would take time. A quick recovery seemed unlikely.

"Who am I?" The elderly man turned to Wang Feng with a grin.

"Can't you see my sword?"

Confused, Wang Feng responded, "Grandpa, why are you scolding me for no reason?"

The old man's face stiffened, and he huffed in silence, not explaining anything.

However, nine soul rings on the old man suddenly lit up, nearly blinding Wang Feng.

Wang Feng couldn't help but exclaim, "Are you a Sword Douluo? And you are in the Star Dou Great Forest? Seriously?"

"Why would he show up now?" Wang Feng lamented his fate.

"Senior, I don't know why you're looking for me, but what can I help you with?"

As they chatted, Wang Feng slowly regained some strength, thanks to Meteoric Tears.
