Chronicles of Sigil Intro

(For readers to understand meaning of 'Sigil' it is a sign or an image considered magical it appears on the arms of a awakened(explained below) as permanent tattoo.)

Humans have gained powers through a mystical phenomenon known as "The Awakening." The Awakening occurs when individuals reach a certain age, typically around adolescence, and are marked by the appearance of a unique symbol or glyph on their bodies. This symbol, known as a "Sigil," is imbued with ancient magic and grants its bearer specific powers based on their personality, experiences, and deepest desires.

The Sigils are bestowed upon humans by ethereal beings known as "Ascendants." These Ascendants are enigmatic entities that exist beyond the mortal realm, and their motives and origins are shrouded in mystery. It is believed that they select individuals worthy of their powers based on some unknown criteria, but their criteria may not always align with human understanding.

The powers granted by the Sigils are diverse and can range from elemental manipulation to telekinesis, from shapeshifting and etc. However, the powers come with a price. Each time a bearer uses their abilities, they must pay a toll to the Ascendants in the form of a fragment of their soul.
