Li Hua Jia opened her eyes to find herself in a white space. She called it "space" because really, she couldn't see any angle. The space just seemed to stretch itself endlessly. Everywhere she looked, the pure white color entered her eyes.

"This must be the so called heaven." Li Hua Jia said out loud as her eyes continued to examine the space she's standing in. "Though really, I didn't think I'd be in heaven after I died."

[Welcome, Host No.4. I am baobao. Your adorable assistant.]

A voice suddenly sounded, scaring her so much she almost jump. In front of her, the white space seemed to vibrate before a red fox appeared. It walked elegantly before stopping right in front of her. The fox is a bit small in statue and seems to only reach her knee. There's nothing out of ordinary about this fox's appearance, except that…it can speak?

"Host?" Li Hua Jia blinked her eyes, clearly not understand anything about this strange situation. She is clearly dead. So where is she now?

Baobao the red fox grinned in delight at her red-dyed face.

"Oh." Li Hua Jia seriously had no idea what emotions she should have right now. Though, there was still one thing she was curious about. Her only attachment to her old life. "The things you've mentioned before, I'm not interested in them. However, there is one thing you can help me with. I will do your missions in return."

"I want to know my biological parents. Whether they are dead or alive, and their reason for…leaving me." Li Hua Jia tried to show no visible emotion on her face but it was difficult. She had never talked about this with anyone nor did she ever try to actively pursue the matter after she became independent. Though, it didn't mean she wasn't bother by it.

She was left on the doorstep of the orphanage when she was only 2 months old. There was no clue about her parents. She was never adopted. After she turned 18, she left the orphanage and wandered about in the world. With no clues to continue and only herself to depend on, she started to put thing about her parents to the back of her mind. Now, it should be easy for this space between worlds to do some searching, right?

Baobao the fox had a difficult expression on,[Well, we can. But host, you see, as I've mentioned, we are still a low level space. The things we can do is a bit limited. But it's not impossible. Host, you can work hard and help this space upgrade. We will be more helpful to you in the future.]

Looking at the beautiful red fox in front of her, Li Hua Jia suddenly felt she probably shouldn't trust this grinning fox. Besides, the information it had told her seemed important but after really thinking about it, she realized it had told her nothing significant about this place at all. Also, why does it keep saying "we"?

Still, she had nothing else to lose. So why not? She might as well take the chance to enjoy what she missed out before.

"What happen if I can't complete the mission?"

[Well, it depends. If you run out of energy, host, you will evaporate. That mean you should harvest as much energy as you can in each world to reserve.]

"Whose energy should I harvest?"

[Well, the one with the stronger aura, the better.]

"So no specific target?"

Baobao seems to be telling her with its foxy eyes that the more people she extract the energy from, the better. Li Hua Jia sighs. She suddenly feels like she has become a certain type of demon that need men's energy to stay alive.

"Fine."

Baobao grinned widely. The feeling this host gives it is different from other previous hosts. It was like there was something hidden beneath all that dull and bland surface. It has a good feeling about its host this time. It said excitedly,[I will now transfer you to the mission world. As it is your first time, I have chosen an easy world for you. She has no idea what she's getting into.
