1 Bad news ,Good news

Bella pov

The sun is beaming and as my aunt likes to say the early bird gets the worm , it's time to get ready for my check up before tia (aunt) comes to wake me , i roll off my bed only for my feet to touch the cold wood floor because of the air conditioner, while that would bother most people for me I don't mind it much.

I grab my bra and panties with a black shirt and some washed off blue jeans ,i walk into the bathroom to turn on the warm water and get undressed quickly so i can start to wash up , i get out the shower dry off and begin to wash my face then brush my teeth .

I brush my hair into a ponytail and spray myself with coconut body spray , put my deodorant on and get dressed.

As I'm about to go into my room to put my sneakers on my tia (aunt) yells my name to come eat but she knows that i hate eating in the morning .

Water and coffee is normally all i have in the morning .

I go downstairs only to look at my aunt smiling beautifully at me with her light brown hair and perfect brows and green eyes, she resembles my mother so much while i look more like my father black wavy hair ,light skin ,blue/gray eye thick brows and full lips .

I'm short though like my mom was and fit . My aunt breaks my train of thought when she notice me frown saying hey mi Estrella come algo (hey my star eat something) i look at her and say tia (aunt) I'll just have some coffee and water we have to go to hospital for my check up , she sighs and says ok , i grab a bottle of room temperature water and she hands me my coffee and we head to the car which is a Toyota Camry lx 2009 in red , she opens the door and we get in and she starts the car , we live in a small town so the hospital is only 10 mins away we got to the hospital in no time.

My aunt parks and turns off the car, as we are getting out the car my aunt looks at me with worried eyes, i look at her and say don't worry it will be ok let's go , she smiles and we head into the hospital i let the nurse know I'm here so she can let doctor jones know.She tells me he said for me to get my weight and all that stuff done so when he comes to get me and my aunt we don't have to do it so i follow her to room 213 and we get it done.

Nicolai pov

I've been back home for a week and i have to go to the hospital to get checked to make sure I'm cleared for working and stuff .i had applied to become a firefighter but i need the all clear before i start,anyhow my mom has been on my case about putting myself out there, she got scared because i got injured so bad the army discharged me. Im not thrilled by it but what can i do .

I'm on my way to the hospital with my mom and she was telling me how everyone is doing in town , nothing's really changed at all it seems i tell my mom ,she begins to tell me about our neighbors "well iris tells me she's worried about her niece she has no friends and boys ask her out and she shuts them all down , since the accident she hasn't let anyone in ", we arrive at the hospital and i park and turn the car off and i tell my mom "look it's normal she was only 13 years old and she was in the car when she seen her dad push her out and it blew up she went through something traumatic it will take time but she will be ok ", now lets go we are running late .

I begin to remember how bad that accident was iris was young her parents passed and then her sister and her brother inlaw too , and from what i could remember iris niece was in a coma for a month because her dad saved her but she it her head on hard on the ground , it was a sad day , iris sister was a trauma nurse and her brother inlaw was captain in the fire station .

We walk to the front desk and to my surprise it's my ex from high school tilly , she says hi to me with a flirty smile and completely ignored my mom , i was going to say something but my mom beat me to it , instead of flirting with my son do your job and let dr jones know we are here!

I smirk at my mother and tilly with an attitude does her job and let dr jones know his 9 am is here.

Bella pov

Dr jones comes to the room and says hey bell how are you ?

As good as i can be waiting for the results i reply

Dr jones smiles at me and says always straight to the point with you .

I answered with a nod

My aunt sighs and say Dr jones what are the results ?

Dr jones reply's straight but with a sweet calming tone "it's cancer ,but we caught it early so we can treat it ".

My aunt starts to cry and i just sighed i get up and walk to my aunt and hug her and say "hey it's going to be ok don't cry" , my aunt wipes her tears and look at me and say I "can't lose you too" , i smile at her and say "im strong and Dr jones said we caught it early so don't worry k".She ask Dr jones everything we have to do and we schedule all the appointments and testing , now you're probably wondering why im calm well before my family got in that accident we had found out that my dad had cancer and he had it as a child and beat it but well it came back so yeah, i believe this if it's my time to go it's my time . My aunt has a boyfriend so i know she will be ok she's 30 years old and still hasn't settled down because of me, i want her to be happy she's the only person i care about .

Dr jones hey how are you i ask ?

Im good just having a rough morning he answers

Sorry to hear that

Dr jones says it's ok now let check you out

He checks me and says i healed great and that im ready to go , my mom said her thanks to dr jones and i did too .While we was going to get the paperwork saying I'm cleared to work we bumped into iris and her niece my mom says sorry to iris and iris gives a weak smile and tells my mom it's ok . I say hello to iris saying "hello ma'am " and she says hi back and ask how im doing ? I answered and said the doctor cleared me for work so im great , she smiles and tells bella to say hi , i look to my right and see bella say hi to my mom but doesn't smile or hug she just say hi my mom smiles and says hi back , i just stare at her for what feels like seconds but was actually minutes while my mom and iris spoke to each other.she's so breathtakingly beautiful, yes i know cliche but her light skin and black raven hair makes her eyes pop out more, i guess i was staring for too long with a serious face that my mom and iris asked if i was ok , i smile and say yes im ok and iris introduces me to bella , bella this young man is Nicolai Sandy son , she looks at her aunt says yes I remember, bella turns to me and says hi and turns to her aunt telling her they have to go to cause she has work , i smile as my mom hugs iris and says they should come to my welcome back home party iris says bye and i say bye to both iris and bella .Bella waves at my mom and me and leaves out the hospital.My mom smiles at me and says she's beautiful isn't she ? I say she is but she's only 17years old mom don't even think about it .
