2 HELTCHIN LAKE

Malia. Here. Here.

Malia, is it true that you are dating Kent Jones?

Malia, are you in a relationship?

Do you have a boyfriend?

Malia, what was Kent doing at your house?

Dylan, do you have a girlfriend?

Dylan, is Malia dating Kent?

Ugh. I rest my head and close my eyes as soon as I sat on the shotgun seat. In a matter of seconds, Dylan got into the driver's seat.

"Hey, you okay?" he asked. I can feel his hand on my face. My hand made its way up to hold his hand. I purred onto it like a cat feeling its warmth.

"I'm tired of hiding us. I'm tired of this... all of these." Words came out of frustration.

I felt him taking a step back, even though there is no space to step back at. I just felt him moving slightly aback.

"A-are you breaking up with me?" His voice broke, which caused me to shut my eyes open.

"What? No? I didn't mean it that way," I eagerly defended. He held the same hand that I was using to hold his and kissed the top of it.

"You don't know how much I love you," I heard him say. With our hands intertwined, we looked at each other and exchanged sweet smiles.

I let out a sigh and asked, "So ... where are we going?"

"You'll know when we get there. As for now, you can take a rest. It's gonna be a long ride," he assured. Minutes later I can feel the darkness take over.

I felt the cold breeze touch my face which initially woke me up from my sleep.

I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Glancing to my left, I saw Dylan looking at me.

"How long have we been here? Why didn't you wake me up?" I asked. He just smiled at me. Went out of the car and opened the door for me.

"Where are we?" I asked while getting out of the car.

"Heltchin Lake," he answered grabbing my hands.

As soon as I got out of the car, I can't help but fall in love with the view. The lake is shining. I could see a put-up bonfire, a log to sit on and a comforter with two pillows laying on the grass. The moon is shining on the lake and the stars are out. Millions, billions, I don't know whatever of them. Its reflection on the water is so beautiful. Everything is perfect.

"Wow. How could something be this perfect?" I said in admiration.

"I don't know. Let's just admire the view. Let's go," he said guiding me towards the bonfire. We sat on the comforter.

"How did you find this place?", I asked him. I'm pretty sure this place is hard to find. I mean it's like in the middle of the woods.

"Last hunting season. I happen to got lost while hunting and I got here. The same view but not as perfect as this," he answered, looking at the night sky.

"Same view but not as perfect as this? How come?" Well seeing this view is perfect. What could be more perfect other than this view?

"Same view, but not as perfect as this. Being with you, seeing the same view with you here by my side. That is perfect for me than seeing the same view by myself, " he said intently looking at me. I slid my hand getting the pillow and hit it on his face. Damn. Why does he need to be so sweet? I laughed at him.

"Why do you need to ruin the moment? Can't you see I'm being serious here," he grumpily complained, looking straight into the night sky.

"Hey, okay. I'm sorry, Dyl." I apologized.

"Dyl." He's still not responding. He's still mad.

"Dyl, I'm sorry. Talk to me." Still no reply.

"Dyl, I love you." Not even a glance.

"Okay, I'm sorry. It's just that what you said is so sweet. And you know I don't respond to sweetness sweetly," I admit to him. He looked at me, finally. His face still looking like a grumpy old man. It turned into a smirk, and the next thing I knew is that my face is being hit with a pillow. That's it!!

"PILLOW FIGHT!!" we shouted in chorus. I hurriedly stood up and ran like a little girl with a pillow while he chases me. It's like going back in the old times. Being a child again. At least, in here, we could be ourselves. In here, no one will judge us. In here, we could be us. Our laughter echoes in the whole place. I just don't want this night to end.

Running backwards, I tripped off and fell on my back. He fell on top of me. We were just there laughing. Feeling our chest moving together. Vibrating against our bodies until our laughter slowly dies. He's now looking into me. It's like he's looking deep into my soul.

I can feel him leaning closer. I know he will surely kiss me. I shoved the pillow between our faces and laughed. I could hear him grunt. I felt his weigh load off. I looked up to see him extending his hand to me. I grabbed it, and he pulled me to stand up. We walk back to the comforter, this time laying under the stars.

Just seconds after, I could hear my stomach protesting so loud that even Dylan heard it. We both laughed at it.

"Someone's hungry. I think you should give her some food," he laughed at my statement.

"Wait here. I'll get the foods," he said and walked off. He came back holding a basket.

"How long did you prepare for this?" I asked, while setting up our foods.

"Actually, I just thought of it this morning. It just popped into my head. Came out of nowhere," he answered.

"Seriously?" I said, and just laughed at his reply. We ate peacefully. Toasted some mallows, joked around, and finally, lay under the stars.

I could feel his hands playing with my hair.

"Shouldn't we be going home by now?" I asked.

"Do you want to go home?" He replied.

"Well, Lian told me that I have a photoshoot scheduled tomorrow by 10 am. But I think I'd just be late or maybe even miss it. I know she'd kill me for it, but I would rather stay here," I answered. I really want to just stay here. I don't care what's waiting for me tomorrow, but I just want to stay here.

"Beth told me that we're in that same photoshoot. Let's just stay here," I heard him respond. "I wish we could stay like this forever."

"Me, too. Away from hiding and where we can be ourselves all the time... I'm tired of hiding," I said still looking up in the sky.

"Dyl, what if we run away? Away from the fame and fortune. I mean I could live in a place like this," I put my thoughts into words.

"I was thinking of the same thing. We could stay in here, and just live on how we want our lives to be. I could give up the fame, fortune and even our family for you. But this is not the right time for that. Hey, I remember you love those tiny houses. I remember you watching a lot of that videos on youtube," he explained.

"Yeah. I love those tiny houses. Why bother to ask?" What does these tiny houses even have to do with us?

"I know you've always wished to make tiny houses like that. We could build one here and live", he said seriously.

"Are you freaking serious?" I can't contain my excitement at the thought.

"Yeah. I am. If we want to run away, we should have some place to stay right. I was thinking that this would be the perfect place." This indeed would be a perfect place to live.

"Dyl!! I really really love you!! so so much!!" I squealed in excitement and hugged him.

"I want to run away. Will you run away with me?" I heard him mutter.

"Yes, Dyl. I will run away with you," I answered not thinking about another things. Just the two of us. The two of us. We cuddled until we fell asleep.
