Punishment.

Mysterious Hairpin:

A hairpin with the ability to heal 5% of health every 10 minutes. Previous owners have died already, free to claim. Owner: None.

"Ah...this...." Hazel paused. She also did some quick thinking. If this hairpin healed some of her health every 10 minutes, then if she had tons of health...wouldn't she be able to generate thousands of health every 5 minutes?!! This could also explain some stuff to Liu....

"...Liu?" Hazel spoke in a soft voice.

"Yes?" Liu was worried that Hazel suddenly collapsed.

"I know why I was able to heal, but it's just....I can't tell you yet. Sorry." Hazel bowed her head slightly.

"It's okay, after all, you wouldn't reveal a secret to a stranger right?" Liu wasn't mad, sad, or disappointed. He was actually applauding Ali for her smartness. He would have been a bit more strict if Ali actually revealed how she was able to heal.

"..Thanks." Hazel all of a sudden remembered something. Where was Vu?!?!!!!!!!!

...

A few days ago.

"Hey Mary, can you watch over Vu for a few days? Scavenging for food is kinda dangerous for him." Hazel held up the reluctant Vu.

"Oh course sweetie, but does Vu have any food he needs specifically?" Mary asked.

(I forgot Vu's gender....let's just say Vu is a guy from now on.)

"Mmm..not really. I guess he doesn't really like beef though." Hazel pondered for a bit.

"Well anyways, it's no problem! Leave it to me!" Mary huffed out.

...

Oh yea....that was where Vu went....But what happened to the group? Did they manage by themselves? ...Well they did it before....I need to thank them and leave. Them is referring to Liu and Seth.

"Anyways, I need to get going soon." Hazel put on her facade.

"Huh? So soon?" Liu was concerned for her health. Although she healed, how would she defend herself.

"Yes, I have things to do." Hazel tried not to be rude, but still was annoyed at everything.

"I see...Well, it's your choice." Liu smiled.

As Hazel was getting ready to go, an alarm sounded from the system.

"Hazel, what ever you do...do not trust that man." Before Hazel could respond, the system spoke again. "I need to report something to the higher ups,...Kroff will join you now." The other system disappeared and Hazel was left confused once again.

"...Ding! Initiating.....Ding! Successfully initiated." The familiar feeling of Kroff came back.

Hazel gasped in relief. "Oh my god...thank god you're back..."

"..." The system was quiet.

"Kroff, are you still angry?" Hazel pouted.

"I'm not programmed to have emotions like anger, so I do not understand what you are talking about." Kroff's voice sounded abit different.

"W-What are you talking about?! You clearly expressed human emotions! I know you're mad, but you don't have to make up such blatant lies like this."

"Say what you want, a mission has just arrived from the main system....Ding! Important task assigned: Get close to Liu 0/1"

"Ah about this too! Why did everything go strange with this Liu man popped out?! A new system even came to replace you for a moment! Is there anything special about him!?" Hazel observed Liu before, but couldn't find anything remarkable.

"Just do your mission." Kroff shut off.

"Tch! This guy...." Hazel's anger reignited when Kroff left. She tried to forgive him, but now he's doing this! Hazel decided to go against the system's missions for once.

She finished packing up and abruptly left. No goodbye or nothing, although she knew it wasn't their fault....she was still too angry to think.

Hazel said goodbye to Liu and went back to the house. She had mixed feelings on whatever happened just now.

A new system, Kroff acting strange, Liu is something strange...She frowned as she tried to relax herself.

"Breath in Hazel...you are better then this." Hazel breathed in and out. It didn't really work however, so Hazel just beat up a pillow to vent her anger and confusion.

Eventually, Hazel dressed herself up again and went to kill some zombies. She'll become so strong that even the system will have to treat her with respect! This way, she won't have to obey every beck and call from the system.

Wait...do I even get punishment for not completing my quests. Hazel paused in her tracks. She checked the time left until her next mission, 23 hours.

She decided to wait and see what would happen if she didn't complete the mission.

---

"Ding! New daily mission assigned, Find Vu 0/1" The system issued a mission.

Hazel bit her lip, she actually was planning to find Vu on her own...ugh no! I'll wait.

24 hours later, a notification popped up.

"Ding! Mission Find Vu: 0/1 failed! Issuing suitable punishment based on progress...Progress 0% Issuing level 5 punishment!"

Hazel felt a sharp pain making her close her eyes, she felt dizzy and felt like vomiting. She managed to open her eyes, and she found herself in a forest in the middle of the night. She gasped and backed up.

"What the-?! E-Eek!" She suddenly stepped on something slimy and warm. She looked down to her shoe and found drops of a red substance. A foul odor was emitting from the thing, and Hazel leaned in closer to see what it was.

It was blood. She jumped back and looked towards the ground and saw a human body.
