Louise The Zero: Part Two

Louise blinked once. She blinked twice. Then she suddenly screamed.

"W-w-who are you people!" Louise hastily scurried into a corner of the wall with her wand shakily pointing at them.

Standing before her was a midget and a weirdo. They were definitely suspicious! Of course, they must be kidnappers using an aristocrat like her as ransom! That's it!

Louise had all sorts of worst-case scenarios playing out in her head right now.

[You have successfully summoned Louise Françiose Le Blanc de la Vallière.]

Batu didn't know whether he should laugh or cry.

Maybe both.

He didn't know what he was expecting to be honest. Of course The Creator wouldn't offer him an overpowered character right of the bat, but come on!

He should at least get someone that was moderately powerful, but this...

Batu glanced down at Louise. Her cute, yet angry eyes stared back at him in turn. This was definitely going to be a long night.

He wasn't sure if this Louise knew about her affinity with Void magic or not. He will definitely need to find out more.

"Oi, Batu, what the hell did you just do now?" Chin asked, his eyes still focused on the petite girl huddling in the corner. "And who's this lil' girl?"

"It's, uh... it's complicated."

"Stay back, you fiends!" Louise shouted at them. "Or else I'll hurt you both with the power of my magic!"

Wait a minute, if Batu remembered correctly, besides Louise being able to perform relatively simple magic spells, the only capable magic spell she was able to cast was... an explosion. Crap.

"Woah, hold on, Louise!" Batu tried to deescalate the situation before it got out of hand. "My name's Batu and this is Chin. We're not here to hurt you, see? No bad guys here."

"Uh, hi?" the shorty waved at Louise. He tried to give her his best smile, but all it did was made Louise repulse in disgust.

Louise crossed her arms, "Oh? So you DO know my name. Then, I'm sure you understand the consequences for kidnapping a nobility!"

Little did she know that she wasn't in her own world anymore.

"Yeah... about that," Batu scratched his head. "It's not that I kidnapped you, it's more like I... sorta summoned you here."

.

.

.

"YOU WHAT?!" Louise's lavender pink eyes nearly bulged out of her sockets. She didn't want to believe it. How could she?

She spent all night to mentally prepare herself to summon a powerful familiar, only to be summoned instead.

"Hey, it's not like I chosen to-"

Batu was interrupted as Louise stormed up to him, shaking him by the shoulders as hard as she could.

"You need to send me back right now!"

"I-don't-think-I-can," Batu felt his head growing dizzy. He could practically see stars spinning above him.

"What do you mean you can't!"

"I don't know how to!"

Louise suddenly let go Batu, causing him to fall to the ground. She then collapsed onto her knees; her eyes stared helplessly at the ground. Was this all the she amounted to? To be a lowly familiar to some man?

"I guess this is befitting for someone like me. Louise the Zero," Louise muttered to herself. She felt like crying.

No! This wasn't who she was. She wouldn't let something like this bring her down.

Louise knew she didn't have the talent for any of the elemental affinities, but that didn't stop her from learning magic. Being stuck here was only a setback that she would overcome.

So what if she had been summoned! That just mean that she had to be powerful, right? Besides, she would find a way back, even if she had to force Batu to bring her home.

With newfound determination in her heart, Louise stood back up again, flicking her cape back with arms akimbo. With an aura of haughtiness, she truly looked like a daughter of an aristocrat.

"Hmph, as weird as you may be, Mister Batu, it seems that your magic must be great enough to summon a powerful mage like myself," at this point, Louise was just stroking her own ego.

"I will allow you to have me, a powerful noble from the House of Vallière, as your... your... servant," she struggled to spit out that last word. Just saying that had sent a shiver down her spine.

"Now, hurry up and form a pact with me."

If Batu remembered correctly from the first episode, Louise kissed Saito on the lips in order to complete the ritual. Then, that would mean she wanted to kiss him.

'Wait, do I really need to form a pact with my [Summon] Skill?' he thought to himself.

[You must form a pact with your summon in order to unlock their full potential.]

Batu glanced at the new message that popped up. What a coincidence.

'Don't tell me that I have to kiss her as well.'

[A kiss must be performed in order to complete the pact.]

Great. Now, it felt like The Creator was just fucking with him.

"What's with the hold up?" Louise glared at him, tapping the ground impatiently with her foot.

"Alright, alright, I'll do it. Sheesh."

Batu stood in front of her and looked down at Louise who was a head shorter than him.

Getting a closer look at her, she really was beautiful.

Taking a deep breath, Batu grabbed Louise's shoulders and leaned in for a kiss. As his lips met hers, Batu felt a strange, tingly sensation in his chest.

That was his actual first kiss. With a 2D woman no less, but still.

It felt... nice.

[Pact successfully formed! The summon now has access to her own status window. You can now share statuses with each other.]

Louise quickly pushed Batu away before jabbing a finger at his chest, "I expect you to find a way to send me back, got that?"

"S-sure, no problem."

"Wait, hold the fuck up!" Chin suddenly ruined their romantic moment. "Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on here?"

Confusion was an understatement for Chin. First, he saw Batu doing some kind of voodoo magic, then a cute girl suddenly appeared and now they were kissing?

Was he missing something here?!

* * * * *

"Oh... so that's what it is," Chin nodded his head in understanding.

Batu had to fill him in on the whole story to dispel any confusion that he had. Especially about his 'unique' class. However, he just kept the shoujo part to himself. He didn't want to embarrass himself any further than he already had.

"But, aren't y'all two taking this relationship a little too quickly?" he sighed. "I swear, kids these days rush into things way too much. Back in my day, it took me two years to woo a woman. But, it turns out she just doesn't like short guys."

"You must be blind if I have feelings for that guy!" Louise blushed red like a tomato.

Batu facepalm himself, "I told ya for the last time, I had to do it to complete the pact."

"Yeah, okay," Chin smirked at him.

"Anyways... Louise, can you see your status window yet?" Batu quickly changed the subject.

She nodded, "I honestly didn't believe you at first, but looking at it now, it seems so surreal."

It was believable at first when Batu told her that she had been summoned into another world. However, when he explained to her that they were trapped inside a death game by some weirdo with a god complex, Louise thought Batu had gone batshit crazy.

Batu quickly pulled up Louise's stat window and was fairly surprised by what he saw.
