3 Growing Pains

Amanda was in 6th grade when that asshole named puberty showed up. And it didn't go away for years. One fine and dandy morning she woke up and her chest hurt. A lot. Not the sharp, piercing pain as one might imagine but a dull and persistent ache. She peeked under her collar and saw that her chest was a bit bigger than usual. And heavier too.

[Okay, now it looks like I have manboobs.]

Amanda poked at one of the lumps on her chest. Friggin' frackers it hurt like *bleep*. Those lump thingies on her chest which she now figured out were her developing breasts felt hard. Like there was a disk-like thingamajig under each of her boobs.

The pubescent middle schooler came home from school that day and told her mom who sat her down to have "the talk". Essential how puberty changes your body and how babies are made. The plug in the socket thing.

She bought some of her newest essentials and started to wear them. Mind you, they were the most uncomfortable thing Amanda had ever worn. They shifted up and down when she moved and they did nothing to prevent her chest from aching like *bleep* when she bumped into something.

A few months later, she was sent to her grandma's house where she ate a lot of snacks and so Aunt Flo came earlier than expected. The first few days were miserable and due to the fact that she had eaten so much junk food, the bloody mess endured for 8 full days and she was constantly lethargic and irritable.

A/N: The sentence above does not give a go ahead to the males who are reading this wonderful piece of literature to say to a female when they're pissed/irritable ArE yOu On YoUr PeRiOd??? Although yes, women experience mood swings when Aunt Flo visits, that does not mean every pissed off/irritable woman is on her period.

Boob pain continued for another 5 years and stopped when she was a senior in high school. Menstrual annoyances however, will continue to exist until menopause hits and she loses her ability to make babies. That is, unless she gets her tubes tied or uterus removed/injured. Something along those lines.

Farewell, Amanda! Good luck on your journey through the pains of womanhood!
