7 The Result

There was silence in the room for a few seconds in the room. Then there was a thunderous applause. No one expected her to give her own twist to the song. The added verse did not sound out of place. Instead, it actually made the song even better. It was absolutely amazing. Futhermore, her charisma on stage - without a hint of hesitation - made everyone swoon. Her looks were also brilliant. She did not look frail and innocent but looked fierce and dominating.

So-Young was frozen. She did not expect such a reaction from them. She did not know that they would like her performance so much. She was almost in tears but held them in. This was no time to cry. She then waited for the judges to give their verdict.

All the three of the judges knew that she had to be selected into the next round. And based on her performance, She could certainly dance well. They knew in their hearts that she would be the one selected from this audition.But they couldn't cut it short like this. It would be unfair to the rest of the people waiting for their turn. Therefore, the auditions could only continue.

After a few seconds of discussion among the three of them, Yang Hyun-suk said, "Congratulations, You have moved on to the next stage of the audition. Please take some rest and prepare well." So-Young was very happy and excited. She unknowingly displayed one of her most handsome smiles and bowed to thank them. She then hurriedly walked out to tell her mother the good news. The moment she left the room, there were people mumbling to each other.

"I did not expect that she would add her own verse to the song. It was amazing."

"Both her singing and rapping skills are brilliant. With a little bit of practice she would be ready for debut."

At the judges table :

YANG HYUN-SUK: "what are your opinions of her?"

GDRAGON: "Rapping skills are good. Raw and emotional voice. Huge potential."

TAEYANG: "I agree with him. And that verse... if she added it on her own... It shows her composing skills. Plus, she is a looker. In a few more years.... she could make it big."

YANG HYUN-SUK: "Hmmm... we are yet to see her dancing skills. If she can dance well... lets say that she is for sure going to be selected."

So-Young was so happy. She called her mother the second she walked out of the room.

SO-YOUNG: "Hello, Mom... Guess what?... I got through the first round."

MOM: "That is great! are you going to prepare for the next round?"

SO-YOUNG: "Yes.. mom I am so happy right now. I'll call you back after the next round."

MOM: "ok. So-Young hwaiting!!"

then she ended the call.

So-Young made her way to the waiting room. There were many girls who were present there. The next round would reduce the number of girls to half. After all the girls assembled from the first round, a tall lady came up to them and said, "I am Min Chan-sook. I will be teaching you a dance routine and you will have to perform it for the judges in 3 hours. I wish you all the best."
