13 Talk with CEO

So-Young did not tell anyone of her friends about making her own music. She did not know how they would react. Plus, if they were not together in a group, it could cause a lot of problems. She did not want things to get complicated. She walked into the practice room of YG as per normal.

Bom was there early today. The moment Bom saw her walk in, she got up and rushed up to her.

Bom: "Girl! Are you okay? Do you know how concerned I was? how could you just run away like that? And how do you run that fast? I could not even catch up."

So-Young: "Calm down Unni! I am better now. I am sorry for worrying you so much."

Bom: "gosh... this girl. Are you sure you are okay?"

So-Young: "yes yes. I'm ok!"

Chae-rin and Min-Ji walked in at this point.

Chae-rin: "What are the eldest and youngest planning so secretly?"

Min-Ji: "Don't leave us out!"

Bom: " I was just concerned about the youngest one. She really knows how to make others worry."

So-Young: " sorry. Okay! Let's start practising. Our deadline is tomorrow after all. Plus, I missed yesterday's practice."

All of them were about to start when a staff member came in and called them over.

"The CEO wants to meet you four. Please go to the main office immediately." The four girls exchanged looks and made their way to the main office. They did not know why the CEO wanted to talk to them.

In the office a smiling Yang-Hyun Suk greeted them. "I am sure you all are confused as to why I am calling you here but please take a seat first." He gestured to the five seats in front of his desk. All of them sat down and looked at him. He began, " I think you remember on the day of you audition, I told you we were planning for a girl group." All of them nodded. He continued, "and I said that I hope you all would be a part of it. Well, congratulations. We have decided that the four of you and another girl will debut in a year."

All of them were speechless. They did not know what to say. So-Young spoke up, "Thank you so much. But Sajang-Nim, if you don't mind me asking, who will be the 5th member of our group?"

CEO Yang-Hyun Suk smiled and said, " I thought you would never ask. Miss Sandara Park, please come in." So-Young knew it was coming but was still surprised. It was a relief that the all the 2ne1 members were together but she was really happy that she could be with them.

As Sandara Park entered the room, CEO Yang-Hyun Suk was about to introduce her. But So-Young said, "Is this the same Sandara Park who was in the Philippines and was on the talent show Star Circle Quest in 2004?" Yang-Hyun Suk was surprised that someone knew of a talent from Philippines. But he did answer her question. "Yes, she is the one and only. She has come to Korea to become an idol. Please take care of her." All of the girls nodded. Sandara Park came in and introduces herself. "Hello, I am Sandara Park, 22 years old. Nice to meet you all." The CEO ushered her to take a seat beside them.

"I was originally planning for a girl group to debut in 2009, but I think we can cut the time short. You all will be debuting in a year. You will have to put in double amount of effort for this to work. I hope all of you can meet my expectations. Training is going to be rigorous and harsher. And I hope you will make Miss Sandara feel comfortable in Korea." He looked at the girls and waited for them to process his words. He continued, "For all you girls to feel more comfortable around each other, You all will be living together. The accommodations have been prepared. You will move in in a months time. I hope you all do well."

They all were left flabbergasted. He then made a staff member escort them out of the room. The moment all five of them reached the training room, the started shouting and squealing in delight. After a few minutes of celebrating, the introductions began.
