15 Best Friends

It was 5 in the morning by the time So-Young was fell asleep. They were in one of the hospital rooms and her mother would only be discharged after another day. She called up Chae-rin and told her the good news. She asked Chae-Rin to help her request for leave for a day. After a conratulating her and a little chatting, she plopped on the guest bed and crashed. her father crashed on the sofa.

She woke up in 3 hours to the sound of wailing. She got up to see her mom up and rocking Taetae. "Mom, you should get some sleep. I'll hold Taetae for a while." Her mom hesitated for a bit but the temptation of sleep won her over. She explained how to handle a baby and fell asleep.

Surprisingly, Taetae stoped wailing the moment she carried him. She Carried him with her and sat on the bed. He looked up at her for a few moments and fell asleep. He looked really adorable. She would have pinched his cheeks but was scared of waking him up.

After a whole day of fussing over her mom and Taetae, so-young's mother got annoyed and kicked her out. She told her to go back to the apartment and practice.

When she returned back, four girls pounced on her. They congratulated her and demanded to meet her brother. So-Young was more than happy to show off her adorable brother to all of them. They decided to meet the little guy in a month after things settled down.

Sandara fit into the group really easily. She was a good companion for Bom who was the same age as her. Bom used to feel a little left out due to the huge age gap but after Sandara came in, they bonded like gel.

*time skip 1 month later*

All of the girls were about to spend their day off at So-Young's house. They were really excited to see little Taetae. Showing them pictures of him was a big mistake. Now they were demanding more. Though So-Young was secretly very happy that her friends found her baby brother so cute.

They all took a taxi to her house and rang the doorbell. So-Young's father opened the door and greeted them.

Dad: "You girls have grown so big and have become more beautiful!"

Chae-rin: "And Mr. Kim has gotten more handsome."

Min-ji: " I agree with Chae-rin unni!"

Bom: "If almost feels like you have gotten younger."

It was true, So-Young's father was really happy after Taetae. He felt really lonely after So-Young had to leave.

So-Young: " Dad you have not met Sandara yet."

Sandara: "Nice to meet you Mr. Kim"

Dad: "nice to meet you too. Please come in."

All of them went inside. So-Young led them to the living room. Her mother was already seated there with little Taetae in her arms. All the girls huddled around them. So-Young introduced Sandara to her mother too. Taetae was a bit overwhelmed by the attention and started crying. So-Young's mother tried to console him but it was of no use.

Mom: "Oh I give up. So-Young, console him. He always stops crying when he is with you. "

So-Young got up and carried Taetae. The moment he saw her pick him up, he stopped crying and started smiling.

Chae-rin: " woah! He actually stopped crying. "

Sandara: " How did you do that So-yo?"

So-Young: " He just likes me more then mom. You should see how jealous mom gets sometimes. "

Her mother walked her playfully and all of them burst into giggles.

They ate a very hearty meal. It was an Indian dish today. So-Young's mother started learning how to cook Indian dishes after she came to know about So-Young's past. After trying a few recipes, the three of them ate atleast one Indian meal a week. Everyone loved the naan and dal makhni.

Sandara: " this is my first time eating Indian food! It's really good. "

Min-ji: " We were also surprised the first time we ate it. Now all of us die for this food."

Bom: " Only So-Young's mother can make such delicious food!"

Chae-rin:" I always eat too much every time we come over. I have to exercise like crazy the next day."

So-Young: " If you complement her any more, she is going to adopt you all."

Min-ji: " that is what we are aiming for!"

Dad: "Wow... I have 5 daughters now!"

Mom: "you all are always welcome here."

Taetae: " wah..."*giggle*

The girls all retuned to the apartment with smiles in their faces. They felt closer than ever.. like sisters who always got each other's backs.
