2 A Second Chance

*time skip 10 months*

While listening to people around her, Tia came to know that she was born in South Korea back in the past. It was in the time that K-pop had not yet been popular. She was born on 31st October 1994. Most artists were solo performers and only a few idol groups like Seo Taiji had debuted.

Tia had come to terms with her being a baby again, and by listening to the conversations between the people around her, she was a girl. luckily! It would have been so weird being born into a boy's body after living like a female for 20 years. In her past life, she was an orphan by the name of Trisha Pathak or Tia for short. Her parents passed away when she was very young and she was brought up by her aunt and uncle. Thought both of them did not mistreat her, they never loved her either. She had discovered K-pop during the time she was living with them and was attracted to the heartfelt lyrics and meaningful melodies. She fell in love with Korean culture and started watching k-dramas and it eventually spread to mandarin and Japanese too. Watching all of this was able to fill her heart up-the heart which lacked love. By the time she was 15, she had learned Korean,Mandarin and Japanese after going through some online courses.

A child genius was what she was. She was able to do cover the whole of high school when she was in middle school. But she never told anyone about it. She was introverted and did not like causing trouble. She passed high school with good grades and applied to one of the top engineering colleges and got a full scholarship. But sadly her life ended too soon.

Tia thought to herself that she would not become some engineer or doctor. She would do the the one thing she dreamed of as a child-becoming a k-pop star. Luckily she was born in Korea and could fulfil her dreams. She was inspired by the k-pop groups and aspired to be like them. But the job in India was not stable. It was a big risk to be a singer. Thus, Tia had to lock away her deepest desires away and focus on engineering.

But now, things were different. She had the past knowledge of the industry and would be able to mingle with the people she admired. Tia was excited by this thought.

"So-Young" a soft voice called out to her. It was her mother - Kim Min-Hee. She was an extremely beautiful person. Warm-hearted, kind and loving. For Tia - now Kim So-Young - she meant everything along with her father - Kim Myung-Soo. They gave her all the love she missed in her past life. Both her parents were good-looking. It made her wonder what she would look like in the future.

"Yesh Mommy" So-Young replied in her baby voice which made her look all the more adorable. With a tender face, button nose and round eyes, she looked like a doll. Her hair was secured with a pink clip that added to her charm.

"What are you thinking about?" Her mother asked. "I was thinkwing about mommy and papa." Replied So-Young while sporting a big grin. Her mother couldn't stand her cuteness and scooped her up in her arms and hugged her tightly. She sighed "You are so cute! What am I going to do with you?" Right at that moment her father walked in. "Don't leave me out of this family moment." A deep voice came from the other end of the living room. A tall man with dark hair walked in with big strides and hugged both of them. "PAPA!!!" So-Young's delighted voice rang out and soon the three of them started laughing.

The family of three moved into the kitchen where they were cooking together. Though they were not extremely rich, they had enough money to live comfortably. Soon, dinner was over and So-Young's father carried her up and said "It's bedtime now, I'll tuck you in." They brushed their teeth together while singing their favourite songs. He carried her into bed and kissed her on the forehead. "Goodnight my princess." He whispered to her. "Goodnwight Papa. " she drowsily said.

Kim Myung-Soo then gently closed her door and went outside. So-Young heard the door click and opened her eyes. She wasn't really feeling sleepy. She was thinking about her future plans. ' I already know what is going to be taught for the first 12 years of my education. India and Korea have similar education systems. So what should I do? Should I join dance lessons? Mmm... that's a good idea. It would be of help when I go for auditions too. So it's decided. I will join dance lessons and pick up an instrument ... violin? No.. too hard. What about guitar.. I already know how to play it. So let's learn the keyboard. Let's join so taekwondo classes too. '

So-Young was really excited about her new life. She wanted to live her life to the fullest.
