8 8 Maito Gai
Early in the morning a young boy ran around the village. This was of course, Shigeo Murakami who was trying to condition his body.
He was currently deep in thought as he ran. 'I'm the top student in my class right now and I'm leagues ahead. I heard the teachers are thinking to transfer me to another more advanced class' Shigeo thought.
'I don't need anything else other than to try and create my taijutsu style, though I know the basic of what the styles focus on I'm not that knowledgeable on how to do them. I'll need to find a suitable taijutsu instructor' He thought.
But suddenly just as he was in deep thought he was interrupted by a loud shout. "YOUTH!!!"
Turning around he saw a man of about the age of 22-23 with a bowl cut and bushy eyebrows as he sported a green spandex. The man then sped up and was soon running beside him. "WELL HELLO THERE MY FELLOW YOUTHFUL RESIDENT!!! I'M MOVED TO SEE SUCH A YOUNG BOY LIKE YOURSELF EMBRACING THE FOUNTAINS OF YOUTH!!!!"
Shigeo was suddenly alarmed by the man and tripped.

"SORRY MY MOST YOUTHFUL FRIEND, I DIDN'T MEAN TO STARTLE YOU!!" The man said to Shigeo as he helped him up.
"No, it was my bad mister, I was deep in thought" Shigeo said as he rubbed his head that had a massive bump.
"Oh, What would have you so deep in thought that you couldn't focus?" The man said intrigued.
"Well mister, I'm a civilian but I'm currently in the top of my class. Though I only know the basic academy taijutsu style and I was thinking of creating my own style. I have the general idea though I am not an expert in taijutsu" Shigeo said.
"Oh my GOODNESS!!! HOW YOUTHFUL!!!" The man said as he suddenly burst into tears. "I CAN'T BELIEVE OF HOW YOUTHFUL YOU ARE!!!
"Uh thanks I guess? By the way the name's Shigeo Murakami mister" Shigeo said as he introduced himself.
"HAHA! ITS NICE TO MEET YOU YOUTHFUL SHIGEO-KUN!" the man said before he introduced himself. "I AM THE HANDSOME AND SUBLIME BLUE BEAST OF KONOHA" The man said as he suddenly gave out a thumbs up pose as his teeth suddenly sparkled "MAITO GAI!"
"IT'S YOUR LUCKY DAY YOUNG SHIGEO, FOR I AM KONOHA'S TAIJUTSU EXPERT!" The man now identified as Gai said.
"...Really?" Shigeo deadpanned.
"WH-WHAT'S WITH THAT LOOK?! I MEAN IT!" Gai said as he looked at the deadpanning face of Shigeo.
"Well anyway young Shigeo, tell me about this taijutsu style you are thinking of making" Gai asked.
"Ah, well for starters I want it to be balanced. Having kicks, punches, as well as palms or (karate)chops, and also grappling." Shigeo said to Gai.
"Hmm, Hmm, well yes that does sound balanced out." Gai said he nodded his head. "So any ideas on what kind of kicks or which kind of grappling you want?"
"Yes actually. I want to incorporate high kicks targeting the head as well as spin kicks and high speed kicks. I also want to include elbow blows to it and as for grappling I don't have any specifics. Just a way to subdue an armed or unarmed enemy" Shigeo said
"Oh my... this, you really got it all planned out huh young Shigeo" Maito Gai siad.
"That's right" Shigeo said
"This brings a tear to my eyes. THIS IS YOUTH!!!" Gai said as he yell at the sky before he turned to Shigeo and did a nice guy pose and gave him a thumbs up.
"I'VE DECIDED YOUNG SHIGEO, THAT I WOULD HELP YOU MAKE THIS TAIJUSTU STYLE OF YOURS!!" Gai said.
"...thanks" Shigeo said as he appraised Gai.

{a/n: before anyone flames me and say Gai should have mastered the eight gates to the Master level already I wanted to say that this is before the start of the Naruto pilot episode. And even then he still hadn't mastered the eight gates because in Shippuden he stated that he still couldn't open the 7th gate for too long when he fought against Kisame}
'Woah! He's powerful' Shigeo said as he saw the physical stats Gai had. But then he got confused because of how low Gai had of Chakra. Not only that, Gai didn't seem to know much elemental jutsu's because all it showed was 'basic'. He was purely a taijutsu user.
'That's weird' Shigeo thought before he asked Gai. " Erm, Gai-san. Do you know any cool jutsu's?"
Hearing that Gai looked at Shigeo before he yelled out to the sky "AAAAHHHH!!!!" and then slumped down in defeat.
"Ah, I'm sorry young Shigeo but I'm bad at ninjutsu. I can only teach you taijutsu" Gai said in a low voice.
"Ah, that's okay Gai-san. That's all I need anyway, I was just curious since you seem strong. What is you ninja rank if you don't mind me asking?" Shigeo asked
Just like that Gai seemed to once again burn with passion as he stated " AH, YOUNG SHIGEO LET ME TELL OF YOU MY TALE. I WAS ONCE TOLD THAT I COULDN'T BECOME A NINJA BECAUSE OF MY POOR TALENT ON BOTH NIN AND GENJUTSU" Gai started off as he cried tears.
"BUT THEN THROUGH HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION, I MADE UP FOR IT WITH PURELY MY TAIJUTSU. NOT ONLY DID I BECOME A GENIN, I EVEN MADE IT TO CHUNIN AND THEN EVENTUALLY BECAME A JONIN!!!" Gai yelled out before he turned to Shigeo and gave him a smile and a thumbs up.
"DON'T WORRY IF YOU TRAIN HARD ENOUGH YOU CAN DO IT TOO!" Gai said
"Ugh, Right so can we start now then?" Shigeo asked. Now knowing that Gai was a jonin plus the monstrous stats he saw he was eager to complete his taijutsu style.
"VERY WELL YOUNG SHIGEO LET ME TAKE YOU TO THE TRAINING GROUNDS!" Gai yelled as he led Shigeo to one of the many training grounds.

"Alright, young Shigeo this is training grounds 3. It used to be the training ground of my genin team but since they all became chunin, the team was disbanded." Gai said.
"Alright Gai-san!" Shigeo said.
"Tell me young Shigeo. When are you free? We can schedule when we could train, and I might sometimes be away on missions as well" Gai told Shigeo who nodded because he knew the higher the rank of the ninja the more dangerous the missions was.
"I'm free from after lunch to the afternoon Gai-san" Shigeo said as Gai nodded.
"Alright, I don't have any missions right now so I'll meet you here after lunch for the next week until I get a mission and help you with your taijutsu." Gai said
"Yes thank you Gai-san!" Shigeo said.
The next week, Shigeo went and tried to develop his [Balanced Fist Style] taijutsu as he enjoyed his springtime of youth.
