26 26 - Weapon of Choice

"Alright come in" Hibiki said as he entered the tent.

The tent wasn't huge, just enough for one person as the ninja's didn't really need to sleep in tents. Although it was only big enough for one person, it could at least accommodate two people who were sitting on the ground.

Hibiki sat on the lotus position as he opened up a scroll before injecting some chakra into it.

*Poof!*

After a cloud of smoke various weapons laid on the ground in front of them. To special Kunai's and Daggers to Sickles and swords.

"Well boy, what do you think? All of them are all chakra conductive" Hibiki said as he smiled at Shigeo who looked at the weapons with an analyzing gaze.

"Do you have any preferences ?" Hibiki asked as it would be smoother than just waiting for the boy to decide.

"Yeah, I wanted a blade though I can't decide whether or not to go with a tanto or ninjato" Shigeo answered honestly.

He looked in front of him and instantly discarded weapons like num-chuks or staff and spears. Those were more suited for Lee or Tenten. He looked at all the other bladed weapons ranging from kunai's to swords and had to admit they were indeed better quality than the one from Jin's store.

"Well that makes things easier" Hibiki said as he sealed up all the weapons that were not blades.

"Can you just show me your best weapons. I don't care how expensive they are" Shigeo said seriously as Hibiki sighed and sealed up his lower quality weapons.

Now all that remained were 4 weapons well five actually but it didn't count since one was a set.

Shigeo analyzed the items. Two of them were long bladed weapons while the other three were short blades. The first two were a Katana and Ninjato respectively. The katana was forged by a well known smith that made a weapon for Mifune who then used it to win a battle against Hanzo the Salamander.

For the sword, it was just a high quality weapon made from chakra metal. Though it had some seals etched onto them to make the blade never stained with blood and never dull. The same could be said for the tanto.

What really caught his eye was a pair of twin wakazashi. They were practically perfect for him as the short swords not only came as a pair but they strengthened lightning and water ninjutsu when using the respective chakra nature to coat the blades. The one that had a white blade with a tiger etched to the blade was called Byakko. While The other was a black blade with a shade of blue along with an etching of a turtle intertwined with a snake was called Genbu.

Not to mention it also had seals placed on them similar to the others, the twin swords also had an extra seal placed onto them. They were both bonded together, when you throw one it would come back as long as you had the other. It was to show the unending rivalry between the two Legendary beasts their names take after.

'Holy shi- these remind me of the twin blades from the fate series. Kanshou and Bakuya was it?' Shigeo thought as he gazed at the twin short swords.

"These ones, I'll take them" He said without a moments hesitation. Why would you only want one sword if you can dual wield? Besides, he always did like the assassin class in rgp's... not to mention he actually is an assassin now.

"Ah Genbu and Byakko, great choice. The total would be 120,000 ryo" Hibiki said with a smile on his face. Though to Shigeo it was the smile of a money grubbing devil.

"120,000?! But you said the other three were only 80,000!" Shigeo said making Hibiki smile.

"Oh did I say that? I apologize, then by going with your logic then it should be 160,000 correct? After all both swords are similar quality if not better than the other three." The merchant said with a smile.

"..."

"... I'll take them then" Shigeo said after a sigh. 'It's just 120,000 Shigeo! You can get it back in a month or two...' He consoled himself taking out a storage scroll and grabbing his money.

"Splendid" Hibiki said as he took the stack of notes from Shigeo's hands and counted it to make sure it was the right price. After confirming the price he nodded and gave Shigeo the blades.

"Alright boy, now run along" Hibiki said as he shooed the genin away.

Shigeo nodded as he left with his new blade with him.

It was already dark and their client along with his team members were asleep. It was his turn to keep watch as he sat on the branch of a tree eating beef jerky.

He had already confirmed that there were no danger in the surroundings via observation haki. He could only detect 300 meters without the help of his lightning-human ability, but combining gave him such a significant boost.

With the help of his lightning-human abilities his senses expanded to a five mile radius. It helped that they were in the middle of nowhere so he wasn't bombarded with the sounds of thousands of people. The only thing he could hear in the night were the breathing of his team, along with crickets and insects followed by the sound of running water from a river a few miles away.

He nodded and took back his observation haki and began eating once again knowing there were no danger.

In his other hand, held an unsheathed Genbu on his hand as he gazed at the blade. He couldn't help but whistle at the quality of said weapon. The moonlight reflected on his blade making it look glowing.

He coated the Blade with haki, he saw as the blade slowly got darker removing its blue tints replacing the whole blade in a dark gray colour. He also added water chakra nature onto the blade making it glow a little before he swung it with a horizontal strike.

Visibly he saw an ark of distorted space which he immediately knew was air head of to the direction he swing it at. It traveled about 20-30 meters before dispersing, though before it dispersed it hit the top of a smaller tree cleanly cutting the top of it making for a bizarre sight. It reminded him of a trimmed bush that rich people used to decorate their mansion.

Still he was impressed at the sharpness of the blade. He retracted his armament haki and chakra from the blade reverting it back to it's blackish blue tint.

He could only laugh in delight with his new weapons.
