13 13 Developments
Shigeo's new apartment was indeed small, but considering that he was living by himself it was enough for him.
It was a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment while the living room and kitchen were connected. It was also in good condition and not too far from the academy. Overall he was satisfied with the results.
He also had already informed the orphanage of his transfer. The matron was surprised but left it be considering Shigeo bothered to get close to anyone in the orphanage. She thought it would be better this way as he congratulated him for getting an apartment and told Shigeo to take care of himself.
Shigeo of course nodded as he knew the matron took her job seriously and actually cared for the orphaned kids even himself included. It was actually quite surprising that she still treating him the same after she saw him hanging out with Naruto. Maybe she realized that Naruto was not really responsible for the Kyuubi attack but just needed a scapegoat to point the blame and her anger toward.
Well not that he cared anymore since he would no longer be living under the care of the orphanage.

'I am no longer shackled by the orphanage' Shigeo thought to himself.
He could now go out whenever he wanted. This meant that he could now up his training time, but now since he didn't have a curfew he could train for as long as he wanted.
There were also a few things that had happened the past few weeks. He had suddenly gotten knowledge on how to perform Seimei Kikan, another technique from the Rokushiki albeit not combat related.
It was still a useful ability as allowing one to control their body functions has huge advantages. He could use it to get rid of the unnecessary fat in his body and turn his body full compact muscle. Much like turning one's body muscle all into pink muscle from Kenichi the mightiest disciple. He wanted his body to be built for speed but also power, since what was the use of speed if you could get knocked out in a single hit.
Though the process to compress the muscles would be painfully slow. He would have to keep eating a lot to make fat, then turn those fat into muscle, before further compressing it. It was a process to create a really dense but compact muscle though it would take years.
{a/n: Shiit idk can you do that with Seimei kikan? Cuz the ability isn't that explained and just says that it controls the bodily functions. Well whatever this is my version of seimei kikan}
The other thing he was working on now was focusing on being a sensor type ninja. Since he had Observation Haki he was pretty much a natural sensor. After all it could not only sense the strength and presence of those around him but also detect the emotions of others.

His range with his Observation Haki could now reach to 50 meters and he could also further enhance it with the power of his ability as a lightning human to reach the whole Village, but he would rather not want to be able to not only sense all the tens of thousands of emotions of those living in the village but hear their conversation as well via electromagnetic waves.
The first time he had done so he remembered getting such a heavy headache from all the voices he heard all at once not to mention feeling different kinds of emotions all at once.
This was why he would rather stick to his base range with his Observation Haki and not enhance it with his powers of the goro goro no mi. That didn't mean that he didn't try to master it though. He was right now training tk withstand the mental strain of sensing the emotions of everyone in the village and hearing their conversation.
After all, no matter how flawed it is, being able to sense that far is quite a useful ability. It's just he would prefer normal Observation haki since it doesn't allow him to hear the voices.

In training ground three both Shigeo and Gai stood a few meters apart before they moved forward and started a taijutsu bout.
Thought it was mostly Shigeo attacking as Gai defended.
Shigeo kept continuous high kicks targeting Gai's head as well as spin kicks, tp which Gai just blocked with his arms.
Seeing as that wasn't working Shigeo did a backflip before he dashed and started throwing punches and jabs. He threw a punch to which Gai tilted his head. Seeing that he missed Shigeo grinned as he suddenly used geppo to make a foothold on the air as he wasn't as tall as Gai, and for him to try to punch his face he had to jump. Using that foothold he quickly spun and switched to an elbow attack.
Seeing Shigeo suddenly switch mid air had utterly confused Gai as he got hit with the elbow blow on his cheek sending him flying. Though the next second he got back up not even looking injured. he was after all a jonin who specialized in taijutsu, his physical body was not to be underestimated. Besides Shigeo only had the strength of an above average genin, plus he wasn't using armament haki.
"Wonderful attack Shigeo. This is your power of YOUTH!" Gai said as he gave him thumbs up.
"Thank you Gai-sensei! I wouldn't have developed this style without you" Shigeo said as he nodded towards Gai.
"You are not going to use any grappling moves on me?" Gai asked as he wondered why Shigeo didn't do them.
"I have learned more than once that trying to grapple someone twice your height and several levels above you in strength is not a good move" He said gaining a laugh from Gai.
"Indeed! So you finally learned!" Gai said because before, Shigeo would always try to grapple him thinking it was a quick win.
"Then let's finish this Shigeo!" Gai said as he dashed to Shigeo.
"Yes Gai-sensei!"

"Haah Haah! Another loss for me" Shigeo said as he caught his breath. He was currently on the ground as he stared at the clouds.
While not that far away from him, Gai who didn't even break a sweat began nodding as he told Shigeo.
"Well Shigeo, you are getting better. Especially that taijutsu style you have, it is quite unpredictable and would be effective against enemies. Keep it up!" Gai said giving him a thumbs up.
"Thanks Gai sensei. By the way can I ask you something?" Shigeo asked.
"Sure what is it Shigeo?" Gai said as he walked towards his pseudo apprentice.
"Can you buy me chakra paper. I can't since I'm still an academy student, I will provide the money. Oh and also some training weights!" Shigeo asked.
"Chakra paper? Training Weights?" Gai said in confusion as Shigeo explained.
"I want to start practicing ninjutsu and I want to learn my chakra natures while I want to buy weights so I could always be training." Shigeo said as Gai nodded in understanding as his eyes teared up.
"Ah, I see how youthful! To think you are thinking of even more training Shigeo! This is good unlike me you don't have to limit yourself with just taijutsu, and don't worry not only will I buy you what you asked for. I'll even pay for it as well as up my training regiment!" Gai said.
"Uh... thanks. Though you don't have to up your trainin-" Shige said as he was cut off.
"NO! You are working so hard how could I fall behind?" Gai said as a fire lit in his eyes " I"LL EMBRACE MY SPRINGTIME OF YOUTH TO THE MAXIMUM!!!"
