12 12 Meeting the 3rd Hokage

Soon, in the hokage's office. In a sudden gust of wind, the white haired anbu along with Shigeo appeared in the middle of the room.

The anbu then kneeled down as Shigeo stabilized himself before he turned to look at the old man in robes in front of him. He also spotted Shikaku who just gave him a lazy wave before he left the room.

"Lord Hokage, you wanted to meet me?" Shigeo said respectfully as he bowed to the elder in front of him.

"That's right." The elder nodded before he dismissed the anbu, who flickered out. Though, using his observation haki, Shigeo found that the anbu along with a few others were still near them.

'Well, it's their job. I guess' Shigeo thought.

"No need to bow to me Shigeo-kun. I brought you here today for a talk" Hiruzen said as he studied the boy in front of him. Though he was shocked at how calm and composed the boy was. 'His bearings and temperament are similar to Itachi's. Not to mention, that he too is a genius. I must not let anything happen to this child, he will be one of the future pillars of the village' The third thought.

Nodding, Shigeo raised his head as he looked at the hokage in front of him. He did not let the short and frail appearance of the old man in front of him fool him. For the man in front of him was supposedly the strongest out of the five kage though he was indeed old now, he was still easily one of the strongest.

Looking at the old man in front of him, Shigeo couldn't help but look at his status.

Looking at the third hokage's status, Shigeo had to suppress the urge to widen his eyes and open his mouth. 'This... his physical status is almost twice of Gai-san's status' He thought to himself.

"You wanted to speak to me about something lord hokage?" Shigeo said as he calmed himself.

Nodding, Hiruzen began to speak. "You have done a wonderful deed reporting the mistreatment of a fellow classmate in the academy. It's suppose to be a place where the teachers nurture them not purposely push them down. For that you have my thanks"

'He made it sound as if he was talking about the children as a whole and not just Naruto. How clever of him' Shigeo thought. If he hadn't had prior knowledge of how close Naruto and the third hokage was, he might have also thought of such.

"It was nothing lord hokage. I am actually good friends with the person in question, since I transferred to the advanced class I observed that most of the teachers had purposely given him faulty tools. I thought it was just for that one day, but it wasn't. The teachers did not even bother to hide it, from my guess they should have been treating him since our first year" Shigeo said.

"I see" The third hokage said as he nodded. "No need to worry, I am having all the teachers not doing their jobs dealt with. As for why I called you here, I thought it would be appropriate to reward you. So long as it's not too much to ask, I can grant you it." Hiruzen said.

Shigeo faked his surprise as he widened his eyes before he hurriedly said "What? There is no need for that lord hokage!"

"I was only doing my part as a friend and responsible citizen of the leaf" Shigeo said

"Nonsense, please it's the least I could do" The third said. But at the same time he was getting more and more impressed of the boy in front of him. 'Indeed, what a responsible child. I have no problems with him being friends with Naruto. With him along with the other two clan heirs, I hope Naruto shouldn't be too lonely' He thought.

"*sigh* Very well then lord hokage. There is one thing that I want right now" Shigeo said as the third hokage raised a brow.

"Oh and what would that be?" The third asked.

"Would it be alright for me to get an apartment. I would much rather be comfortable by myself rather than in the orphanage" Shigeo said. 'This is pretty good. After all I'm not asking for anything over the top like a jutsu or weapon. It would show that I'm not too greedy.'

"Oh..." Hiruzen said as he tried to think of why a young boy would want to move out. After all he doesn't know Shigeo was internally a teen, what kind of child would want to leave a place where you were taken care of, had kids of the same age to play with, and a place to sleep.

'Unless befriending Naruto had now implicated him' Hiruzen thought. He had very well known of the fact that Naruto was disliked and kicked out of the orphanage. He thought that maybe Shigeo was now also being harassed and treated poorly in the orphanage.

"Very well then... I will allow you to move out. I shall also pay for your apartment until you yourself become a genin or get a stable job" Hiruzen said.

"Thank you Lord Hokage" Shigeo bowed. He had really wanted to get his own apartment years ago. He had been saving up his monthly allowance that all orphans were given for the past 3 years but he didn't think he would get a bonus of also having it be paid by the hokage until he was a genin.

This changed everything, as he didn't need to use his own money for rent. It meant he had more money for his resources.

"Alright, there is one place I know of where there might be a vacant apartment. Although it's small, it is more than enough for just one person" Hiruzen said as he called an anbu.

"Do you need to pack your things from the orphanage?" The third asked as Shigeo shook his head.

"I have my belongings with me at all times" Shigeo said as he took out a storage scroll. Inside his storage scroll was more storage scrolls separating all his belongings from clothing, tools, and money.

"I see, then my anbu will take you to your apartment" Hiruzen said as he sighed. He had come to the conclusion that Shigeo kept his belongings in storage scroll to prevent it being vandalized from the people in the orphanage.

"You are dismissed. Inu take him to his new apartment and tell the landlord of this" Hiruzen ordered.

"Yes Lord Hokage" The anbu said as he flickered while taking Shigeo with him.

As soon as they left he called onto more anbu as he ordered "Keep an eye on Danzo! Make sure to report to me if he even so much as look for files on Shigeo Murakami!"

"Yes Lord Hokage!"

'I won't let you ruin anymore Geniuses, Danzo!' The third thought

a/n: Aight idk if the interaction of mc and hiruzen was any good. Kinda rushed a little writing this but anyway the 3rd has a misunderstanding that by being friends with Naruto he thinks Shigeo is also being treated poorly in the orphanage.

Though he won't bother to confirm it because he knows fully well on how the citizens treat Naruto.
