Suffocation from fear

"Look's like you have gained a lot in this journey, Kai." mom said with a smile as we left the city walls with the other wagons.

"Yes son your mom is right it's really hard to make friends in a city since they think we are not worthy of their place but you have made two in a single day of our stay and on top of it both of them are girls one from the strongest clan while the other is from an unknown origin but since you say she is more beautiful than the other that can only mean this Yue girl is also from a great background as well." dad explained with a smile as we continue our journey towards home.

"Yes Kai you need to be nice to them and maybe one of the two can also become my daughter in law and then we won't have to marry you to the other villages." my mom says with a smile as she looks at me with a serious tone.

"Mom we are only twelve." I complained to her with disbelief and it's not if they will like me or I will like them but it's about their age, it's undeniably true both of them are the cute girls I have ever seen in both of my life, however, to me they are still little kids and I am not going to have interest in them besides my primary priority is to become stronger rather then to chasing after girls since I am very clear about the danger in this world when I am not sure of the safety of my current family I will only be stupid if I were to think about extending my family farther.

"Yes Kai leaving it on time is the best decision but when we visit the city next time don't forget about reminding me to cook some cakes for the girls since they want to eat them cooking I think it's best to let them test the specialty of our village." mom reminded me with a smile as she also didn't push me any harder maybe she has also understood dads reasoning and I am glad she did.

By the time the sun has reached over our head and it was getting rather hot (well that's only for me but my parents are fine because of their cultivation) someone from the front wagons shouts out with a serious tone "Prepare for defense a beast horde is moving toward our direction at a rapid speed!"

Hearing the shot I became very tensed when my mother puts her head out from the shelter of the wagon before shouting "Which level is the ruler of the beasts?"

"It's a Thunderbolt Wolf from the 5th stage of the Nascent Profound Realm!" came a serious tone from the Wagon right in front of us and the moment I put my head out just to find my father already standing on the ground and looking at the direction of the beasts with a serious face while my mom slaps at the back of the head before saying with a serious tone "Don't put your head out and remember to not get out of the Wagon no matter what happens!"

"Yes, son you have yet to begin your cultivation so it will only be a hindrance for us if you get attacked when you can't fight back." says dad with a serious face as he looks at me with a serious face before he turns his head toward the beasts.

"I know." with a face as if a bug has entered my mouth I quickly enter the Wagon before closing its door and I hope nothing bad happens even though we did get attached by the Profound beasts while going to the city but it wasn't this big.

"Do you think we can make it out safe?" while holding my thoughts I heard my mom whispering.

"I am not sure but the Su villages village leader is also in with us and he is a 4th Stage of the Nascent Profound Realm and it might not be impossible for us to kill the leader of this beast horde but the main problem is going to be the other beasts that are with it.

Even if there are only two other Nascent Profound Realm beasts from the 1st stage, however, there are more than 39 beasts from the lower to the middle strange of elementary profound beasts." dad says with uncertainty and I can feel the tension in the air getting higher than ever the closer the profound beasts gets.

"Let's hope, working with our profound beasts we can defeat this horde." mom says with a serious tone when an angry cry if a wolf gets inside my ear and the next moment I can also hear all 40 beasts in our group of wagon also cry out to warn that beast horde.

"Defend with everything you have and don't hold back!" came an angry shout as I can hear the sound of battle from outside of the Wagon and by the time I felt like chocking is the moment I understood from the moment the battle began I had unknowingly stopped breathing in fear.
