1 Chapter 1 Shina
"SHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"A little boy yelled from the background as footsteps were heard from the other side of the room
"shina!!!!!"
"stop yelling.... I'm not deaf"
she said coldly
"shina, be nice" a man said who was sitting at the end of the dining table
"oh Richard, give the girl a break" an elderly woman said smiling at the young teenager who had taken a sit beside the empty seat. the seat she sat beside used to be her mother's . she remembered when she and her mom played on the dinner, and crack jokes and....
"so shina...are you ready for the new semester?"Mr Richard said eagerly to know as he smiled softly
"what do you think?" she said rolling her eyes
"shina! don't speak to your father that way!!" Aunt Sofia said glaring at her "you must learn to be polite! especially to your elders"
"then why don't you teach me?"she shot back
"your mother should have done better than spoil you this way!"
suddenly the table got slammed..hard
"what did you say about my mother?" this time shina had gotten up from the chair she was sitting. everywhere was suddenly filled with silence
"if you don't know anything about my mother don't say anything about my mother!"she walked away angrily slamming the door behind her leaving a loud thud.
Shina grew up to know that she once had two loving parents who equally loved each other, Richard and Elena. but when her mom died and her father remarried it felt like it was only her and Grandma Maggie who still loved and remembered her mom. now her dad married to a woman Olivia who had a son... Mike.....
"what happened ? where's shina?"Mrs Olivia asked looking around she came out of the kitchen wearing an apron
"I ..I don't know what to do anymore Olivia . she's just too stubborn" Richard said rubbing his face on his palm
"don't worry I'll get her down"Olivia said smiling
"someone needs to talk some sense into her" aunt Sofia said eating her salad
there was a slight knock on a pink wooden door which had a card board paper pasted across the top of the door stating 'STAY AWAY'
Olivia knocked again and opened it "shina"she called softly "are you in ?"
she saw the girl who had grabbed her school bag and had totally ignored her
"aren't you having breakfast?"
"....no need to worry about me Olivia" she said sharply
Olivia had been waiting for the day shina would call her 'mom'
"i just thought...."
"just thought what?!"shina asked glaring and balling her fist. Olivia inhaled sharply and looked at her
"shina..... "
"what?!"
"Shina...you've become so rude lately, especially to your father. he loves you very much but you take it all for granted"
' for granted ' shina looked at her and fixed her gaze in an intense way
" oh I'm sorry if I am rude to your precious husband, but for your information Olivia, everything was perfect until you stepped into this house, this family and into my life, you destroyed everything! so don't go preaching to me about me being rude! "
Olivia looked displeased as she stared too
"shina I am your mother..."
"stepmother" shina corrected looking at her intensely. hearing no further response as she could see that Olivia was still going through the block buster , shina walked out of the room and grabbed her school bag. walking down the stairs she could see all the eyes that followed her
"good bye granny"she kissed her grandmother's cheeks
"alright. you take care honey" Maggie said patting her head as shina walked towards the door about walking out
"shina wait!" Mike called.
she groaned looking back "I made you breakfast ! you can have it on your way" he smiled running to her. he flashed his two broken tooth and giggled "it's noodles"
shina rolled her eyes and took it riding on her bike. on her way she dumped the lunch into the waste bin.
