4 Academy Time

"Hello there! May I sit next to you?", a chubby boy said while sitting next to me.

Naturally, I recognized him immediately: He was Choji, a young fat boy with a kind heart. Because in the end, a kind heart is all he had. I knew from canon that I would be teamed up with him and the annoying Ino, as the trio of clan heads had showed tremendous success in the past. The Hokage and clan heads wanted to recreate this team.

I made a fake friendly smile, and muttered: "Yes sure!"

It was no secret that Choji did not have an easy childhood. Whenever the other boys played at hide and seek, no one wanted Choji in their team, because he was fat, anything but discreet, and definitely slow. I wasn't one to discriminate others based on weight, so he enjoyed my presence

The academy mentor started to talk about jutsu and genjutsu, but all of it was basic knowledge that was not very interesting. Most of it was small talk about basic survival knowledge. I listened still, since there might be a piece of useful information, but it was struggle not to fall asleep.

Whenever there were breaks, I would monitor the stats of my fellow classmates.

My stats were definitely above average. I guessed that it had to do with me being the Nara heir, with superior genetics. Besides my physical stats that I was grinding by working out daily and completing missions, my shuriken Mastery was already above average, definitely at a genin-level. As for ninjutsu, I already mastered the body flicker jutsu, basic clone jutsu, and transformation no jutsu that were necessary to graduate from this forsaken academy.

However, the true reason why I was confident in being the strongest in the class was my recent addition of ninjutsu: Shuriken Clone Jutsu, which allowed me to multiply one shuriken into 15 of them. This was an extraordinary jutsu in my opinion, since most genins would not be able to block or dodge so many shurikens.

Unfortunately, the only limiting factor was my low chakra reserves. I guess it would increase as I grow, but I knew that I would never be satisfied with above average chakra reserves. My plan was to ultimately become a jinchuriki, but this was easier said than done.

Later in the day, school finished, and I spent an hour and a half throwing shurikens. Something amazing happened.

'As expected, each skill has milestone unique to it. Chess only gave me the visualisation bonus upon reaching 100 points of proficiency, but I guess combat-related skills show bonuses much earlier...', I thought to myself.

Without further due, I opened the skill window tree, and I was amazed.

Throwing shurikens faster meant that I had a higher chance to hit the target. I could not ask for a better bonus...

What would happen if I reached 100 points of proficiency? Or even, let's say, 200 points of proficiency? Not only would my shuriken be much more lethal than average ones, I would also receive amazing bonuses.

Weapon specialists were not very popular. After all, the likes of Tenten were not very strong in comparison to Naruto, Neiji, Hinata or Sasuke who possessed amazing Jutsu and an arsenal of skill that could easily block weapons.

However, if I combined stealth, weapon mastery, and my ability to control shadows...I could most likely become one of the best shinobi in Konoha! The fancy ninjutsu would come later on.

The very next day, however, my dreams crumbled.

I thought I would be able to reach the master stage realm in shuriken mastery by grinding my throwing skills, but to my surprise, the [One Thousand A Day Mission] was no longer given to me.

How was I supposed to raise my skills then? If I relied on training, it would take years!!!!
