1 Just an Ordinary Day!

It was just an ordinary day in Shiftersville when I suddenly saw a crowd of people standing around and shouting. I walked over to see what was going on, It was Gerri, he was telling people about some old school located in the next town over. It was called "Shifters Elite Academy". I heard some rumors about how some people haven't even made it out alive while entering the tournament, and only the strongest will be accepted in that school. I had absolutely no interest... or so I thought. Anyways, my name is Tora Mimiko, others just call me Mimi. I am 14 years old, I am a dog shifter, and my father is my sensei, he teaches me all different types of fighting skills. I only train myself for fun because I have no idea on what else I should do with my life, it's just so boring here, so that's how I spend time. I continued to walk past the crowd and down the dirt road until I made it home. I lived in a poorish village, but everyone was still happy, so it made it more lively than sad. I walked onto the porch and entered the front door, and shut the door behind me.

"Hey dad, I'm home, I ran 5 miles like you said." I said with a smile.

"Alright, I'm just about finished with dinner, we're having pork stew and rice." he said while turning off the stove.

"Okay, I'll go wash up first!"

"Okay, hurry so the food doesn't get cold."

"Okay dad!"

I came back after changing into my pajamas and washing up, the table was filled with delicious food and drinks, it was refreshing to eat a good meal after a good workout.

"Hey dad, have you heard about the Elite Academy?" I said curiously.

"Do you mean Shifters Elite Academy my dear? he said surprised.

"Yes! That's the one!"

"Do I know it? Haha, I used to attend that school, it brings back some good ole' memories." He chuckled.

"R-really! What is it like? Is it fun? Can I maybe go?

"Slow down on the questions! It is a fun school indeed, you get to enhance your shifting ability, along with taming a weapon, you battle to be the greatest, and win all different types of prizes, but it is hard to get in the school. If you want to go, you will have to train even more, because there is a mini tournament where F ranks have to go through to be able to actually attend the school. You can sign up, and I will help train you because the tournament is in 3 months. It will probably be one of the hardest 3 months of training in your life. We start tomorrow, so get some sleep!"

"Roger that dad!" I said with nothing but excitement.

Tomorrow is the day I began to train for the tournament, I am so excited, I set my alarm clock for 8am and took out my one of my athletic outfits. I superman jumped into bed, then I fell fast asleep with the excitement for tomorrow.
