"He is the most annoying person I have ever known!"

I'm at Steve's place and I am currently eating his homemade pasta while he was busy checking up my phone.

"The plate is going to break if you keep using too much force from twirling that pasta, Kath."

"I just can't understand him. I asked him what he wanted me to say and he will answer me like, 'my job is to make sure that you are safe and alive'? Seriously, what is wrong with him?"

"I know that you are frustrated but maybe he's just teasing you because you forgot his job? You've known the guy the same as Ollie."

I wonder if he got a bump on his head after I throw the first solid thing I touched on the table which is the picture frame of Ollie and Alexa. He just laughed it off anyway and when I called Ollie using the phone on her office regarding his brother, she just laughed crazily as if she was expecting it to happen. God, they're really siblings!

"I know. I just don't understand why my brain is not cooperating when it comes to that guy."

"Just don't worry about him. Anyway, this phone needs to be replaced. I tried to check if we can transfer some of your data and documents here but I can't guarantee if all of it will be copied."

"Ugh. I like that phone. I have a lot of old photos there."

"I know. Just buy a new one, maybe the same model if you want and then I will do the data transfer. I will try to copy everything. But the records for your medical practice are on your laptop right?"

"Yes. All documents and records regarding my studies are all safe in my desktop. I just have this feeling that some of my personal stuff is on my phone."

"Understood. As I've said, I will try my best to retrieve all of it okay?"

"Sure. I'm done. You are so good with pasta, really. No wonder Guia loves you so much."

"I know right. She told me that her mom wants to compete with me to know which one is better."

"Really? Wow. I wonder if it's going to be easy for you to ask for their permission once you ask her to marry you."

Steve suddenly stopped what he's doing and gave me a look as if I asked him a crazy question. My eyes went big and throw my fork at him.

"Are you kidding me?? Seriously Steve Miguel Jackson!"

"Why? I am not ready. It's a very serious matter, Kath. Guia knows that and she said that she is fine with it."

"Steve, you've been dating for so ages now. We're actually slowly saying goodbye to 20 liners!"

"I know. Look, you are not married yet and Ollie too. You both want to wait right? Men have their right time for that too, Kath."

"Okay fine, I get it. But is it really okay with Guia?"

"Yes. She told me that she wants to fulfill her bucket list first. I have a goal on my mind, as well. We believe that if it's time for us to tie the knot then we will do it."

I just let out a frustrated sighed. I want to ask Guia if she really meant what she said to my stupid cousin. Ollie and I are both aware of how she loves romantic movies and how she dreamt about being a bride. Maybe she changed after being with Steve for so long but still, I have this thought that she just gave an answer Steve wanted to hear.

After washing the plate I used and clean the mess I made, I went home and told Steve that I will buy a new phone after shift tomorrow and will drop by at his place. As always, my apartment is a messy place. My old nanny comes every Friday to do my laundry and clean my place but If I am my week is not busy I will do the chores myself.

I took a quick shower, put my pajamas on, and sit on my bed. I reached for the remote control and watch the Discovery Channel. I felt a sudden pain on my head. It's been a while since I had this kind of migraine. I ran to the bathroom and look for my medicine. It started to become unbearable for me that I can't help but scream and then everything went black all of a sudden.
