40 Coronation: After

Judgmental eyes followed Calluna's powerful form as she walked out of the pavilion. Her head was decorated with the heavy golden crown, her chin tilted downward from the weight. Euros led the way, his own red ceremonial robes dragging softly behind him. Her mind and body both felt sluggish after the last rite, but she trudged through the discomfort.

'I'm nearly done.' She thought to herself in an attempt to keep motivated.

There was going to be a celebration held in the grand hall after the coronation ceremony, but the newly crowned king hardly felt up to attending. She knew it wouldn't begin for another few hours officially, but there was still plenty of preparation to be done beforehand.
