4 Chapter 4 Mia

I could never overstate the happiness I felt when Jeon asked to walk me home after that coffee.

I know it was irresponsible for me to just accept such an offer from someone who was pretty much a stranger to me, but as he stood up and smiled down at me politely, I realised that I didn't need any other reason to agree to his request other than the obvious one.

I couldn't deny that I was totally smitten by him and If by any chance he somehow turned out to be some kind of a Korean version of Jack the ripper, I still wouldn't mind being murdered by someone who was so bloody gorgeous.

As we walked along in silence, I couldn't help but steal a few glances at him just to confirm if he was really native Korean or not.

I know that could totally sound kind of racist to some people, but then again, he was way taller than most Asian men I knew of and he also had this exotic type of attractiveness that had me wondering if he was perhaps mixed with other races or something like that. Not that any of that mattered anyway because he was still beautiful and I was having a difficult time fighting several urges to just stare at him forever.

After we finally got to my place, Bona my flatmate looked totally shocked to see me turn up at our home with a strange man next to me. I knew this because I know how her pretty eyes narrow whenever something catches her by surprise and it really is quite cute, but she quickly recovered and bowed slightly in a simple hello as she politely asked our unusual guest inside for some tea.

Lee Bo na could be an absolute doll whenever she wanted to be, but she could also be very noisy and annoyingly inquisitive sometimes. So I knew better than to believe she only asked our guest inside out of common courtesy. It was more of a way for her to have a better look at him and then bombard me with a hundred questions afterwards about who he was, and where I had met him from. But much to both our disappointments, he politely declined that offer.

He said he only offered to walk me home because he wanted to make sure I was safe which was a pretty lame excuse considering I wasn't in any particular danger to begin with. But I didn't comment on it and just bowed politely to show gratitude to him for getting me home in one piece.

After he left, Bo na swarmed me with a million questions just like I expected she would. The problem was, I found out too late that I didn't know much about him either. I was so happy about that walk that I even fogort to get any contact information and that meant he would forever remain a stranger to me.

I couldn't believe that I just missed an opportunity to know the man whose eyes were so beautiful they could make any heart fly.
