1 Prologue: Her Life

Amethyst Cairo Evergreen

She is the older daughter of the renowned business couple, Topaz and Alexandrite Evergreen who's considered as one of the noble family of 21st Century. She has a younger sister, Ruby Feir Evergreen, who's considered as the more favoured and excellent daughter. Amethyst hated her, since she believes that Ruby stole everything from her-parents, achievements, acknowledgements, fame, excellence etc. so she strived to be better than her younger sister.

Ever since Ruby was born, Amethyst hated her. So she never acted the role of 'Older sister' with her. With only the age gap of 2 years, the comparison cannot be helped. Ruby liked piano, so they both learned it, but only Ruby was acknowledged when they both played their first piece. Ruby wants to learn languages, so Amethyst learned almost 50 languages in 5 years, and Ruby only learned French, but only she was praised by Jade-the boy that Amethyst liked since young. Ruby took interest in painting and calligraphy, so Amethyst practiced until her wrist hurt but their grandma only received Ruby's piece of art at her birthday. Ruby entered the business world, and so did Amethyst, but it only resulted on her getting kicked out of the family.

That's when Amethyst realized that it was not that Ruby was the more talented daughter, It's just that they love Ruby, not her. So whatever she does she can't outshine Ruby, her existence doesn't matter to everyone, especially Jade. She decided to change, she realized that she was too foolish following another people's pathway but it was too late for that, since she only have her rundown apartment and herself to live, feeling empty and lifeless. She had nothing.

One faithful day changed everything. With her allowance that lasts her for a week, she went to the convenience store to buy food. As she was walking down the road, she didn't notice the raging truck that's approaching her, and when she snapped out of her daze, she was already hit by the truck as she was gazing at the person she didn't think that will cry depressingly at her demise-her sister. Ruby hurriedly run in front of the bloodied Amethyst and told her to hold on, but Amethyst only gave her the very first and last sisterly smile she can give at that moment and said, "If I had the chance to live again, I will treat you better."

And she died. Amethyst thought she's already dead but the impossible happened as she opened up her eyes once more, gazing at the familiar place she had lived for 20 years, she was confused. She looked down at her hands, the supposedly thin and ugly hands that she had at her current self was turned into a petite, jade-like smooth hands of a little girl. Then she realized, she changed her room's pink color to white when she was 6 years old, and the room was currently pink.
