109 Let's Go Home

"Darling, do you forgive me?" Zunnie turned to face Alex as she asked him but he did not reply.

Even though he was sleeping, his morning aura was still breathtaking. She gazed at his face before letting her eyes travel down his bare chest. His honeycomb skin looked as if it was sparkling from the sunlight peeking through the blinds. His eyes were closed, and she wondered if he was sleeping.

Since he had not replied, she assumed he had to be.

Zunnie was tempted by the sight before her and traced her fingers over his abs not realizing he was looking down at her.

She then continued speaking and did not stop from exploring his defined front.

"Hmm? I kept the incident with Tami to myself because I never imagined she would cross that line. I am wrong for not telling you. Will you please forgive me, my darling husband? I promise to make you the happiest man alive if you do…"

"Do you like you what you see?" His erotic voice startled her.

"H-Honey, you're awake? Did I wake you?"

"No, I was waiting on you to wake up. What is it were you saying…That you will make me that happiest man alive if I forgive you? How will you do that?"

"Oh, umm I will let you father my children." She smiled.

"I thought me fathering our children was already a done deal. I want more than just that."

"Hm, well I can let you do whatever you want to me and more. How about I listen to you for the rest of my life. I'll become the perfect housewife for you."

"Ha-ha, you're talking my language. But that still isn't enough. However, just this once I will forgive you. Last night was amazing." He kissed her lips then pinched her nose.

Embarrassed by her bravery last night, Zunnie's face flushed.

"You didn't have to mention that."

"Fine, fine, I forgive you, my love. What were you saying yesterday?"

"I wouldn't completely remove Talia from the equation. I know she's your childhood friend, but darling she truly hates me. She was the one who had Tami come to my office that day. I have no idea what she told her I believe we should ask her about her relationship with Tami."

"She hates you that much. It's my fault honey… if I had not led her on all these years when we were younger, she would not have been this attached to me."

"I don't think any of this is your fault. You were doing what your grandparents asked you. She should have simply moved on when you rejected her."

"I had no idea she liked me. I simply thought of it was infatuation, because I helped her when we were children. I promise to have a proper talk with her. As for Tami, she was last spotted in Italy. The same place Talia was a few weeks ago. We lost her, but we most certainly will find her. How about we meet up with Talia and question her?"

"Umm, I honestly don't think she is going say anything to you if I'm there. You can meet up with her and record the conversation as evidence."

"Mhm, okay."

"Oh, Dr. Sean will be here in an hour and you need to go to work. Let's talk later and plan this the right way."

A few mins later, both Alex and Zunnie were fully dressed. They sat at the small table eating breakfast Alex had Zhang bring them.

"Are you staying till Dr. Sean gets here? Darling I know I am well enough to go home. I don't understand why he insists on keeping me here."

Alex chuckled.

"It's not funny. I told you to bribe him, but you didn't." She frowned.

She was oblivious of the fact, that the one responsible for her being here this long was actually him. The handsome man sitting across from her, slowly eating his Frontega Chicken Panini.

"So, will you stay here and try to convince him?" She asked him.

"Mhm…"

Moments later Dr. Sean walked in.

"Mr. Zi, can I see you outside for a moment?" He spoke with Alex after checking her vitals.

'Why does he want to speak with Alex? I'm the patient here.' She pouted looking at their backs.

She had no idea what the spoke about but when they came back she knew they were up to something.

'Were they talking about me? Argh, please sweet God, let him say I can go home!'

She clasped her hands as she waited for them to reach her.

"Good news Mrs. Zi, you're are free to go home later today."

"Ah, is there a reason why I can't go now?" She complained.

"We only have a few more exams and after you can go home to your family." Dr. Sean smiled at her.

As she listened to Dr. Sean, she was joyful because being discharged today meant that she would be returning to her life.

She grinned at Alex and hugged him the moment Dr. Sean left.

"Darling, I'm coming home!" She exclaimed, happy that she was no longer going to see these white walls.

"Mhm, let's go home..."

"Huh...right now? But I thought I had a few more checkups?"

"He was lying, get your things; I have a surprise for you."

"Ahhh, did you really bribe him darling? You're the best."

"Ha-ha, no; but if you don't get your things I will ask him to keep you here..." He joked.

"Alright, alright..." She giggled, then hurriedly left to put her belongings together to go home with her husband to her family and friends.
