3 Ch 3. Link to the Dark Forests

I remember clearly that night I was talking to my father about the story he told me about King Daniel. When a guard came to me and told me that King has summoned my presence immediately. I knew I would have got my answer today but knowing the poor health of King I rushed to the King's chamber where he was lying on his bed. I bowed my head in respect to the King.

The King requested everyone to leave us alone. Then he called me to his bed and told me to go to the dark forest and bring the precious possession of our Kingdom. I was surprised that the King has a relation with dark forest because for all we knew that no human came back alive from there and yet King requested me to get the precious possession of our Kingdom from there so that implied he had been there.

He sadly smiled when he saw my expression and said " Alex I know you are surprised for no one knows I am related to those dark forest. But all I can say is your questions will be answered in time. But haste you must so you can reach the hidden castle which holds my possession and bring it here as soon as possible" Saying this King breath his last with holding my hands with the promise that I shall do what he desired.

I arranged for the funeral of my King and asked my trusted Warrior Losho to take over the command of the army and take care of the Kingdom while I go to meet my King's last wishes.

I set up my horse Alfeo and prepared myself for the dangerous Journey to the dark forest. When I told my friend Dexter that I am going towards dark forest. He tried stopping me for he was the only one who really cared for me beside my father. I bade farewell to both of them and started my Journey towards the dark forest. The day I landed in this forest, I was warned by a deep husky voice to retrace my steps to my kingdom. But for a warrior warnings are nothing but provoking to do what was told not to be done.

To them it was a way to prove their worth. I was the one of them, who always loved challenges. The warriors embrace the dangers so they could win over them. So I ignored the voice and I heard it sigh at my stubbornness. I moved on to my destination, for I had to keep my promises.

I ventured further in to the forest and I rode my horse for nearly till dusk and then I came to a near a water fall. It was so peaceful near the waterfall. The sound of water tumbling down and hitting the stones was nice to my ears. I could see the stones had become slippery But all I wanted was to drink some water and have some peace. I didn't realized I was so thirsty till saw it.
