12 Ch 12. Ethereal Beauty - My Princess

Suddenly I saw the fairy queen looking at me. She signaled me to be still and not move. Then I felt a jolt of energy leaving and a blast happened. All the women surrounding it disappeared. Then I saw in the midst of all this chaos there lay a lady, no a very beautiful lady sleeping.

She woke up confused and then she saw me and asked "Who are you?". Her voice sweet like silk, was music to my ears. I stood there gazing at her. She tilted her head to her left and her eyebrows raised in a question.

"My princess I am your royal guard to protect you" I replied while bowing down to her for respect.

" Oh, so you are royal guard to protect me. But do you know who I am." She repeated my words. " I don't know who I am, Can you tell me who I am?" she asked.

I was not sure what to answer so I told her, "Princess, you are daughter of the king Vortigern and Queen Aria. You are a ruler of the kingdom Varavan dynasty. As both King and queen are no more you now have to take over and rule the people of your kingdom."

"oh.. Do you know what my name is" She asked excitedly.

I was tongue tied, because we never ask the name of our lords and princess. As I was about to answer the princess, a bright light appeared and next I saw that the princess and a bright light surrounded the princess and princess rose in the midair and all I could see was she was flying in the air.

I did not know what was happening. I was about to jolt in front of the princess when I saw fairy queen smiling at me in the bright light. I let the bright light hold the princess and then after about twenty minutes the light faded and I saw the princess fainted on the floor. I lifted the princess in bridal style and took her to queen's room. I waited for princess to regain her consciousness. But she did not come back to her senses. I was getting worried now that princess was not coming to her senses. I started doubting that "have I failed the queen and the king by not protecting her from the light which of course was the queen herself."

It was almost dawn and princess still lay unconscious. I wonder was it right of me to let the fairy queen be in contact with the princess. Was it really the fairy queen or King Emmanuel has tricked me. I was pacing next to her bed.

As the dawn preceded the bed princess lay faded. I saw the glorious castle which could mesmerise anyone fade away in front of my eyes. It was there and now it was not.

As the castle faded away I became more and more aware that now princess solely at my protection and I need to make sure she is in her kingdom as soon as possible. I was wondering whether I would have to again deal with all the realms I dealt earlier. With princess, it would be dangerous to go through all the realms as at every step there will be a devil waiting to pounce on us.

I looked around whether I would have to walk as I don't know where I lost my horse. I was excited seeing the castle that I forgot where I tied it earlier. Now I was scolding myself for my recklessness. I was about to walk with princess on my shoulders that I heard neighing of a horse. I turned there I saw my horse. I was sure it was not there before. I laid the princess on the horse back and mounted the horse and began my journey back to my kingdom.
