10 Ch 10. Anticipated Meeting Part2

I rose when the first ray of sun broke into my room. I looked around and again I was in awe of the splendour or the room and castle. I followed my routine and was ready in half an hour to meet the Queen. I waited in my room for someone to deliver her command.

As if someone read my mind, a maiden entered with the tray of food and a message. She handed it over to me and bowed down and left without a word. I opened the letter and found

"Warrior ! please make yourself available at the court by mid-day, I would be awaiting you. Till the time you can wander in the palace gardens or whatever you want. "

I was disappointed because the urgency that my King has sent me seemed to be unnecessary now. I am asked to wait till mid-day and I am not sure what I would do by roaming in palace gardens. But since I had nothing better. I ate my breakfast of chicken lollipops, stew and bread with grape wine in silence. After that I wandered around the palace gardens. I was surprised that I didn't find any guards around any part of the Palace.

I was walking and enjoying the nature when I noticed that in between bushes there was a light. I was about to move to that side when a maiden came and said " Warrior, Queen has summoned you in the court".

I was surprised it was not yet mid day but since Queen has summoned so I must obey the rules of the castle. I followed her and came to the courtroom. As I followed the maiden I came to the courtroom. I saw a very beautiful lady sitting on the throne. She wore white gown which was touching the floor. Her hands sparkling and she had feathers. I was wondering am I seeing a fairy.

To my surprise, she answered. " Yes son you are.." I was stunned " did she read my mind".

"Of course son, I can do that, I am a fairy queen"she replied.

I bowed down to her and asked "Your Majesty what are your orders for me"

She smiled genuinely and said "Straight to the point Warrior. I get it why my King has chosen you to take the precious to your Kingdom. Dear I want you to make sure you will keep our precious protected and keep it safe from enemies. It's been a long time I kept precious hidden from the world but now the time has come for us to part from it. I cannot keep precious safe from the world"

" I will protect yours and Kings precious possession with my life and make sure no harm comes to it, your Highness. I will lay my life before anyone even touches the thing which you and our King hold dear to heart my majesty "I replied.

" Yes I know you will" she replied smilingly sadly "But you have to know that since she was born" She finished.

"She?? your highness" I questioned.

"Oh you don't have any idea that our precious possession is not a thing but our daughter" She answered. I was surprised but didn't say anything so she continued.

"She has not seen any male and not even her father has seen her since she was one month child and you will be the first male she is going to see. She is unaware of the world and she would be curious as a child but still she will have powers of fairy. So take care not to piss her and don't be pissed off if she asks you any questions."

"I will not your majesty" I replied. "You can call me Aria. My princess will wake up from her sleep tonight. I will have to make sure everything goes well and then I can leave her to your protection".

There was moisture in her eyes when she said that and I was tempted to know what she meant. "Your majesty, if You don't mind my asking. Why is it that princess cannot stay here in the castle under your protection. Why is it that she has to go in the lands of mortals."
