1 Finding Him

"Let go of me!" Jordyn screeched as the Hydra agent tightened the rope on her wrists. She had almost freed herself but he caught her twisting her wrists out of the rope's excruciating grip.

"Steve!" She knew no matter how much or how loud she got, her brother wouldn't hear her. Her only hope was to keep her tracker hidden long enough for Bruce to find her location.

"Is Sergeant Barnes ready to talk to her yet?" Her heart sunk as soon as Strucker said his name. She would have to talk to her childhood hero and he wouldn't even remember who she was. Bucky had been around sticking up for Steve since before she could walk. Every time Steve or Buck tried to tell her what happened to her parents she blocked it out. Not that she tried to. Her brain just never processed it.

"What did you do to him!" She forced out as all the memories of their disappearance came flooding in. Once Steve met Abraham Erskine she was too scared to even sleep thinking about what would happen to her when others needed him more than her. So she was enrolled in the super soldier program. The last thing she remembered was turning around seeing a gun pointed right at Bucky. She did the only thing she thought was possible, she pushed Buck out of the way. Next thing you know he was holding her up in his lap.

"Why would you do that!" Buck was crying, he never cried. That's when she knew she messed up.

"Tell Steve to behave for me-" It hurt to talk. So she just stared at him.

"You're really stupid, you know that?" Humor was his way of coping. And then she woke up here. She knew about Hydra brainwashing people from the program. That's how she knew he wouldn't remember her.

"Sir, the girl is crying. What do I do?" The agent was scared. She didn't realize she was crying. She didn't know she could feel anything anymore. She didn't know she could still have emotions. She was just too drained.

"Bring the soldier in" Strucker had always made her mad, but now he scared her. She was about to face the guy who stuck up for her and her brother all these years. He was about to walk up to the girl he cuddled so her nightmares would stop when she was little. He was about to walk up to the girl who always had food because of him. He was about to walk up to the girl who secretly had a crush on him. But he wouldn't remember, not any of it.
