3 A Reality Full of Illusions

In the previous chapter-

Jack met his old friends after a long time. They spent the whole night chatting, playing.

Jenny got up to get some snacks. Suddenly, everything became black and blurry.

"So you agree?" Said a sharp yet deep voice.

"I do. But what favor will it do for you? Why are you helping me?" Jenny said, having no control over her body, as if she's acting in a play, and the plot has been made long time ago.

"None of your business" His black cloth was touching the floor, he was hidden inside it.

She looked down at the floor, chills ran through her body. The person glared at her.

"Are you scared?" He chuckled creepily.

"I'm not" she said as strongly as possible.

"So now your wish will be fulfilled. Are you ready to experience your greatest desires?" He asked softly.

"I'm ready." Jenny raised her voice. Her heart was throbbing.

Suddenly she felt someone's cold breath on the back of her neck. She turned. How could he get behind her so fast?

"You sure?" He asked.

"I am" Jenny avoided his bright yellowish eyes. She felt as if she had already experienced it. Her chest was tightened and everything was becoming blurry even though she was doing what she wanted to do. Maybe it was because of the horrific aura of the person before her.

In a second, she felt as if she was falling down from a mountain. She kept falling. She tried to scream but not even a word came out of her mouth.

Not a single sound. Was this the end? Time passed by.

"Hah phew" Jenny sighed out of relief. She got out of bed. She neither remembered when she slept last night nor when Jack's friends left . Although everything she saw at night was a nightmare, the falling was real. She was on the floor, not on her bed like a fool.

At first, Jenny could not understand why all of this felt so real, and she remembered this dream so well. It was because all of this wasn't imaginary. It was the replay of a memory. She froze.

Was it worth it? She didn't even have a clue about what he wanted from her. He refused to answer any of Jenny's questions at that time.

But nothing had happened yet. Neither Jenny had become immortal or unable to die, nor he has done anything to Jenny (thankfully). Maybe all of it was just a dream? But she went there herself. Maybe she just lost her mind? Maybe she'd become a psycho after all that had happened?

But how could a psycho realize that she is a psycho? She chuckled even though, she was lost...

She went to make breakfast. The kitchen was a mess. Jenny sighed and started cutting carrots. That house... that locked room... that diary... that aura...

She gasped as her skin was cut. She should have been more careful with the knife. Jenny quickly ran to find the first aid box. Thankfully, she found it in the drawer of her room. That damn knife...

But her hand... She rubbed her eyes. How could that even be possible? But there was no pain either. A dream? Probably not. Did she need therapy? Probably yes.

That was the perfect time to show her legendary courage or dumbness.

Jenny went to the kitchen and grabbed the knife. She cut the skin of her left index finger just below her black painted nail.

Jenny gasped. She ran like a horse to find the first aid box but could not find it anywhere.

But there was no need to find it, as her skin was already fine. Healing this fast...?

No way! Impossible. How could that happen to an average human like her? She stood there blankly. Maybe she was still dreaming. No she couldn't feel hurt in her dreams... right?

Wait... was it because of...? She wanted to smile, cry and bite her nails at the same time. Maybe she was not fooled by him. Maybe she didn't lose her mind. Maybe all of this was not an illusion. Had she... Really become immortal?
