Chapter One

The Meeting

As she walked conspicuously into the VIP section of the club house, all eyes fell on her. She looked breathe taking in her black tightly fitted dinner  gown and her black and red heels, she looked around with a smile and her eyes landed on a table close by, not just any table but THE Mr Kelvin's table.

She went closer to his table still with a smile plastered on her face, she sat down in a chair opposite him.

"Hi!" she said in an excited tone. She was looking forward to striking a conversation with him and she wouldn't leave until she succeeded.

"Hi!" Kelvin looked away from his phone for the first time. He replied her with a very bored tone, he obviously wasn't in the mood for fun, well that was before he looked up at the idol sitting in front of his. He immediately changed his demeanor and flash a smile at her.

Kelvin is a young business man that is exporting of cocoa and other raw materials. He has other businesses which mostly related to the tech world. All these makes him the very respectable man that he is but what keeps his there is his principles, they never bend for ANYONE.

This is what drew Morgana's interested towards him. Morgana herself is rich and doesn't need anybody to pay her bills. She is a writer who writes novels, articles for magazines, blog posts, copies and website contents in her leisures. Although most of her income came from her fashion brand that dealt in wears and cosmetics.

"How are you doing Mr Kelvin?" She asked in an attractive manner that makes a person quite interested in talking but still in a business like manner. She stretched out her hand and he kissed it as a form of courtesy.

"I'm doing great,  how may I help you beautiful lady?" He asked her trying his best possible to sound polite despite his increasing interest in knowing who she is.

The air around her screams elegance and not that of a gold digger who runs after rich men to earn a living.

"Don't you think the sky is quite....empty today?" She asked him ignoring the initial question he asked.

Kelvin looked towards the direction she was starring at, she was starring at the door. it revealed part of the sky which seem not to have any star on it.

"Hmmmm" he nodded not knowing exactly where she was driving at with her question. Although she does seem like a decent woman but he was beginning to suspect her motive of talking to him.

"Or could it be because of your mood today" she immediately returned her gaze towards him making him to chuckle slightly.

He already understood what this was all about. There was no doubt that she wanted to build a form of friendship between then but she didn't need to say it directly for him to understand. He likes smart women.

Independent, intelligent and beautiful woman. They are his spec.

"I'm just frustrated with something work related but it's fine since you're here to distract me." He finally replied to her last question.

Morgana gave him a small smile before signalling to the waiter to come over.

"Give me a glass of anything hot" she said to him with an emotionless face then she returned her attention to Kelvin.

"I'm sorry but I don't think I can be your little distraction. I was hoping to become friends with the great Mr Kelvin but is distraction is what you seek, then we should probably end the conservation here" she told his in a manner as polite as possible so not to destroy the facade she was putting on.

The waiter brought the class of drink and dropped it on the table then she immediately took a sip of it

"No! I don't mean to be rude, I'm also looking forward to this friendship. I'm Kelvin as you already know" he smiled stretching forth his hand in a business like manner.

"My name is Morgana.... Morgana Bells" she replied his while she brought forth her hand to receive his handshake.

"Morgana Bells? Like the Morgana Bells of House Of Bells?" He asked trying to confirm if it was really the CEO of Bells Empire who wrote against his principles in her magazine articles two years back. He already got his answers before she even uttered a word, the smile she gave him told it all.

I just knew from the very beginning that she wasn't someone from a low or middle class and definitely wasn't some daddy girl but a woman of intelligence and hard work, she is definitely my type.

No! She is not, I already have Natasha and we will be getting married in few months times.

But Morgana is beautiful, confident and smart, she is outgoing unlike Natasha who loves to stay at home all day long and spends half of her life cooking in the kitchen and cleaning the floor

No, you're wrong. Natasha is more beautiful, infact the most beautiful woman and on Earth and I love my woman being shy, God-fearing and decent.

"Erm..... Mr Kelvin? Are you okay" she asked his trying to decipher what was going on in his head, she waiting for anybody language to give it away but being the kind of man he is, she got nothing.

"I'm fine.... I'm fine" he smiled at her then took a sip of the drink in front of him.

"So you're the same Morgana Bells that wrote against my principles in your magazine article, how ironic" he said with a smirk on his face.

Morgana grinned ear to ear, she was glad she didn't need to start explaining who she was before he knew her.

"Well, I was only wondering what is it with these principles that you couldn't even bend for your ex girlfriend, even at the expense of your relationship, or was that a tactic to end it all because you were no longer interested" Morgana realized she was pushing too far, then immediately took a sip from her glass before she continued.

"Anyway, that's not why I'm here. So can we hang out some other time?" She asked with an innocent expression.

"Sure! Are you leaving soon?" He asked

"Yes! I'm quite tired and I want to go back to the hotel before it gets really late" she said while bringing out her phone from her purse.

"What's your email address?" She asked not focusing most of her attention on him but on her smart phone.

"kelvinclerk@wmail.com , that's my personal email" he said to her.

"Would you like me to drop you off at the hotel?" He offered, trying to be a gentle man and a good friend.

"No, that won't be necessary. I'm with my car" she turn him down politely.

"Well, let me see you off the door then" he insisted.

"Okay then!" She agreed. That was the goal anyway.
