1 1. Prologue

She is the only Princess of the land of Heart who was kept hidden right from her birth by her family in an attempt to safeguard her life.

Being a princess, one may think it's all about glitters and gold but that wasn't the case especially when she is the only hope of her kingdom.

Eleanor Beatrice Frederica Heart was brought up learning anything and everything, starting from embroidery to sword fights, from lady etiquettes to warfare, there was nothing she wasn't taught in the past 18 years of her life in seclusion.

She wasn't hidden in the castle like everyone expected. Instead, she was given a 'new' set of guardians who were actually supposed to babysit her. She spent her life outside of the palace sometimes with commoners and sometimes with nobels just to learn they way they lived and the problems they faced so that in the future she could be a great Queen to her subjects. So in order to cover the fact that they couldn't stay at one place for a long time, they took on the identities of merchants, traveling merchants.

And if there is any doubts about whether she meets her actual parents, the answer is yes, she does. It's just not as often as normal children meeting their parents though. She just meets them only twice a year for ten days each, on New year and her birthday. These two times of the year is when she loves it the most because it is the only time she can meet her real parents (ofcourse she treats her guardians as real family too). Infact, even if they don't meet regular like all those normal parents and children, the bond they share is pretty strong. Unlike what's expected, Eleanor doesn't hate her parents just because they can't give her the time she wants. Instead, she tries to understand their predicaments and is happy with the 20 days a year with her parents cause she knows that for these 20 days, her parents have to put in a lot of effort, just to meet her. It's not like they go, 'I want to meet my child' and can meet her anytime, anywhere. They have to plan and see whether everything is foolproof, the security, the timing, the place, the reason with which they go out, everything has to be perfect without any flaw before they can meet their precious daughter. Cause one mistake, and all the effort they put in all these times, the sacrifices, everything will go down the drain.

He is Vladimir Harold Soul, the King of the land of Soul. At a young age of 13, he was forced to rule the strongest kingdom among the four after the abrupt death of the one and only kin he had, his father. Overnight, he lost himself under the burdens of responsibilities. He could no longer be the sweet innocent himself. He had to take on the cold powerful aura a king is supposed to have.

Being forced with all the responsibilities from a young age, people tried taking advantage of him thinking of him as a naive young kid. But that let to the largest reconstitution in the kingdom. Everyone who were disloyal to the King and the throne were wiped out in a single night.

After this tough handed, one brutal strike, the Kingdom of Soul experienced one of the greatest and most peaceful Era.

People who once doubted him because of his age now feared him of his resolute method of taking down his enemies.

The once bubbly and carefree prince had been lost without a trace. In his place stood a calm and collected king who was a master in they way he ruled his kingdom.
