2 Chapter 2

Present time

~ Xavior's POV

"Why'd you do it, Antonio?" I walk around him, waiting for this worthless piece of shit to answer.

"Please... I'm sorry" I punch him square in the jaw. His head whips to the side from the sudden impact.

"That was not the answer I was looking for Antonio" I walk over to the table full of tools and grab a dagger. "I am going to ask you this again, and this time I want the correct answer" I see his eyes widen in fear.

I smirk, loving his reaction. It gives me more motivation to continue. I walk slowly towards him, he starts to squirm, but there's not point since he's tied up.

"I needed the money to get out Boss" I stop right in front of him and kneel so that I am at eye level with him. "You should know by now that there's no way you can get out, tsk tsk" I shake my head from side to side and get up.

"What's even worse, you steal. You don't ask, you don't come to me, but instead you steal from me, did you really think I wouldn't find out?" I ask him as a grab my gun and aim it to his head.

"No Boss please! I promise it won't happen again" he cries out, fucken cries! Is this guy a pussy? "I will let you out" I say to him

His eyes glimmer with hope "Thank you so much Boss, I won't tell anyone about the organization" he looks happy, but he has another thing coming.

"Unfortunately, Antonio, there is only ONE way of leaving the mafia" I aim my gun at his head getting ready to shoot "No plea-" before he could finish, my bullet was already in between his eyes.

"Clean this shit up" I say to the three guards outside. "Yes Boss" they all reply in sync. I walk out and head straight for the bathroom.

Once I'm in my room, I strip off my clothes and turn the shower on. I wait for the water to heat up before stepping in. I moan at the temperature that's relaxing my tense muscles.

I finish my business in the bathroom and walk over to my phone on the dresser to check who sent me a message.

"Come to the kitchen when you're done." I read the message from my mother and put my phone down. I reached for the photo of the girl that I met five years ago. It was a photo of the CCTV footage, that's the only picture I could get from her, since I have no idea who she is.

She is so beautiful, how unfortunate that we had to meet under such circumstances. I think about her everyday and wish that I'd see her again.

If only Kyle, my best friend, didn't call me at that moment to inform me that there was trouble in the warehouse, I could've followed the ambulance and things would've been different today.

I dress in my normal attire, a business suit, and head downstairs to see what my mother wants.

As I walk in the kitchen, I see my mother washing the dishes. "Why are you washing the dishes mamma? We have maids for that." I ask her as she turns around, drying the last plate and putting it away. "Volevo solo usare un po 'le mani" (I just wanted to use my hands a bit).

Her light brown hair, gently tucked into a low bun emphasis her face quite beautifully. Her electric blue eyes sparkle with delight as she sees me caring so much about her.

"Any way, that's not why I called you, I need you to go to the book store and get me a book" she says while walking over to me and giving me a paper with the name of the book on it. I take it from her and kiss her cheek.

"Certo mamma" (Of course mom)

I drive through New York, in my white Maserati, to the book store mamma told me to go.

I walk in and head straight to the section where the book might be. I finally get the book and head to the cashier to pay for the book.

"Good afternoon sir" says the blonde cashier, she tries do seduce me by pushing her breast out. I'm not phased by it because I am not in the mood.

"Hurry up, I don't have all day" I say in a stern voice which shocks her at first but then she hurries to do her job.

"What's taking so long?" irritation evident in my voice. "Sorry s-s-sir, the book does not want to scan, I will get someone to get another copy in the back" I step aside to wait for the other person while the blonde helps the next person in line. I keep myself busy on my phone as I wait.

"Hi, do you perhaps sell the prequal to the book "Riven by Sarah Bryant?" I look up to see who's the owner of that sweet voice.

She makes contact with me and my heart nearly stops at the sight of her. Her dark brown hair flows down past her shoulders, her piercing blue-green eyes stares at me with curiosity.

Her attention snaps back to the cashier who brought her book as well as mine, we pay for our books and she begins to walk away.

I rush to her to get a closer look at her. She's startled by my action, but I don't care, I reach up to touch her cheek. She's still, observing my action.

It is her, this is the girl I saved five years ago.
