2 Chapter One.

10 years later

“Raphe!” Martha shouted from the first floor. “Get up! You have to go to school!”

Raphaella groaned as she covered herself with the duvet. She couldn’t understand why Martha was now demanding her to go to an actual high school when she was fine with the online classes and practising her sports away from the pack. Ever since the day that Martha found her, Raphaella knew that she was not going to be able to mix with the rest of the people from the pack, due to the fact that they pitied her, and she hated that.

“Raphaella!” Martha shouted once again. “I don’t hear the water running or your feet moving, so you better get going! If I have to go up, you will regret it!” She added an empty threat.

“I’m up!” Raphaella shouted before getting out of her bed and into the bathroom next to it.

Getting inside the shower, she decided to try and make the best of a first real day of real school. She knew that Martha was only trying for her to see if her mate was near. The school was located on neutral ground, meaning that two packs went to the same school, and so far they never had a problem. The Blue Moon pack was the neighbour pack, and it was the second biggest pack, the first one being the Red Moon Pack.

Raphaella was part of the Shinning Moon pack, and so far she didn’t have a complaint about it, apart from the fact that people thought that she was odd. Only the Alpha, the Luna, and Martha knew about her past, no one else needed to know that she had been kidnapped and then she had escaped. Neither of them knew that she was powerful, or that she had already had her first shift.

Changing into her cloth, Raphaella walked down the stairs into the kitchen where Martha was fixing breakfast before she went over to the Pack Hospital and start working. Martha is the pack doctor, she is well known and respected, and was the one that rescued Raphaella, all those years ago.

“Are you ready for your first day Raphe?” Martha questioned as she took a seat. “It’s senior year, plus you are of age to find your mate. Aren’t you excited?”

“As I can be?” She yawned. “Can’t I keep taking online classes?”

“No,” Martha replied.

“I already graduated with the online classes, Martha,” Raphaella whined. “Why do I have to be with people that double my age, and aren’t interesting?”

“You don’t find anyone interesting.” Raphaella rolled her eyes. “You need to, in all reality have contact with people who are closer to your age. Hanging out with only older people isn’t going to help you get closer to the pack. You’re a fighter, the best fighter this pack has ever had, and that most likely means that you are going to be chosen to be the Fighter when the new Alpha takes his stands. You need to get closer to them.”

“I just don’t like them.” Raphaella shrugged. “They don’t have a mind for anything other than having fun.”

“Raphe, please try.”

“Will do.”

Martha gave a small smile as she saw Raphaella walk out the door. She knew from the first time that she saw her, that she was no ordinary wolf. She couldn’t understand as to why she only knew that she is. She found her, dirty and covered in blood, what was interesting was that the blood wasn’t from her it was from another person/wolf. Raphaella was barely six when she found her, but she was far more mature and intelligent than any other pup she had ever seen.

Ever since the day she found her, she adopted Raphaella and tried her best to make sure that she grew up as normal as she could be. Between some talks, she figured out that she had been living as a slave for her whole life, she didn’t know where or by whom; she just knew she didn’t belong there, just like she didn’t belong here.

Martha was sure of one thing, Raphaella was the girl in the prophecy.

With a scowl on her face, Raphaella entered the school grounds and made her way towards the office to get her schedule. It was the very first time that she ever entered a high school, she knew how they worked, she wasn’t that stupid, she had just opted for studying online and preparing herself for something she didn’t even know about.

It was everything she had expected, even when there were no humans in this school, they all acted as if they were. People stood in groups, talking and laughing, doing some catching up with the ones that left in the search of their mates for the summer, other simply laughing about shitty pictures they found on the Internet.

With her head held up high, she walked around as if she belonged here, she wasn’t going to show that she wasn’t part of her pack. Two packs in the same ground, she was the future fighter, she was going to show that she was not weak.

“Raphaella.” An annoying voice called her. “It’s so nice to see you here.”

“Cut the act, Sophie.” Raphaella snapped. “Why are you talking to me?” She crossed her arms. “I believe that you rather speak behind my back.”

Sophie narrowed her eyes. “I’m trying to be friendly.”

“Just don’t.” And with that spoken, Raphaella walked towards her class.

Taking a seat, Raphaella stared out the window. She just didn’t enjoy being held up in a classroom, with a lot of people. Her senses were far more developed than the average wolf, and that made her angry because she had to spend more time controlling her senses when she was around too many people. She always had the urge to help people when they were in danger, and she just couldn’t help everyone, because when she needed help, no one was there to help her.

“Is this seat taken?” A gruff voice questioned.

Raphaella stared at the guy and shook her head, figuring out that he wasn’t from her pack. She was sure that he was a Beta, most likely the future one, from the Blue Moon Pack. “No.”

“I’m Killan.” He stated. “Future Beta of the Blue Moon Pack.” Raphaella raised an eyebrow. “I’ve been coming to this since forever, who are you?”

“I don’t answer to you,” Raphaella replied and stared at the front.

“I command you to give me your name,” Killan spoke.

“You aren’t from my pack.” She added. “I don’t answer to you.”

Before Killan could spit out another word, Sophie appeared bashing her eyelashes to him. “Oh Killan, why are you losing your time talking with her?” She pointed at Raphaella. “She’s not worth it.”

“Get away Sophie, I’m trying to know who she is, and why she won’t obey me.”

“Oh please,” Sophie rolled her eyes. “Her name is Raphaella, and she won’t obey you because she obeys no one.” Raphaella narrowed her eyes at her. “She believes that she is better than everyone cause she is the future Fighter of the pack.”

“Get lost, Sophie.” Raphaella spits out making Sophie wink at her before walking away. Closing her eyes, she tried to gain control once again. She was not in the mood to deal with people.

“Oh, so you are the famous fighter,” Killan commented and Raphaella rolled her eyes. “I’m sure that Theo is going to be thrilled to finally meet you.” She raised an eyebrow. “You’re a legend.”

“Shut up,” Raphaella growled and stood up from her seat. “Don’t talk to me ever again.” She added and walked out.

Killan had most of his classes with Raphaella, and he couldn’t help but stare at her. He wasn’t attracted to her, no, but she was someone so unusual, someone, that could simply decide not to obey an Alpha command, apart from that, she had the aura of strong power, the only other person to ever had it, was the Future Alpha Theo Damon.

As he studied her, he found out that she liked to play a lot with a pendant, which contained the picture of a wolf. There was something odd about it like it was supposed to be important, but he just couldn’t figure out why.

“Could you do me a favour and spot staring at me?” Raphaella snapped as she narrowed her eyes.

“I’m obeying orders,” Killan replied and Raphaella raised an eyebrow. “My Future Alpha asked me to see if there was anyone new.”

“Then why doesn’t your Alpha come and figures it out for himself?” She spat.

“He’s away.” He shrugged.

“Stay away from me.” She spoke. “Leave me alone. I’m not part of your pack, so you don’t have to worry about me.”

“That is where you are wrong.” Killan smiled. “We worry for both packs.”
