5 Chapter Four.

Raphaella dodged the trees and the logs that were thrown on the ground as she ran away from her mate. Her wolf was trying to gain control and get back to Theo, but Raphaella was not letting her, she was not going to go back to him. It pained her, yes it did, but she just couldn’t accept the fact that her mate was Future Alpha Theo Donovan, that meant that she was supposed to be Luna of the second strongest pack, and she wasn’t ready, she didn’t think she was ready, even when she was going to be Future Fighter, she didn’t think that she had the qualities to be a good Luna.

What the hell Raphe? Riley exclaimed through her link. Why the hell does Future Alpha Theo has requested permission to enter the land and to take you?

He’s my mate. Raphaella replied. Please don’t let him in until I tell you.

WHAT! Riley exclaimed. Why are you running away from him? Raphaella where the hell are you?

I can’t! Raphaella replied. I’m sorry. And with that, she shut off her pack link.

Theo ran following the scent through the forest. He knew that she was heading back to her pack, and so he requested permission to enter, and for someone to please hold her. He was not going to let his mate run away from him. He had already notified his pack, that if they found a rouge, and was a red hair, it was his mate and they were to notify him immediately.

He jumped over a fallen tree and his paw hit the ground, he knew that if he was in his wolf form he was going to catch up to her faster, the only downside was the fact that he had ruined his cloth.

Have you gotten an answer? Theo questioned Killan.

Nope. He replied. Future Alpha Riley can’t get a hold of her. He says that you are free to enter the territory, but there is a chance that she isn’t there, man.

Why did she jump out of the window? Theo whined.

It’s Raphaella man. Killan sighed. No one can figure her out she doesn’t fit in. I bet that she is scared.

Help me find her, please. Theo begged. I can’t lose my mate, not after everything…

Raphaella finally stopped at the top of a tree and tried to get back her breath. She had been running for over thirty minutes, and she was sure that she was near a human town. If she had gone back to her pack, she was more than sure that Alpha Donovan was going to turn her in. With a sad frown, Raphaella stared back at the forest, her home had been there, the person who was supposed to love and care for her forever was there too.

She had never felt love and affection, not even when she moved in with Martha, it was more of a formal relationship they had, and maybe just maybe that was the reason as to why she was so afraid of having a mate. She had been kidnap ever since she was a baby; she couldn’t trust people, not now, not until she found out who her real family is.

“I’m sorry,” Raphaella whispered before she jumped down the tree and started walking towards the street.

Theo kept running following the scent that Raphaella was leaving, and as he ran, he could perceive that he was near a human town. He let out a growl and stopped ten feet before the street. He needed cloth in order to follow the scent.

Get me some cloth. He spoke to Killan. She entered the human territory. Set up a perimeter surrounding this human town in case she wants to come back. I am getting her.

I’m on my way. Replied Killan.

Theo stared at the town, wondering how on earth was he supposed to get Raphaella to go back to him…

Raphaella smiled at the lady and grabbed her bag filled with new cloth. It was obvious that Theo was going to follow her into the town, and there was no way she could be unseen, she was the only person with a redhead. She wasn’t going to leave; she just needed some time to figure what was going on. Sleeping had helped her think about that changes that she was going to endure. She had to see the bright side of things due to the fact that she had to accept her mate, she could figure out more things about her past in a new pack.

Running her hand through her hair, she got back to the room she had rented to get ready to go back to her pack. Theo was bound to be around the town, but she knew what she had to do, she was going to accept her fate. She was not going to reject him, no werewolf could ever endure the pain of not living with their mate once they caught the scent, but she just didn’t know how to react.

Theo sniffed the air and tried to figure out where Raphaella was. Even with his heightened senses; finding Raphaella was becoming an impossible task. Licking his lips, Theo took a step into the town. He was going to find Raphaella just like humans did, asking around, or going straight to the police, in this case, the police wouldn’t be able to help…

He tried to focus on the sounds, in order to find out if he could pinpoint anything unusual or Raphaella´s voice. His wolf was restless due to the fact that his mate was missing, and thought she might be in danger. If a hunter found out about them, they were screwed.

“Excuse me,” Theo spoke to the lady on the counter. “Have you seen a red hair girl?”

“With green eyes?” The lady questioned and Theo nodded. “Oh yes, she stopped by earlier. Beautiful girl.”

“Yeah, beautiful.” Theo agreed. “Do you know where she went?”

“Oh, why yes dear,” The lady smiled. “She took off towards the motel, just around the corner.” Theo smiled at her. “Go get her boy.” She added with a wink.

Theo started walking towards the motel the lady had told him when he caught the scent. That perfect scent that made his knees weak, the one thing that could calm his wolf, the scent he was never ever going to get tired of, the scent of his mate, Raphaella.

Raphaella was walking towards the centre of the city in order to get to the woods when she caught his scent. Theo was here he had come for her. She stopped walking as they both stared at each other. She had promised that she wasn’t going to run away anymore, and right now, staring at Theo, she couldn’t really understand how she did it.

“Raphaella.” He whispered.

“Theo.” She replied. “I’m so sorry.” She whispered before Theo engulfed her in a hug.

He inhaled her scent, and she did the same. “Why did you run away? Are you going to reject me? I need you Raphaella, I really do.”

“I was scared,” Raphaella replied. “I don’t think I’m fit enough to be a Luna, I don’t think your people would like me.” She added. “I’m not loved Theo, you can’t possibly need me. I believe you are better off without me.”

Theo growled. “Don’t you ever speak badly of yourself ever again, Raphaella, you are more than worth it.” He whispered. “You are loved, I am going to show you how loved you are. Plus you have no idea how long I’ve searched for you, how long I’ve longed for you.”

“Why would you want a mate like me?” Raphaella whispered. “I don’t know where I come from.” She added. “For all I know, my parents dropped me off on a pack to become their slave.”

“What?” Theo frowned. “What do you mean?”

“Theo, I’m not originally from Shinning Moon Pack,” Raphaella spoke. “I don’t know where I am from. I just know that I escaped from a pack and I landed on Shinning Moon Pack. Why do you think that I don’t get along with people my age?”

“Where are you from?” Theo questioned.

“I don’t know Theo,” Raphaella replied, but before she could say anything further, she tensed up. “Rouges.” She whispered.

“What?” Theo frowned. “I can’t sense them.”

Raphaella gulped. “Theo you have to leave now.” She pushed him. “Run, Theo, I’ll distract them.”

“What the hell Raphaella?” Theo barked. “I’m not going to leave you here alone with rouges.”

“Theo!” Raphaella urged. “They are not normal rouges, these rouges are the ones who held me captive.”

Before Theo could reply he tensed up as well, he had caught the scent of the rouges. He frowned, how on earth had Raphaella caught their scent before? Raphaella rolled her eyes and eyed the place, there were only two or three humans walking around.

The rouges were staring at the couple from the borderline, they couldn’t just barge in the town, and hunters would take them down before they could even touch Raphaella. It had taken them years to track her down, and know they knew where she could be found.

With a bark, loud enough for only Raphaella and Theo to hear, they retreated. Raphe stared at Theo and started walking towards the town centre. Theo followed behind confused.

“Call an Alpha meeting,” Raphaella spoke. “I believe that you are going to learn about my past sooner than expected.” And with that, she ran towards her pack.
